Well I have seen this in quite a few games and I really want this in CO too!
What I want is... a Generator Name when you create a character! Sometimes is really hard to choose a suitable name for your new fresh hero and this feature could partially solve the problem!

In other games this works because their characters are very generic and low-concept. Here, I'm not sure how they could make a name generator that could pick a name that goes with the costume you just created.

Also, there's the problem of scope... how many types of names would you want to generator to consider? In fantasy games, it's easy, you just throw in some silly sounding first and last names, have the game pick two at random, and boom your elf is called "Fiendarre Lifftolme". However here in CO, characters could be named Torque Man, or Thor, or The Wicked Beast of Elswyre... or Jeff.

I guess they could just put a system where it does the following:

    <Pick a random noun or adjective> <Your characters gender>

and then you could make a costume based on the name. Seems backwards to me, but hey everyone likes their potato baked differently.

Champions Online: Be the hero you wish you could be in a better game.

Theres always the old google for hero name generator. Or a thesaurus. Or just call your guy Jeff (or be different and use Geoff). Theres not enough Jeffs around.

Also google translate is your best friend for cool sounding names. Like hungarian!! That language gives out some epic names out of ordinary words!!

But as Smoochan said, it would be a nightmare and outright silly to add a random name generator due to the sheer number of types of heroes and anti-heroes you can create.

This game has a random costume generator, so it should have a random name generator to match. Then the truly clueless could make heroes such as. .

    The Purple Wiley Pear Badger

    or

The Dashing Daring Supreme Court Trombone

Then random the costume and, well, it won't matter, because it's not like the name would have made a lot of sense to begin with.

They could even add in all of the common variables so it could come up with a name like. .

The Mighty Mysterious Vampire Werewolf Demon-spawn

On a more serious note, this would probably be impossible to realistically implement into CO.
