I just got booted while trying to say "goodbye" to a friend in STO.

    Hmph.

People posted on NWO and STO a minute or two before me, btw.

In other words, everybody is down again.

    Yeah...

Well, on the bright side, this bit of downtime will give me a chance to dig through the forum and try to figure out where the heck you go to start a race...

Yes, it's down again... fantastic. Just when I was going to test stuff on the STO test server. Cryptic really needs to get on this... get SEPARATE HARDWARE for the 3 servers... because putting Neverwinter, Champions Online, and Star Trek Online on the same server clearly doesn't work.

Think I'll hold back on that for tonight... and maybe even for a while more.

Part two of this thread I assume.

I thinks its apparent now that Cryptic's servers have finally hit a user cap. Time to buy those new ones and transfer those games to it, except for CO. Let it run on the smoldering server.

It is still up. I'm pretty certain that the cat hasn't knocked it off the table again. Well, fairly certain.

Yes, I don't know why I can't log in. The server is UP, according to the little green light.

    LOL

Nice. At least we can have a laugh.

Folks are not laughing in the other two games.

Heck, I can't even get on Neverwinters' FORUMS, much less in the GAME. So either
    A) We are doing something RIGHT over here or
    B) We are not worth the effort of completely smashing the Forums.

'Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the universe is, instant by instant, recreated anew. Therefore, he understood, there is in truth no past, only a memory of the past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time

I am on NWO forums--they are very slow due to high traffic.

Anyway, the PWE team is using twitter to get out information at this point, rather than posting on any forum.

I'm really happy Cryptic added this new content to the game! Before, all I could do for hours on end was doing the same quests and content I've been doing since launch, but now with the brand new Server Crash Alert I get to get off my lazy butt and do something IRL! Kudos Cryptic/PWE!

I love this "Real World" zone they added. It's huge and the graphics are amazing. Too bad the gameplay sucks- you can't even use any powers here.

So... I managed to log in and get in-game!

For a minute and a half. Before it crashed again.

Crashing the servers on a Saturday afternoon. Troll level above 9000.

I just got back on for 2 minutes when a guy asked if the game crashes that often. I said yes since NWO, then the game crashed again.

True that, and I can't find the Villain to defeat to complete this alert either. I've been punching my brother senseless for the past half an hour and nothing is happening. I guess that's why it usually takes a while for the Server Crash Alert to end, it gives you no objective or direction! Setting it to primary doesn't give me arrows to follow either...
