... or rather it should be titled "my pics". At this point this thread doesn't contain only my CO characters.
Those are drawings of my toons done by me in my spare time. They do not follow shapes of CO costumes exactly (especially Svietlana's one) mostly because of their stylisation.
This one was made "for thel lulz". Idea was to make her looking like a part of the cast of nonexistent cartoon series while keeping at least basic resemblance to CO costume parts.

Your whole dA's great, but this one, is particularly awesome.
I can see how Duskwing and Deathlark were fun projects.
But you really nailed the design with Svietlana. I hope to see more.

For actual colors and backgrounds any graphic editor will do, as long as it can work on layers. Most obvious paid choice is Photoshop, free alternatives are PaintNET or GIMP.
I'm not using too many tricks, simple textures and overlays are enough.
The rest is patience...

What graphics tablet do you use? Theres lots on the market, Ive been thinking of getting wacom for a few years, just wondering if theres any real alt.
Wacom are pretty much standard. You can find cheaper alternatives, though most of them have battery fitted in stylus, so pen feels a bit heavy. It makes the difference with longer drawing sessions.
Most tablets are very durable. After all, those devices aren't very complicated. What matters is how durable is pen and cable. For artistic drawing you need a tablet with no less than 1024 pressure levels. Anything with less precision is used mostly for technical drawing.
I think the cheapest reasonable choice are Wacom Bamboo tablets.
And color:
That last one is a funny coincidence. I did a picture a few weeks ago of a girl in a very similar pose, also wielding Kirby dots (though not as many!) and I'd drawn it just to try to come up with a costume. :P
Also, finished lineart for this girl.
And I still have no idea who she is and who are her enemies. I just made them for this pic.
Wanted something evil and alien and suitable for cosmic powered hero to kick.
Best part? Even with their spikes and inhuman faces they are less sinister looking than 90% of Club Caprice.
Ahaha! So true.
I like them. Very classic looking.
Malvan version makes more sense CU wise. On the other hand, I strongly dislike Malvans as a concept. An omnipotent race of indolent sybarites doesn't speak strongly to me.
They should be wiped or conquered by some CU equivalent of Kree.
I'd go human. Just because space-based energy humans aren't quite as common as space-based energy alien things. But maybe that's just me, it's your call.
Or rather first of two. I couldn't decide if I want it colored in a classic, or a modern style. So I'm doing two coloring versions, and this is the first one, classic stylised.

Making it finally with halftones was something made for the sake of stylisation. Colors are the same, nothing changed, but clean version is far too colorful and vibrant for this older comic book feel. Where colors were never vibrant because of quality of paper and technique used for prints, even when those books were new.
Amazing work, this type of work makes me wish I was better at Photoshop.
Where digital drawing is more helpful is a sketch phase, as i'm using a lot of scribbling before finally establishing forms and keeping every phase on separate layer makes it less time consuming than erasing pen lines and switching pencils. But technique is still the same, I'm too used to pen and paper to change it.

Great work on the newer pic you just posted.
That's awesome. Are you writing a whole comic?
Oh I see. Well I think you've certainly nailed it. The inking style is spot on. And that's a great angle on the main pic. I'm jealous of your inks!
But it will not be colored for some time yet, as I have other works and a commission to do.

And this is how it everything starts - from preliminary sketches. At this early stage anatomy and proportions are hardly my main concern. They can be ironed in real sketchwork. But this is when I decide about poses and how body is weighted.
I'm pretty sure that her CO costume parts are easily recognisable on this piece.
Also, bows are tricky to draw in perspective. Much more than guns.
