I'm sure Cryptic is serious about it, but players won't take it seriously!
I'm certain the chances of obtaining either the tank or the transform device are so low unless you invest a lot of money into it, you won't get either item.

I'm sorry, but its true. I don't want to buy lockboxes to a diminutive % of chance of getting this costume piece, or that item... I would rather buy a costume pack.

I've given up coming to CO because new archetypes, promised shield block power and actual story based content is not there anymore.
And they won't tell you the percentages because they are so low as to incite rage if you know them
An STO player did a calculation once on their lockboxes, I think it was something like .04 chance of reward.

Agreed. At least if I go gambling in a casino, I get a rough idea of what the odds are at, for example, the roulette or blackjack tables. This is just their way of fixing the game and not telling us, like sketchy carnival barkers with rigged booths.

However, as with the previous ones. I clubbed up enough Zen from my Q stores to afford ONE key.
Got some drifter salvage, and a gear box. 5x Con Armor 7 and a 3-slot Defense Primary. Not a GREAT Defense Primary, but not bad. That and I immediately fused the 5 into a Con Armor 8 WITHOUT a safeguard catalyst.
I'm now officially *over* the Malboxes.

Buuu, Caliga not for president 2016!
Having what some of the other folks have mentioned [higher level, fixed bugs, more zones, expanded hideouts, etc.] would be very nice. But even without them it is a very enjoyable game.
Maybe add vehicles people want to use, like abrams tanks, or chopper motercycles or horses. [or Robot horses, even better!] or... I dunno, Rollerskate travel. I want my tank to run over cars, not UFO hover above them! With gen-u-ine crunching animation!
But, on that note, I'll take any costume piece I can get. especially the discontinued ones- those would be a great adition to a legacy costume box. Like.. bac halo, or that silly gladiator belt from nemcon
Which reminds me, the "known issue" of broken ff slots from the Mechassassin missions last spring- since when is that an "undiscovered game bug"? That is my main disappointment so far with this game, my ffslot never got fixed...
And I know there were dozens of forum posts about it, and yelling in zone, and many many help tickets sent in...and... still waiting.
So please add that to the "To Do" list. :P

before it went cactus I had 4218 kills on nephilim, now I'm back to 3915. The server going cactus seems to have wiped half an hour of kills.

I'm not much for sticking up for Cryptic, but I will point out that the *only* thing I was promised from my LTS was "subscription level access" to the game, for as long as it's running. To that end, Cryptic has kept their end of the bargain.
I'd also like to point out that there wasn't originally a stipend w/ a subscription, but they gave lifetimer's one when the game went F2P, which was nice.
Still, it has been a long time since we got a full-fledged costume set in the C-Store, and now that new pieces have been added in lockboxes... yech! I hope they're released as a set in the not too distant future, or are earnable through the Malvan event.

The better business bureau is a private organization not a regulatory office. Feel free to write them as you like but, having dealt with them in the past, I am not inclined to deal with an organization which implied that if the company that employed me was a paying member complaints would not affect its rating to the same degree.
That said, LTSers were promised access to the game for its life as well as certain costume pieces and the like.
Currently the original LTSers get more than they were promised at the time of their purchase. They get cash shop currency every month (not mentioned as part of the original LTS deal) as well as access to the VIP lounge (also not mentioned as part of the original LTS deal).
So, if you want to complain to the BBB that Cryptic is giving you more than you paid for...feel free.

Or they could just dump the whole idea of annoying dropboxxes and go back to the 'grab bag' style thing where you just buy the dumb thing and open it. At least that way you didn't get irritated by trash drops if you wanted nothing todo with the Shanghi lotto.

Bad idea, since no lockboxes = no income because the mighty LTS club, does not spend money and the LTS "fee" was used up entirely after a couple of months already, d'oh! I've got the feeling that it is about that time of the year... where pulling the LTS card and trying to get more freebies is the last resort, just like in the past year rofl.
I wish you'd include a video with these new devises, travel powers, and some of these new costumes pieces/sets so we can see what we're getting. I really appreciate the fans out there that make videos for just this reason but this is something that the designers should be doing.

Back on the subject of lockboxes,
why don't they just put a vending machine near Lt Patil, with all the different lockbpxes in it. then people could get as many as they want and those that don't want them won't. still buy keys but you know that you will be able to get them when you want to

Look, if you buy a LTS you have everything for free the game had to offer until 2010? I cannot remember exactly which date it was but if you have an infinite Global cap along with every single costume piece /archetype etc. you BUY the new shinies INGAME by using GLOBALS or the zen received that comes along with the LTS. And this is what the majority of the LTS fun club does. It was a nice try of you, though. But i doubt you can even understand/figure this out for yourself since it involves common sense. I've told you in the past that common sense is very important and you are clearly lacking it. Proove this, proove that, show me evidence for this and that... just open your eyes once, for your own sake.
# LTS did not get freebies, which is a good thing. But i can remember the cries... "we are the ones keeping this game alive" which is total bull. I also meant "trying to" not demanding, i corrected my own post, my bad.
This is why Lockboxes do not bother me, but LTS abusers/leechers do.
