Well is not new but what I want for CO forum is some way to upload images from my own PC instead of using *insert link here* feature! Well... this "insert images" feature doesn`t work for all websites and not everyone here, have accounts on imageshack.us, tinypic.com, photobucket.com and other sites like that! For example I have an account on Flick but if I want to insert an image from there I can`t because is not showing on CO forum!

There is something called 'Hosting' which is what image sites are designed to do. They enable other sites to use the image, rather then forcing websites like forums and whatnot to clutter up their system with uploaded files and pictures.

I'm guessing you mean Flickr, which also works on here, if you know how to link images right.

Yea, I meaned "hosting" feature! I`m using Flickr with my Crome browser, I know how to use the insert image feature and I`m 100% positive that it doesn`t work! For example: can you see this image? 8978235375 Because I CAN`T!
I`m sure CO forums and any other forums on Internet won`t "clutter" their system if the users can upload pictures from their PC! And if they do, can you please, be kind and explain to me how that feature can "clutter" a forum?

How you can explain the fact that I can`t see what image I have posted?

You needed to go one level deeper.

Your link here ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/52530018@N08/8978235375 ) is actually a link to the page that contains the picture. I've never used Flickr before, but in about ten seconds I figured out how to link it correctly.

Really simple, see. You follow that link, takes you to a nice little spot with it. Right click the image, it'll pop up a menu. Select the one that says 'Original' on the row of 'View all sizes'.

That'll take you to a new page, where you can then right click the image, and click 'Copy Image Location' (At least that's what it is for Firefox. IE requires you right clicking and selecting Image Properties, then copying the URL there. Don't know about Chrome, shouldn't be hard.)

THAT is the URL you want to paste. That one is the actual image link, not a link to the page with the image.

Alrighty, a little info for ya.

A website is merely a folder with a lot assortment of folders in it, categorized for different things. You got your 404 page, your root page, your folder with various resources like backgrounds and whatnot. All simple, right?

Hosting is when you open up one of those folders to the public, allowing them to take their own things and stick them in, similar to the resources folder, but put in by them instead of you. Sounds all good and dandy, right?

Well, a person working on the website tries to make sure his website will run smoothly. They minimalize resources where possible so it takes less memory and works faster. When hosting, you allow people to add things to this load, increasing the time. Now, fifteen, thirty pictures? Not a problem, a lot of forums allow attachments like that. Fifteen hundred people putting in fifty different pictures each? That's when it gets overkill.

And, fun fact, the CO forum even does hosting right now. Custom avatars? Uploaded to the server. The thing is, they are a lot easier to manage, rather then whatever a user decides to post in themselves when writing a forum post.

Thank you for your explanation but "Fifteen hundred people putting in fifty different pictures each?"??? that won`t gonna happen! And I don`t think my ideea is really that bad!

That may have been hyperbole, but it is a valid concern from the webhost's point of view. It also opens them up for people uploading tons of files as a deliberate attack, or slipping in malicious files, like viruses and spyware. There's even the possibility - no matter how slim - that a hacker could use that as an entry point to access data that they shouldn't be able to. Including account info. And since your account info here is the same as what's used to log into the game and store, it's safer to jyst deny access.

Think of it this way: If you go on vacation, you aren't going to leave the front door unlocked, just because your valuables are in a safe. If you did, people could walk in, vandalize the place, or even take the safe and open it at their leisure.

The more layers of security you have, the more secure your website is.
