    Where did you hear that?

I'll believe this when we get something more significant than a third route through the Malvan Race rings.
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

if one were paranoid, one could assume that this is an attempt at starting a rumor without being asked to source it. it gets a unsupported claim out there for people who want to support cryptic to quote, and so long as it doesnt attract too much attention and since its an "i heard it" it cant be directly verified or dsproven by questioning the rumor starter. over tiem people who want to believe the rumor will repeat it since its not officially disproven and suddenly ardent cryptic supporters have a socially engineered factoid to call out in arguments, similar to the only 2 devs thing that got traction earlier this year by people disgruntled by cryptic. in other words, a paranoid person could assume this is a lie that specific people want to massage into the "truth"

But its not that. Its not a rumor. Crush has said on several channels thats he is at the moment looking at telepathy powers on Champions. Splo's also back it seems.

Shock horror. Devs really do give some {beeps} about Champions online

Seems it was really just all hands on deck to finish off Neverwinter and now its out teams are returning to the other games.

hey, i said paranoid people, never said if i was paranoid:P that said, for those of us who haven't been playing for the past few days (work overtime and occasional sleep, not game related), that info could have been posted a sooner upthread if you had it. rather than just saying "from what i heard" or posting bert and ernie pics, you could have clearly told us what was said directly by a dev. not everyone accepts hco's word.

I'm sure that they never stopped. However, regardless of which game they want to work on, if they want to keep getting a paycheque, they code the game that they're told to. I'm glad that there's some evidence that they ARE still doing as much as they can here.

It has been alleged that Gentle Mancrush was spotted in the Forumites channel, speaking of how he and Splosions have been working on CO (specifically, there was some mention of Splo working on Telepathy).

These rumors are as yet unconfirmed...

I'll believe it when I see results.

More specifically results in the areas the games needs most such as bug fixing and new explorable content (new maps, new quests, open world zone upgrades and new adventure packs, etc.)

    For me, I...
    • Will pay for new explorable content.
    • Will pay for a full expansion pack.
    • Will pay for a new adventure pack (you know, like you use to have to?)
    • Will pay for Rank Up Catalysts if the price is reduced 50%. (either that or make R9 much more useful, but doing so would imbalance things even more)
    • Will pay for emotes and emote packs.
    • Will pay for Super Group bases.
    • Will pay for more hideout upgrades.
    • Will pay for aura slots.
    • Will pay a ton for an unlimited RetCon option.
    • Will pay for formal military outfit costume pack.
    • Will pay for better hats. And shoes. And belts.
    • Will pay for rental-able instances where the host(s) could hold Costume Contests and kick problematic trolls out.
    • Will pay for Foundry aspects (if it's good enough).
    • Won't pay for more vehicles.
    • Won't pay for useless consumables in the Z-Store (i.e.: Team XP, Acclaim boost, 1-hr Sidekicks, Team Star Refill, etc.)

Also four critical things we need as a community:

    1. Cryptic, please sell a gold / resources cap increase, available to Silver members (above the 250g cap). This will drive the "micro" in micro-transaction and is a boon to Gold members as well as a whole new market of buyers can appear on the auction house. Cryptic profits off the micro-transactions, Silvers are able to buy things securely without risk of being scammed, all players can access a larger market population to sell to, and the gold sink that the 5% auction house fee does will help curb some of the inflation we've been seeing on high-demand items back to reasonable levels. Everybody wins. This has been asked for, for like... 2 years now?

    1. We need a means to get specific 8 core-stat mods (that's CON, DEX, STR, EGO, INT, PRE, REC and END) in enhancement or armoring varieties from the Recognition vendors is critical at this point. The economy needs this, badly. Compare the price of END against CON if you don't believe me, supply & demand are not equal.

    2. Something needs to be done about taking player control away from the chat ban/mute/silencing system. There's been way too many threads about this already with the players practically screaming for action, so I'll leave it at that.

    4. We need a Refer-a-Friend program. Where if you refer a friend and they create an account crediting yours at the one that refered them and level a character to 40, you get a small resources reward (maybe like 5g?). However if they, in addition to taking a character to level 40, also spend at least $25 to get Zen that they transfer to Champions Online, then you get a one-time 250 Zen bonus. This has been proven in other MMO's to drive up population numbers, which is something this game desperately needs. In short, you're giving small token rewards to existing customers to recruit and advertise for your game.

If the above is done. I'll believe we have a developer team that is back and listens to their customers. Until then, I'm inclined to believe it's just that. A rumor. A sighting with no meaningful improvements in sight.

Or they should just find a form to reimplant the old system, from where i got my Sapphire AF from, if my memory is correct. I think it was when somebody payed for a subscription at that time, so it should be now simply when somebody payed $15 in the shop.

I might if they actually priced them sensibly. For example, a team star refill at 35 zen? Yes I can see myself buying this.

These items are like candy at the supermarket. Notice that the price for a single candybar runs from 45-cents US to about a dollar. Only the premium stuff like godiva hits $9. nothing in the current consumable list other than the harajuku sidekick warrants that price, and even they only get it because they come with costume bits.

I should have been clearer I suppose, although I'm often accused of being too wordy as well so... meh.

But yes I agree and this was my intent. If the price was "micro" enough you might see regular transactions for minor boosts like this stuff, but as it is, the price is so high that you don't have good sales volume.
