    actually suprised we didn't get a double exp boost this event. (I thought we did briefly, cos one of ,my toons had the buff... turns out i hant played him in a while

    All it means is it was apparently targeted at games that were streamed by some Phantomlord guy. I guess he doesn't play CO.

    I seemed to recall we had a double xp weekend the last few new years.. I realize we just had one a little while ago but c'mon.. it's Christmas. (or at least, it was..)

    1) You mean import. and,
    2) You'd need a scanner, but more importantly,
    3) Harley would need to be a copycat

    Mr.Turtle said he runs "Sanity" test on server. When that is done, they'll enable servers. I believe its 15-30 minutes.

    Y'know, I've never seen the appeal of XP boosts in RPGs. I figure it either screws up the pacing or that the pacing was designed to be screwed up for people not using boosts. And in CO there's not even an endgame to skip to.

    For some reason the word 'sanity' in this sense makes me worried about how unstable the servers really are.

    If the DDoS on Battle.net and LoL was the cause of PWE's outage, PWE may have only been collateral damage. Also, if I'm reading what TT said correctly, all of Cryptic's games (and Blacklight: Retribution) were having upstream connection problems, but whatever the problem was, it only crashed CO's servers. That could be anything from server OS versions to hardware to network topology. No grand conspiracies, no "Cryptic/PWE hates CO", just the sort of dumb luck that tends to hang over us.

    Good thing they didn't run a sanity check on the players - we'd be offline for weeks...

    Let's fix the banding/SNR/diconnect issue plaguing a lot of players, hmm? Mine started at the full start of this event (right before Christmas).

    server was playing silly buggers earlier but so was my internet connection. ok now
    6.40am Western Australia

    which is...about 2.15pm server time it was not connecting to patch server

    Skarck, now you're just trying to be provocative. There were four instances of MC active as of 4pm Pacific, and thirteen people in the Desert. That tends to indicate that the server was up, n'est-ce pas?

    Yeah, and considering how after someone mentioned it's down again, you then say it's up, at a later time, and given previous encounters, I'm led to believe you think eveyrone's lying unless you see it for yourself

    Still issues with the SNRs and disconnects as of 12:50AM CST (10:50 PM Server). Can't play more than 5 minutes.

    I'm not getting anywhere enar as bad as Shila but I am gettin a lot of server not responding the last couple of days and usually mine is pretty good.
