    Testing signature. Since I'm here, thanks for the info! One bit I didn't find (I'm sure someone covered it, but I couldn't find it ^_^) was what format the image needs to be in. First I tried was .bmp, but I wasn't too suprised it didn't work, it's just what I was editing the image in. Then I saved it as a .png and it worked. Not sure if I just got lucky or if the system supports multiple image formats.

    Preview isn't showing the image, posting to see if it's there. Edit: Nope. Bummer. Ah, there we go!

    The default avatars they had us used was lame. I don't know why they removed the option for custom avatars.

    They didn't really remove it, it's just clearly not hooked up properly.

    If it were removed, there wouldn't be a workaround.

    Right I've done that. I have my old signature banner uploaded and it shows down below where it says preview. But when I post there is no signature. :p

    I'm ready to pound my head into the wall. I spent a good hour this morning trying to get it to show up and it wouldn't. I guess it will only show up in new posts after you get it working right.

    Although it strikes me odd that that stuff isn't linked in the User CP. I mean, those are all default controls for this type of board. They would have had to have gone in and deliberately removed them, I think.

    The forums have had an overhaul recently, to better integrate with our now non-optional Perfect World accounts or something.

    As with anything the developers do, the new forum was released half-baked and many useful features were lost or hidden away.

    I wouldn't call it overhaul, rather downgrade. It's not like the "new" Forum was developed, it was just integrated with the rest of PW forums and since there wasn't any real features available, we lost ours. I think, we and STO are only ones with the custom avatar features. Slowly theres been some upgrades.

    Heh, what is it with game companies and totally outdated message board tech? The system they had at CoX when I got there in '06 was outdated when they installed it in...what, '02 or around there? It's not like they build them. Most of these boards are just paid for systems. I just find it odd that they actively turned things like that off. I've never been to this type of board where all that stuff wasn't on.
