Account server time out

Getting the following error after updating the launcher:
Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out

Anyone else having issue?

    I'm getting the same "Account server connection failed" message whenever I try to log in.

    Please fix this.

    Yep. Everytime I switch this character I get this message and have to relog. Please fix.

    without fixing the problem the GM do nothing to solve the problem the game is going overboard

    You guys are lucky you can even log in. I can't even pull the game up without seeing "Account server connection failed" and being logged out automatically. (It's my wife's birthday weekend. I have to wonder - did she pay off Cryptic to make this happen...?)

    It's still happening. It's very erratic for me; occasionally it will let me back on right at the login, occasionally I have to restart the client, and then occasionally I'm just out of luck and can't log in at all.

    My friend has this issue as well, and it's just as unpredictable, only it's been less lenient on him and just won't let him on often.

    Both of us are automatically disconnected from the server whenever we try to swap characters, no matter which it is doing. Several people have indicated the same issue in-game as well.

    I hope this is something that can be fixed soon.

    It still happening to me whenever I try to switch to another character. I had to relog just to switch characters.

    The connection issues seem to come in a couple different flavors:
    • - can’t connect to the character select screen
    • - Can select a character but then can’t get to a map
    • - Can get to a map, it then have no real interaction with it, rubberband, no chat, etc
    • - Disconnect with out a SNR message
    • - Disconnect when trying to change characters
    • - Server cannot connect to character creation stuff.

    This was happening on the Live server and PTS.

    Well I'm getting constant Server not Responding now when switching characters, entering alerts or even getting inside lair missions​​
    POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!

    Same. Neverwinter is having a maintenance this morning and I think they share login servers. Maybe that's the problem.

    I was in, went to switch characters, got kicked out, and now I can not log in.

    Ok I have had this issue in the past. Today I have been getting this error message for 30 minutes. I have tried restarting my computer and nothing seems to work.

    If you are getting account server timeouts, please open the options menu in the launcher and set your proxy to none. There is an ongoing issue with the US proxy.

    And... how do you do this when you can't log into the launcher because it times out?
