In Castlevania's development, Konami had a rule where the developers had to clear their bosses without taking a single hit. I think CO should do something similar. Once a month, a dev should build a unique alt. (Don't have to level it, just create it.) The alt should have different powers than any of their previous alts…
Screw you. You know what, forget everything I said about Cryptic. The hashtag slacktivist brigade is the worst set of tyrants on the planet at the moment. You don't take the time and effort to *understand* anything, let alone *do* it. One of you just photoshops a pretty picture together and then a million or so click on…
I suppose it's clear it isn't Cryptic I'm actually miffed about. Okay, I'll try to continue being patient for now...but I can't put up with this 'society' forever. Life doesn't last that long.
I think the issue is testing is done on PTS with organized groups. Public gameplay has noobs, under-geared players, players who haven't done it before, jerks with zero patience, trolls, and other assorted idiots. So what happens is the best players in the game who are all used to working together try some content on PTS…
Compared to *six* years ago? Yes, a *lot* has changed. The biggest change is the open world cosmic bosses. So, routine gameplay these days usually revolves around that when there isn't an event going on, and they have events going on all the time. Content wise it's a slow trickle of content. I'd imagine if you were to do…
Well, PvE, okay so it helps you one-shot the trash single player bosses, saving you the 1 minute of fighting them. However, it's tied to a passive which has a base damage improvement that isn't as good as the other offense passives. Night Warrior makes up for it in DR penetration, but if you've got another source of DR…
I'm getting a bug with the new weapons aura when using dual blades. The glowing blade effect is only showing up on the left hand weapon, and the runic circles are only showing up on the right hand weapon.
Hmmm....are you asking about ingame things in the default storyline or community driven/roleplay things? I know I'm reading into this but I'm interpreting the question as "Top 10 things Cryptic should put in an advertisement for Champions Online." My thoughts are 'campy voice acting' 1) The intro cutscene for Fire and Ice…
Darn... Another villain, throwing this out there...Hi Pan. He uses magic and was technically the 'leader' of the Cobra Lords at the end of the Westside storyline. Obviously he's Asian and all of his plots therefore have to be super-Asian, but he technically should be a suspect.
Back to the topic: I think it'll be the return of Talisman. A little hack to understand CSINCISSVUBBQWTF plots is "the highest paid guest actor is the murderer". The voice actress who voiced Ladyhawk also voiced Talisman. (Albeit she's one of Cryptic go-to actresses for generic female roles.) We know the villain uses…
Good update, but I have noticed a bug. If you have multiple inventory bags open, and click the "Sort" button on the main bag, it'll sort one of the side bags.
Doing some theoretical thinking can explain why the DR stacking on cosmics can seem "buggy" Imagine you have a dino fight going with 40 players attacking it. So, its DR scales to 40 players. Then 10 people quit. It's obviously not going to scale down immediately, so it has to scale back down to the DR for 30 players after…
No, that's not the point. I've already bought the LTS so they have no reason to give a crap now. It's merely that I'm short on G at the moment and have to wait for my AH postings to sell.
Well, it would be nice to be able to stick to a theme without gimping yourself. What's the point in having all those submachine gun skins if the only power that uses them is only good as a shield?
We could standardize the DPS builds. Have everybody bring a power armor build with Dex as Primary SS with the Expose Weakness Specialization. That way, we get a heap of both generic damage resistance debuffs and particle resistance debuffs. Those -10% damage resistances will really add up if everyone's doing it.
Cryptic got railroaded into this decision. They've been trying to ease the burden buy selling more Freeform slots and adding that value pack. All you can do is buy Freeform slots while they are on sale. You don't know how lucky you are if this is your first brush with the effects of communism.
The aggro is bugged. That's the real issue. The mobs are supposed to stick to their corner. We thought it was healing auras, but I checked. If the healing auras are triggering the aggro, it is *before* the main room.
Another thing to mention. The angel statue in front of the High Apostlic Church blinks once in a while. I think it's a bug, not a clue, but am just trying to reignite the dream.
I tried #53, the Gadroon Mercenary, mostly because I'm familiar with the UNITY 2 missions, and it's always rewarded if you get a There and Bat Again. It didn't affect anything. I tried looking up "Spiral Cat" in a search engine. It returned an all female cosplay group out of Korea that likes to visit game developers. We…
Now that this alert has cycled back, I've done some testing. I have a build with Shadow Warrior and Medical Nanites, so I have a healing aura I can turn off and on. So, I pugged until finding a run where it didn't insta-aggro in the main chamber, then turned on my healing aura. That did not trigger the mobs. It has to be…
You just want DPS with Particle Beam Rifle? http://powerhouse.nullware.com/powerhouse.html?v=13&n=&d=1523TRKMWHP0000710074037903150358005603000000000000000000000000000000000CLK438W035V Stack DEX with just a bit of EGO for CritD. Experimental Burst Ray is entirely optional. You shouldn't even need an energy unlock with this…
I don't know if this is new. There is a non-interactable voodoo doll in the Vibora Bay Arcade. It's beside a "Champions The Game" machine two to the right of the one you put the token in. And it appears to be standing on a pile of coins/tokens. I seem to remember the "Champions the Game" machine having 3 screenshots, but…
Could they at least fix the animation for rifles to line up with the visual effect? All ranged visual effects hit an endpoint in the center height of the target, so that has to be a defined variable. If the target is high or low, the firing animation does adjust to point at the target's feet. All that needs to be done is…
I've got a theory. I'm trying to make a DPS toon that can alt-tank, and I opted for Medical Nanites as the alt passive, because my theme was to go for a gun slinging regenerator (like Deadpool.) The reason I went for Medical Nanites, even though it's a support passive, when my intention is to mob tank, is that the healing…
I started out with a Radiant, and my first Freeform was a modified Radiant, so I've got a few suggestions: 1: Swap Intelligence for Dexterity as a Superstat. Dexterity boosts crits and heals crit too. I'd recommend taking Dex as your primary SS, with Presence as a secondary SS, with you gearing for Presence. 2: Seraphim…
Does it count as soloing Q Warzone if you have Night Warrior and a Psionic Accelerator? Paralyze the whole group of mobs, then Sneak Attack the big one, finish it off if necessary, then kill off anything that barely survived the Psionic Accelerator blast. If you do it right, there will only be one or two left.
There's a huge caveat to Telekinetic Barrage. You'll quickly build up hold resistance stacks stunning your target every .5 seconds. I like Telepathic Storm with the advantage. You can fire it and start blocking right after. It's a good panic button.
For this specific issue, you would have an easier time seeing the mobs if you lowered the graphics settings, specifically by reducing the number of particle effects.
Dexterity is your general damage super-stat. It boosts your crits, which means more melee dps, more ranged dps, and even more healing. The Telekinesis skill tree has melee moves that get their damage bonus from Ego. The only true ranged power that can get a bonus from Strength is Hurl on the Might tree, but it requires an…
It's a superhero game. Flying should be a thing. Adjusting the genre to match the mechanics is bass-ackwards. Please devs, the next time flying will wreck your enemy design, think of alternative ways to deal with the situation. If I wanted to play WoW, I'd play WoW.
About 5 & 6 - The point was that the flaw is default to the cosmic model. It can be compensated for. Yes, present bosses split attacks between 3 tanks. Yes, Qwyjibo's lava pools force the DPS to move. Those are creative solutions which compensate for a fundamental shortcoming. I'm not suggesting changing the existing…
