    Wow, I'm really loving the auras system here! I love the fact that they are account-bound.

    Good:
    • I love how the colors customization stay with the auras, and the fact that the hue can be changed.
    • It should really open up character customization, which is a big draw of the game.
    • I just love the UI additions--it makes sense to treat it as a separate tab.
    Need Work:
    • Can't seem to drag auras to the aura storage unless main inventory box is open.
    • Double-clicking on auras in inventory sends them to random places--sometimes aura storage, sometimes combat auras and sometimes passive auras.
    • Double-clicking on active auras sends it to main inventory bag instead of aura storage.
    Questions:
    • Will there be console commands to equip/remove auras with keybinds? (Please, please, please.)
    • Is Aura storage per character or per account? Is it like another bag on the character or does it behave like the storage in hide-outs?
    • Will elder worm humidity dome be converted?
    • Will there be any auras that make the character transparent, like a ghost/astral projection/etc? Or will auras be strictly particle effects?
    Suggestions:
    • Add an NPC with a dialog tree that allows the NPC to show the effect of every legacy aura.

    Bug: Auras that have their color changed, like Fiery Form, and then become defaulted, they go to their original color, not the color they were when purchased.

    Fiery Form was white before I changed the colors of it and can't go back.


    Remove the uniqueness from Legacy Auras so we can have red, white and blue Fiery Auras.

    Aura storage is per character. Hence what I said about having to rebuy auras for every toon that you want the aura for. No aura is shared amongst your toons.

    Let me get this straight:

    The old auras that were tied to passives that we get for free with any character are character-bound. That makes sense because you could just makes a bunch of new toons and farm them otherwise.

    The new auras are account-bound and can be transferred between characters. (I just put one in my hideout bank.)

    Will the legacy auras we buy from the store be account-bound as well?

    You can already tie auras to specific builds aka costume changes in that way. =) But the auras go to your main inventory instead.

    Please tie it so that when you switch a build the auras go to the aura inventory.

    A little disappointed that all of this wasn't in the costume creator but it was probably too much a hassle to even attempt to add a new category. I will say that this sounds like a solid update and I hope it ends up even more solid on live. Now I need to finally resubscribe after a few months and check it out!

    I say stuff and I say things, sometimes together but only when I'm feeling adventurous.

    BUG: Activating Aspect of the Bestial still produces an aura on charge up.

    Reproduction: Just activate it. Always hated that effect on it, and personally with auras being divorced from powers, this should probably be done away with now.

    Didn't the announcement say that "Passive" auras were removed? The Aspect of the Bestial is a toggle, not passive.

    Powers:

    Slotted Passives no longer have continuous aura-style visual effects. Those effects have been moved to Legacy Auras with the same names as the Slotted Passives they were originally from. A few Slotted Passives that have only brief startup visual effects are unchanged. This will allow you to choose an Aura combination that matches your theme instead of it being dictated by your passive power.

    Yep...

    Technically forms are passives to...you just have to activate them once...

    I extremely doubt that, as every character will get a Legacy Aura token for free upon character creation. Thus you could easily cheat the system making new characters instead of buying the Legacy Auras you want to use.

    BUG: Krackle Aura has a loud "bubbling" sound. I tested Rune Aura:Hands, Sparkle Skin, Krackle Aura: Head, Snowflake Aura and none of those have sounds.

    PLEASE...if you are going to bind sounds to an aura, please provide a way to turn that sound effects off or reduce the sound. I'd hate to have to mute the game fx sounds because of an aura I'd like to use. At the very least indicate that the Aura has a sound effect in the description so when someone buys it they aren't surprised (negatively).

    What I currently see on the PTS:

    In the Auras tab of your character screen, there's a button for an Aura vendor. The vendor has two shopping categories. The first is the "Free Legacy Aura" category and all the auras in there cost 1 "Free Aura Token". The second category is "Legacy Aura" and it lists the same legacy auras as the first, but they all cost 200k Q and all are Account Bound.

    Kallethen's feedback on Auras:

    Good:
    * Free legacy aura for each character.
    * Being able to mix and match auras.
    * Being able to set auras for in combat only or always on.
    * Being able to select color hues on each aura, and that it seems to remember them even if you unequip them.
    * Porting over all the passive auras into this.

    Bad:
    * "In Combat" auras turn off VERY quickly, like as soon as you are out of combat. I'd rather the current wait time for aura deactivation of a few seconds.
    * Unequipping Auras via "right-click" or changing builds dumps them into your regular inventory. It would be better to dump them into your Aura storage.
    * I don't care for the sound effect of the Krackle aura. I'm guessing that the intent was to hear a the crackle of power. It sounds like bubbling water instead.
    * "Sparkle Skin" looks... underwhelming. Like random patterns of white mini-polygons. I'd be much happier if it looked more like the "Sparkle Aura".

    BUG: Any of the new auras that use particle effects, and not "skin" type effects do not scale well with an Enlarger.

    Bug.

    My hideouts are gone Save for one.

    Asked me for my free hideout token and it had no menu options, only a empty window skinny bar where my hideouts are supposed to go.

