Another protip: if these boards work the same way as the STO boards do, they wont keep you logged in if you close the window. However, once you have entered your login info, all you should have to do in the future is click the "my account" link at the top of the page and it will log you in. This way at least dont have to re-enter the info each time.

PS: And if you are using a sig, please add a line at the top to separate your posts from your sig =P

    EDIT: Realized that could be read wrong. I mean the 1-cupcake thing is both asinine and arbitrary, but it's my cart, darnit.

    for some reason neither my custom avatar or my custom signature are working... why could that be? avatar is 80x80 and 9 Kb and signature is 500x150 and 130Kb... :c
    edit: nevermind, they work now XD I'm glad I dind't spend 40 mins drawing it for nothing :D

    Random tip for people with picture sigs:

    If this works the same way as it does on the STO forums, you can hide text in your sigs. When you upload your sig it should add a [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] line to your signature. If you put text in between those tags, that text will pop up when people mouse over your sig pic. People over on the STO side are using to store info like their original join dates and character names. So if you write [SIGPIC]Hello[/SIGPIC], then "Hello" will pop up if someone mouses over your sig. Just something random we found out over there.

    Sigh. My old computer (with a pic of my ever-so-handsome face on it) died a couple weeks back, and I haven't been able to find the interface cable to copy from that one's hard drive to this one's hard drive (got my roommate's old laptop here), so I don't have the pic I used for the SCP forum avatar. Found where it was in my email, but I need to edit the paramaters (it's currently a bit too big), and it turns out that his MS picture software won't work if it's not registered. Waiting on a download of OpenOffice to see if I can make the pic do what I want it to, or maybe shrink down a pic of my lovely wife just a tad...

    to separate your post text from your sig.

    But that takes wooooork, and I likely won't have time (as I've gotten forced-plans dropped into my lap at the last minute that, naturally, have a ton of prepwork).

    This update is troubling...

    The forums are really hard to read, but at least we can recover our custom appearances and what have you! Thanks to those that help the community!
