Possible Server Issues [Resolved]

The Cryptic games are currently having some login issues. If you're logged in, you should be fine; logging in is blocked, though.

We're working to get this resolved as soon as possible.

    Yes, I had a crash during a Rad rumble some time ago rebooted my comp and have been trying to log back in for some number of mins (want to guess about 20 to 25 mins now).
    I am getting a "Unable to authenticate" message at Login...so perhaps authentication issues? ;)

    Yeah, that just happened to me. This is what happens when we failed to beat Mechanon too often, now he assimilated the server.
    Call Maverick if you need a DPS help, or Combat Medic if you need a healer.

    I am known for having extremely good or extremely bad luck with drops.

    Getting the same message when I try and log on.. Unable to authenticate.

    I demand a compensation.

    An upside down UNTIL shuttle, coloured purple. With green dots. Because lulz.
    Call Maverick if you need a DPS help, or Combat Medic if you need a healer.

    I am known for having extremely good or extremely bad luck with drops.

    Mechanon has won. He has figured out how to defeat us by preventing us from logging in.

    Better yet, a scaled down version of Mechanon that you ride around on the back of like in some goofy old "kid and his giant warrior robot" movie. Really cheesy theme song is an optional toggle on the robot like the patriot trail on the one bike.

    Turtle, can you pass the word over to the STO community manager? The posters over there are raging because there was an issue Saturday affecting only STO and they didn't close the thread when it was fixed. So now the ragers are adding to that thread saying things like it's not fixed from an old issue.

    Also I say that the title to this thread is incorrect. We're not looking at "Possible" Server Issues . . .

    Ironically, I just yesterday re-subscribed to Gold membership intending to play more. Set aside two hours to play today... alas... As I recall, the reason I ceased playing long ago was repeated Arc authentication issues. The irony is sharp and tasty.

    In theory, it should work now -- at least, I'm able to log in. Anyone still having issues?

    Chaelk was referring to a gaffe on the other forum. CO often seems completely unimportant to the powers that be.

    From the setup to the punchline, I gather the NW forums are referring to the issues with "both of Cryptic's games, STO and NW."

    I won't verify this independently, because the NW forums are a cesspit such as our community has only had nightmares about.

    I'm kind of curious whether in-house testing is done on or off-site.

    If it's done from an on-site computer, it would explain why they miss some of the bugs.

    I was about to try Steam, didn't work.

    Now, back to ARC, the launcher starts and is patching big.

    Well, at least it's not just me having this issue. I'm just sad I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the game.

    I'm still not sure if my keybinds persisted- I pretty much wiped out the whole installation.

    In-site, but this isn't a bug, this was a networking issue.

    So i have to download the game again, because i was just playing fine yesterday. :frown: Then I'll go install it on Steam again.

    Parallel, minor problem solved.

    Bigger, most important problem: MY UPSIDE DOWN UNTIL SHUTTLE and the other guy's mini-giant mechanon ride.