    Like costume pieces and travel powers you buy with questionite, my expectation was that if you buy an aura it would be available to all characters on the account. I bought an aura with questionite and it is available only on the character that bought it.

    Is this intended, or is something not working quite right yet?

    Some are saying/complaining that the new auras can't be removed unless the inventory bag is open. I think that's intended as you do have too "equip" these things as they are a piece of gear, so they behave the same. You can't unequip gear via click and drag unless you have the inventory bag open also, so they behave the same.

    The implementation seems to be that they are technically "gear."

    Bug.

    Common PTS thing. It doesn't transfer your hideout.

    Hit Travel though, and you'll still head to a hideout tied to your account, as long as you went to a hideout with that character on Live at some point.

    Will Silver players be able to color their auras?

    Edit: Performance impact with 8 auras running and tons of people on things like... oh Mega D, Clarence, or even duels in RenCen?

    Good question on the first. No way to answer that without a dev.

    The second - auras no doubt go under one of the graphic sliders. It'll start removing them (and other effects) if things start to be too 'busy'.

    Bug: Upper right corner slot for the aura storage wants to discard more often than move to it.

    Bug: Standing around debugger has been creating the multiple lines of random colors that cover your entire screen and you can't even see issue randomly.

    Suggestion: Could the Aura Page get an "OFF/ON" button for all auras for things like CCs or when you're just sick of looking at them and don't want to bother unslotting and reslotting them please?

    BUG:
    If you equip more than one of the same Aura item, even when different colors are selected, only the first equipped one shows up.


    REPRODUCTION:
    Get multiples of the same aura. In this example, Krackle Aura. Equip the first one, color it red. Equip the second one, color it blue. This blue aura will not display, but the red continues to show. This can be repeated two more times, but regardless of how many of the same aura are equipped at once, only the first one will be visible. It is not dependant on the color used, just the order equipped.

    This either needs to be changed to display multiple auras at once of the same item type, or to disallow players from equipping more than one at a time and warning them ahead of time that purchasing multiples will not let you stack them.

    BUG:

    No, I expect it to spit out Red, Blue, and Yellow dots the same way it does if you equip a Red Krackle Chest, Blue Krackle Aura, and Yellow Krackle Head aura all at once.

    It's inconsistent behavior.

    It will defeat the purpose of customizable Aura! There is NO REASON to put the Silver Limitation on this Mechanic!

    Good thing for the game !

    After that, perhaps some am?liorations to the vehicule system ? (another pb who isn't serious with cryptic, the symbols with accent who aren't recognized and do a ?)

    Change all the bad vehicule system we have here.
    No more bad vehicules in C-store and the best vehicules (8 slots) in lock boxes ?
    More customization ?

    A real good system as http://www.swtor.com/galactic-starfighter ?
    Look at the part "customize your starfighter" and see the difference with your own vehicule system, no gambling with boxes and keys, real f2p => play and gain some ressources to buy all the customization options, more customization options than here, etc...

    And more important, NEW CONTENT (other than 5 mns alerts).
    Because farming for questionite or tokens or ressources, to have some new features as auras, it's cool, but not with the same content we have since 3 years and have already played ad nauseum.

    Auras is a great job, and thinks for that, but it's not enough for a game who is so slow to evolve and have so few playable content and things to do since 3 years.
    This kind of feature is good for the 5 Mc channels people who plays more with the tailor than with content (the only community you have now) but if you want to have more players or wants they stay more time before quitting, you will have to create more content.

    Keep the pressure.

    Wow... I am really, really, really impressed by this system its really polished (wasn't expecting this level to be honest) and adds a LOT to champions already deep customization.

    I always wanted to not have ANY aura at all, always found LR aura to be an odd ugly one... now I can finally have LR without having to bother about it!!!!!

    I really don't have anything bad to say about it =p.... besides lots and lots of requests (fire, electricity etc =p)

    Oh... I do have a problem, make it left click instead of right click when you drag an aura around from the auras tab... its counter intuitive.

    Great job Cryptic!!!! a really neat addition to the game =)

    Please add an option in options to disable Auras. people on lower end machines cant see some of the auras at all, in addition to dramatic preformance decrease, some to the point of freezing, in the presence fo only a couple people with an aura on. Think about open world events, half the populations performance will fall off the chart.

    you can disable most effects in the options menu by clicking "Show High Detail Objects" off. Auras, weapon SFX, etc.

    WHy would they be able to color auras?

    It's a new cosmetic system, and those Auras will COST Zen/Questionite AND Micro-Transactions >_>

    But they have their own inventory bag and the game isn't respecting when that one is open. You think it's intended to give them their own bag yet still require us to open another bag we might not be using that's on a completely separate part of the UI? That's...a bit clunky.

    Actually, I see alot of them as it is already! Weird!

    But yeah, as gold we are pretty much paying for the option to color our powers. To pay for an aura and not be able to color it would be a bad move.

    How about taking the aura off from Millennium Flight and give it as an Aura option instead?

    Oh an how about the aura preview?
