Any chance we could have the original gladiator unlocks either re-added to Nemcon, or added to the SCR store?

Trying to decide if this is a joke or not.

I'm sure Cryptic is serious about it, but players won't take it seriously!

I'm certain the chances of obtaining either the tank or the transform device are so low unless you invest a lot of money into it, you won't get either item.

    Welcome to Lockbox Online

I've been saving dozens of keys for a new lockbox like this. Especially good since actually brand new costume pieces are available in it. And a new massive become device is going to be awesome.

I must admit a sort of fascination with hoarding lockboxes. I have 2500~ tank boxes, and 3500~ grav boxes stashed away for... I don't really know what. But I'll probably enjoy doing the same with this one as well.

The takofanes boxes ended up selling for 10G each in the Auction House, largely because of tiny chances to get a become device or 4-slot gear.

    +1

I'm sorry, but its true. I don't want to buy lockboxes to a diminutive % of chance of getting this costume piece, or that item... I would rather buy a costume pack.

Goes without saying, content could be nice too.

    Costumes: good.
Vehicle that shows the player: good.
Mods that aren't just vehicle mods: good
    4-slot gear: good

Not showing % chance to win award: bad
become device that hides character and makes a $9 z-store purchase less fun for people who already bought it: terrible

I've given up coming to CO because new archetypes, promised shield block power and actual story based content is not there anymore.

And they won't tell you the percentages because they are so low as to incite rage if you know them

An STO player did a calculation once on their lockboxes, I think it was something like .04 chance of reward.

I'm not satisfied about the current Lock Box drop rate. It's too grindy. Atleast on the old rate you just did stuff and got boxes. Now you really need to grind mobs to get some.

I would like to be able to spend my monthly ZEN stipend on something other than lockbox keys for a next-to-nil chance at a drop. This is a fun game that is quickly becoming a tiresomly obvious cash grab because of all these lockboxes. This is not what I signed up for.

Agreed. At least if I go gambling in a casino, I get a rough idea of what the odds are at, for example, the roulette or blackjack tables. This is just their way of fixing the game and not telling us, like sketchy carnival barkers with rigged booths.

I'm a lifetime member & having been playing since Beta & lifetime for almost that long. I've more than made my money back in not needing to pay monthly. I enjoy playing for the customizing of costumes & powers (along with gear for performance). I get free 500 zen a month & already own ever costume piece in the game so fa,r along with all the TP's & hideouts. If you want me to part with anymore money PWE, you will create more costume pieces, more permanent content (not just events), you will need to create more AT"S (even if I have to buy them separately) & you will need to wow me with something a whole lot more impressive than lockboxes with a slim chances of getting what I want. How about a higher level cap or the second part hinted at in whiteout for whiteout or a truly impressive piece of new content like a new zone. oh yeah I like the game, but I'd be more impressed with the bugs being dealt with that have been there more than a year; you must have had enough reports about the bugs by now, right? I challenge you to be more creative & to fix the incredible number of bugs in the game. Then I will be impressed.

    Okay, I INTENSELY dislike lockboxes.

However, as with the previous ones. I clubbed up enough Zen from my Q stores to afford ONE key.

Got some drifter salvage, and a gear box. 5x Con Armor 7 and a 3-slot Defense Primary. Not a GREAT Defense Primary, but not bad. That and I immediately fused the 5 into a Con Armor 8 WITHOUT a safeguard catalyst.

I'm now officially *over* the Malboxes.

Well on the upside, I'm perk grinding mobs, so yeah, I'll get the boxes, just slower then before. And I'll probably buy the swag in 'em at the auction. It's kind of nice not to be tripping over the boxes every five minutes. :)

Having what some of the other folks have mentioned [higher level, fixed bugs, more zones, expanded hideouts, etc.] would be very nice. But even without them it is a very enjoyable game.
Maybe add vehicles people want to use, like abrams tanks, or chopper motercycles or horses. [or Robot horses, even better!] or... I dunno, Rollerskate travel. I want my tank to run over cars, not UFO hover above them! With gen-u-ine crunching animation!

But, on that note, I'll take any costume piece I can get. especially the discontinued ones- those would be a great adition to a legacy costume box. Like.. bac halo, or that silly gladiator belt from nemcon :) Or... a ff slot sale. *Shameless face*

Which reminds me, the "known issue" of broken ff slots from the Mechassassin missions last spring- since when is that an "undiscovered game bug"? That is my main disappointment so far with this game, my ffslot never got fixed...
And I know there were dozens of forum posts about it, and yelling in zone, and many many help tickets sent in...and... still waiting.
So please add that to the "To Do" list. :P

All lifetime members should file complaints with the Better business bureau or similar office in your country against Cryptic and Perfect World Entertainment. This is clear cut bait and switch, which is illegal (at least in Canada and the US). We all signed up and paid for lifetime subscriptions with the promise of certain things. They baited us and then switched everything to this lockbox crap.

