Any improvements to this might dps build

corunncorunn Posts: 81 Arc User
Here's the build I've been using. Does pretty well overall, but kinda sucks in alerts. Defensive combo isn't great damage, and roomsweeper doesn't usually kill trash mobs (even with justice gear). For single target attacks on bosses I use roomsweeper to give demolish, then uppercut, then haymaker x4, then setup again. Works great unless blocking delays uppercut - then I have to start over.

Looking for improvements if there are any. Thanks!!!!

Well, you can put another rank into Defense Combo to help its sustained dmg a bit more (the extra rank in the combo will also boost its dmg shield, fwiw). Ranking up Endorphin Rush could also be nice. You can axe the special adv on the block and/or the lunge (since you can just use Uppercut's adv for Reckless) and/or take a rank from the AO to free up adv points.

For trash, you can build up knock immunity w/ the combo and switch to Haymaker and/or Roomsweeper (which should also deal increased dmg then). You could also swap Fort Gear for Slaughter in Warden if you want more crit on the combo, and if you don't mind that trade-off. If AoE reach is an issue, then you could get a power like Havoc Stomp w/ Major Impact or Shockwave w/ Power Shift to group up mobs easier (maybe instead of the AO or lunge), but that's also up to you.

A fun trick is using Earth Form especially post-NW nerf because it provides crushing damage, a slow aura and various physical resistances.

Tbh, using Setup (In Brawler tree) with Defensive Combo and Haymaker is a great combo to use for Might. It looks fine to me as is though.

    NW has been nerfed?
I like Flow's idea of removing rank from lunge and putting it into defensive combo. I kept thinking that the lunge would allow me to apply reckless/bastion without roomsweeper, but I never seem to use it, so....

I figure removing a rank from my AO would make it mostly useless, though. Speaking of which, should I ditch the AO and get an ultimate? Like catastrophic pummeling? (Or whatever)? I mostly play endgame stuff except to run alert dailies.

NW just lost the innate defensive penetration and the free Shadow Strike power (since Shadow Strike is basically becoming an ultimate), there's not a real -nerf- as much as people say it is.

I would prob take an Ult (esp one that applies Overpower) before an AO, unless you also want the break-free (though ADs can also give that via the Unchained adv). It's up to you.

I made a Might DPS build from your punches-only workup that might appeal to you.

Wish I had the stoic flight! :) Out of curiousity, what's the appeal of Earth Form over Unstoppable?

you get a heavy amount of crushing damage (your damage type) plus a hefty amount of physical resist plus a slow aura compared to unstoppables lesser defences.
