In addition to the glitch on that head, all human heads have spots on the lips that are a result of incomplete coverage on the tone layer. When making a character with skin darker than your average caucasian you get really patchy lips (the darker the skin, the worse the effect) unless you crank the lipstick up to neon…
Found this out the hard way today. I have a hard time understanding the logic of designing a vehicle that, if used effectively, will result in no credit. There wasn't enough time (people were dying) or vehicle energy to do damage, so I just healed. This is a pretty large oversight in my opinion. Needless to say, my…
That's nice to see. I would like to have been able to use the ears on any head (Arcane Tattoos, etc.) but having at least one normal head to use them on will be cool.
Every time I hear him in that alert it reminds me of Cleveland from Family Guy. I'd really like to know who does the Socrates voice in the Cybermind alert. I think I have a crush on her.
So, the daily Custom Alert missions given by Patel are for everything except Cybermind. Seems odd that he wouldn't have a daily for that one too. Thanks for the response.
I had Concentration in the first place, and it did fine. The main issue I had with it is that I had to fully maintain either Skarn's or Soul Beam in order to gain the stack, and sometimes that was difficult if I was moving around a lot. I changed to Spellcaster knowing that Wisp and Curse would keep it rolling (as they do…
This is especially bad tonight. I'm getting SNR about every 5 minutes. I have two separate connections in my house from entirely different providers, and it happens on both. I just asked in Zone if anyone else was experiencing this, and about 10 people immediately responded that they were. I'm assuming Cryptic is aware of…
I would very much like to see Athletics/Acrobatics, Super Speed, and Super Jump employ a sticky mechanic that allows you to easily scale walls with them, as in City of Heroes. It was far easier to get around there vertically without flight, and you didn't get left behind when moving with a team up buildings and such. I've…
This would be the end of the game for me. EDIT: Long-winded rant about fixing the game and finishing existing systems resulting in more population which would bring more income without resorting to hostile pricing shenannigans.
Can you elaborate on this strategy with Explosive Arrow? I'm not clear on why to take the WtK advantage; the description doesn't have much info other than the delay, so I'm assuming it doesn't add any more damage. Also why would you tap and fill instead of charging it? Thanks in advance.
It would seem that way. Rewriting whole systems (like the status tree) can be hard to sell to management. If you can't show a dollar figure loss associated with the problem, they usually don't want to turn over those stones. Especially if the code has deep dependencies with other systems. I don't know if any of this is the…
Thanks for the input. I thought I had read a patch note stating they had fixed this bug, but maybe it was just the shim you mentioned. It seems inconceivable that this would remain an issue for long; it's a pretty serious bug. At level 20 I'm finding that I do better with this build in Hybrid mode while in an alert…
Thanks so much Flow. This is just about what I had settled on, except for the shield, and I was hoping to cram a bubble or maybe SoEW in there. So I'd run this in Hybrid, I'd assume? Also, I notice that you nearly always use a ranged power for the EB even on melee builds. Is this just so that there's some ranged option for…
Thanks for the responses guys. She has Pres as a SSS. She's a melee (laser sword) seraph type that drops Poz on cooldown and I'll probably pick up some other supportish asset like Mindful Reinforcement or whatever. She's not a healer, I just wanted her to bring some group support as part of her theme. An angel fighting at…
Flow, I play a sorcery-based character of your design (I think) and she runs Regeneration. I find it makes her quite tanky while still putting out great DPS (I nearly always end up taking the aggro on alerts, and am nearly always able to tank it). I'm wondering why I wouldn't take Regen for this build. Or PFF. Why…
I do this all the time. I haven't played Cosmics or anything so I can't speak to that. But the general tactic of breaking LoS to force fail a charged attack works pretty consistently for me.
I think that's the best option. SWTOR did something similar. Unfortunately it resulted in a lot of people screaming at the one person who was just trying to enjoy it for the first time. But even if people were waiting on you, at least their UI wasn't locked up; they could chat or sort their inventory, etc.. I just don't…
Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. I'm having fun with this build. Probably I'll do a secondary build (I wanted to cram Wisp in there too for thematic purposes) with Manipulator and run both according to whether I'm feeling healy/supporty or controlly/dpsy.
Cool, I'll keep that in mind. I took Compassion in the meantime and tooled around in some missions, because I'm already comfortable with it from my healer. What I'm finding is that unless I make sure to stand in my own Condemn rune, I have trouble keeping the stacks up. I don't use Life Essence much solo unless I'm in…
Thanks for the reply. I do understand the differences between the two; I was just wondering why the OP preferred Manipulator over Compassion -- especially since, as you and @rtma pointed out, its particular effectiveness seems to be limited to trash.
I've been leveling a character in this build and am now a point to take Manipulator, but I'm wondering what the reason is to take that over Compassion. Mind educating me?
Oh cool, I was hoping you would respond :) Ok so I was expecting Infernal or Eldritch but I'll definitely check this out and see if I like it. I really wish we could apply cosmetic effects to powers, like something that turns all your stuff nature themed, so Grasping Shadows would spawn flowers and butterflies and such.…
I agree. I am always strongly compelled to hide my characters' heads with masks and hoods, not just because of the faces, but the hair is also so poorly done. I get that it's supposed to mimic the comic book style, but almost all the hairstyles look like playdough or wax paper. There are other issues too, like the texture…