When's the last time any of you have bought anything in the Z-store? Other than keys.

There's a reason why Cryptic has an F rating. It's not going to change anytime soon. I would be ashamed to work for Cryptic.

While I personally despise lockboxes and everything they stand for, one suggestion. In STO, it's possible to pay 200 dilithium (Their equivalent of Questionite, for those who don't play it) for a stack of 20 lockboxes. So if you actually want hundreds of them, you can have them for a small price rather than grinding for them. Now that they don't drop off every other enemy, would it be possible for a similar option to be added to this game?

I'm not much for sticking up for Cryptic, but I will point out that the *only* thing I was promised from my LTS was "subscription level access" to the game, for as long as it's running. To that end, Cryptic has kept their end of the bargain.

I'd also like to point out that there wasn't originally a stipend w/ a subscription, but they gave lifetimer's one when the game went F2P, which was nice.

Still, it has been a long time since we got a full-fledged costume set in the C-Store, and now that new pieces have been added in lockboxes... yech! I hope they're released as a set in the not too distant future, or are earnable through the Malvan event.

The better business bureau is a private organization not a regulatory office. Feel free to write them as you like but, having dealt with them in the past, I am not inclined to deal with an organization which implied that if the company that employed me was a paying member complaints would not affect its rating to the same degree.

That said, LTSers were promised access to the game for its life as well as certain costume pieces and the like.

Currently the original LTSers get more than they were promised at the time of their purchase. They get cash shop currency every month (not mentioned as part of the original LTS deal) as well as access to the VIP lounge (also not mentioned as part of the original LTS deal).

So, if you want to complain to the BBB that Cryptic is giving you more than you paid for...feel free.

Or they could just dump the whole idea of annoying dropboxxes and go back to the 'grab bag' style thing where you just buy the dumb thing and open it. At least that way you didn't get irritated by trash drops if you wanted nothing todo with the Shanghi lotto.

Bad idea, since no lockboxes = no income because the mighty LTS club, does not spend money and the LTS "fee" was used up entirely after a couple of months already, d'oh! I've got the feeling that it is about that time of the year... where pulling the LTS card and trying to get more freebies is the last resort, just like in the past year rofl.

I'm happy with the new lower lockbox drop rate. Maybe these things will sell in the auction house now. People (like myself) who don't want them can sell them to anyone out there willing to gamble and buy keys.

I wish you'd include a video with these new devises, travel powers, and some of these new costumes pieces/sets so we can see what we're getting. I really appreciate the fans out there that make videos for just this reason but this is something that the designers should be doing.

I have a LTS and a gold acct and I've spent at least 3 times the cost of the LTS. actually I blew 2 tiems that in the first month of play. So more than 3 times

Back on the subject of lockboxes,
why don't they just put a vending machine near Lt Patil, with all the different lockbpxes in it. then people could get as many as they want and those that don't want them won't. still buy keys but you know that you will be able to get them when you want to
Stuffing up Freeform builds since Mid 2011

I would love to see your evidence that LTS holders don't spend money.

What freebies did LTS holders get in this last year ?

Look, if you buy a LTS you have everything for free the game had to offer until 2010? I cannot remember exactly which date it was but if you have an infinite Global cap along with every single costume piece /archetype etc. you BUY the new shinies INGAME by using GLOBALS or the zen received that comes along with the LTS. And this is what the majority of the LTS fun club does. It was a nice try of you, though. But i doubt you can even understand/figure this out for yourself since it involves common sense. I've told you in the past that common sense is very important and you are clearly lacking it. Proove this, proove that, show me evidence for this and that... just open your eyes once, for your own sake.

    # LTS did not get freebies, which is a good thing. But i can remember the cries... "we are the ones keeping this game alive" which is total bull. I also meant "trying to" not demanding, i corrected my own post, my bad.

This is why Lockboxes do not bother me, but LTS abusers/leechers do.

    Have a nice day.

Until the day you have spend more money to this game than i have, STFU.
Shut you ****in trollish mouth and crawl back under that bridge you came for. But ofcourse that wont happen, because that would mean your little world has crumbled.
I just have to laugh how you bother to write so much text to appear that you have some intelligent or actual facts. But hey keep on scribbling, seems your tiny little world appers to rotate around it.
But still, you are just a little troll and those come 13 in a dozen, so you're nothing special. I hope your day brightens even more now.
But don't let us leechers/LTS abusers to bring you down too much, you might end up embracing your so called sword too much and go blind.
    Love you.
