Yes, you're very smart. Shut up.

If you really loved the movie, then you should seriously consider reading the book.

Do not expect the movie, because it is very different and enjoyable for many very different reasons. The book is more about William Goldman's search for a book that he says his father read to him as a child so that he could now read it to his own children and his discovery that the book his father read to him was actually some sort of history book brought over from the old country. Goldman tells us that what his father had done was make up the fairy tales using very tiny facts from the book.

Eventually, Goldman decides that he must write the book himself from his childhood memories. "His version" includes whole chapters with bios of our favorite characters.

PB is my wife's favorite movie! She cannot watch it without repeating about 90 % of the dialog, but even with that she says the book offers tons of fun stuff that you could never include in a movie. If you love PB, you should TRY and read the book.

I've said my piece... Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

That sounds awesome. I think my brother read it at some point (we might even have it here somewhere) but I'm not sure if he ever told me the differences.

My brother and I would also repeat the lines from the movie (while watching and while not) to the point where it would piss off our dad ever time we got into quoting it back and forth.
