You can't buy your fame unless you're female or Caliga.

The difference is that Caliga didn't have to even go that far. ;)

Nah.. not going to get drawn into that. If that's how you feel, good for you.

This message brought to you by the superhero:
    Bacon Overlord

    All available action figures, check.
    Hit the global cap, check.

All 1K mob perks done, check.

As a relatively new player I've noticed Bacon doing/saying several helpful and generally fun/cool things, some of which have helped me out quite a bit (probably without him knowing).

Maybe instead of less character dedication threads, we need more?

    Color me confused...

I did a 50,000 global worth of items giveaway a few days ago, but there's a thread dedicated to someone I see in chat once in awhile talking in all caps with many exclamation points.

Is it just me? Or... am I missing something?

Not trying to be the mood breaker.. just coming back to the forum and a bit confused.

I'm sure someone can fill me in.

If you're fishing for recognition I did notice a Bacon Overlord receiving a Heavy Inferno Nightmare somewhere recently.

Of course it was an automated message and there was no real fanfare involved but I saw and I remembered.

In Book 6 of 'A Song of Ice and Fire', Caliga kills Stannis Baratheon. In Book 7, he kills George R. R. Martin.

Caliga was supposed to be the most recent Doctor. He refused the role because someone said 'Tardis' and he thought they meant ''tarded'.

Caliga got 47 confirmed kills in the War on Poverty.

Caliga has never, in his entire life, flossed. He yells and all the tartar flees.

Caliga is genetically predisposed to male pattern baldness. He has a full head of flowing hair- but not because he's fortunate- the hair follicles are just afraid to move without his permission.

Caliga eats donuts by shoving them through his eye slits.

Caliga prefers to be 'the little spoon'.

Caliga and Trailturtle once made out, and it was just too majestic and beautiful to be considered homosexual. I cried.

Caliga never goes into Club Caprice. That's why it's full of demons and dark lords: it's the only place they're safe.

Lemuria didn't sink because of the Mandragalore: it was Caliga doing a cannonball dive.

I've been playing CO for almost...2 years? I've been hearing the name "Caliga" for quite some time, yet I don't know what makes him so popular. I did see him in-game a bunch of times. Hanging around in his Grav Chariot near Defender sometimes PvPing ,and in his SG Conquer's CCs.

There were even some players cosplaying as Caliga. :P
Seeing that made me more curious.

Is it because he's kinda like CO's Deadpool? I am just so intrigue on how one player can be so loved by many.^^

    Personally, I'm custard.

And, on topic: The BBC once wanted to make a television program about Caliga's early days (before he was a superhero), but the awesomeness melted the test audience's brains. As a result, they were forced to reduce the level of awesome and split the pilot into three separate shows, namely Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Ashes to Ashes.

That does sound more likely - even so, that just tells you how awesome Toshiro Mifune is, to be worthy of Caliga's mercy. When Optimus Prime met Caliga, he changed his slogan to "What is thy bidding, my master?"

The song "Moves Like Jagger" was originally intended to be "Moves Like Caliga," except that Caliga's sheer awesome kept causing Maroon 5's recording equipment to explode, necessitating the change to a much less impressive celebrity.

Fragments of the original song still remain.
