OMG, this is indeed nice to hear.

Hottub bath fixed, I think many thought that will never come to pass.

Depleted Uranium Core fixed, I just read in another thread someone saying it will likely never be fixed.

Wow, this is a step in the right direction certainly. Efforts to fix all the existing problems before releasing new content is appreciated.

I assume this is a fix to the improper scaling theravenforce and cyrone spoke of, which implys that GC is fallowing the PFF discussion.

The "Healing increasing PFF regen" and the "PFF being affected by healing" ideas were just recently introduced. You didn't expect a full blown fix that quick did you?

Vehicles seem to be the focus now. The soonest id expect a finalized PFF fix is when telepathy returns to PTS and even that seems early.

    PVP is starving without rewards

    1. Please give us Daily PVP missions that reward Questionite.
    2. Please give us an exchange rate between Acclaim and Recognition so that PVP has access to all "On Alert" PVE rewards.

Too lazy to quote, but...Damn you for making Boost a click, did you toss a ridiculous 2 minute cooldown on it too?

And gratz to the PFF fans finally getting their fix.

Here's what I'm looking at with PFF now.

8,154 shield / 792 regen (Combined superstat total of 848)

This is much, much better. I slapped Regeneration on and capped my health return on it and then did a comparison with PFF's newly buffed regen. PFF shield regen is roughly 50% less than Regeneration health regen. Completely acceptable to me. Here's why:

792 regen when at max shields.

1,584 shield regen while blocking at max shields.

396 shield regen when at the damage threshold for regen penalty.

792 regen while blocking at the damage threshold for regen penalty.

So, as we see it, while it makes the power stronger, it doesn't really make it too strong. Which is great!

This kind of change to PFF is what I've been pushing and hoping for. Yes the power could use some interaction with heals (as is discussed in another thread) but fixing the innate characteristics of the power should come first and given this improvement to the power's regen rate, I'll give it my stamp of approval and say move on to the next power.

    Champions Online - Reloaded

Starring: Happier PFF users with increased shield regeneration!

    --

Any chance on a Dome graphic for PFF? (only activates in combat ofc) pweeesse!

I do like the cover art for the loading screen, it looks truly awesome.

That Blade AT guy on my assassin's hover bike is annoying though

    All in all awesome...now...telepathy?

EDIT: BUG: Coming out of Hoverbike modes messes with stats causing my PFF values to be screwed over. My values go from 315 to 270 END (primary SS) which as a result nerfs my PFF. I have to reslot my gear to get my real values back :(

I'm a little a concerned that the Hawkwing jet that I paid money for a few weeks ago is having its flight speed nerfed, both base and the way Boost works. Reducing travel times is really the only reason I bought it.

Cryptic, I think you need to put some thought into your policy regarding post-production nerfs to digital items that people pay cash for. When significant nerfs are necessary to items players have paid money for, a responsible business would offer the option of a return/refund. Otherwise, some may see it as a bait-and-switch scheme and be much more reluctant to buy items in the future.

This. It was the only reason I bought my jet as well was to transit across the public zones taking that away removes any reason to use the jet and now I'm not sure I want to continue giving crytpic a bunch of money to support a game I enjoy if things I buy with real money are going to be gutted.

Tell me you mean its changed to a toggle instead of a click. I really don't want to have to click and lose control of my vehicle for so many seconds at a time.

If this changed vehicles into a more uncontrollable form or nerfed its only worthwhile function than I would gladly take my refunds of all three.

Dodge works just fine for my shields. You won't see the word "Dodge" pop up with shields, only with health. It's a bit confusing at first but you'll get used to it after repeated use.

Problem was, the damage to the shields wasn't changing, which was what made me notice. On non dodge rolls, I was taking 233 shield damage, and still taking 233 shield damage when the dodge roll reduced damage to my health. I didn't even notice that it didn't say dodge for shields

You can thank the sissies for crying about the jets being faster than their 'Traditional Superheroes'. Somehow that was a factor, I heard something about a 'Superman didn't need them' comparison in a game where I've killed world-ending beings with a pair of .45's.

Obviously another good thing, ruined by the vocal children who can't let go of an era they barely remember. Them, and the 'I don't use this, it doesn't belong here' crowd that obviously wasn't broken from their sense of entitlement during their elementary school years.

The Vehicle speed reduction was a terribly unnecessary nerf, overkill, the ranges were already nerfed, infact I noticed some powers have ranges below 100 ft. This is pitiful, no one is going to buy a piece of **** that requires ridiculous farming for subpar potential (as in these vehicles are far inferior to players). I could make a Savage AT that'd outlast and out DPS a jet, its that bad.
In short there is no reason to take a vehicle ever, nor are they worth their purchases. They don't even fit many concepts as well as we'd like, Still a large group of players wait on actual motorcycles which they will sadly never recieve.

My problem with vehicles isn't so much the vehicles themselves, but the timing. If these were going to be worked on and added after a major content update on the scale of Vibora Bay or larger I wouldn't have any problems with them. As it is now, and especially since it appears vehicles are going to be in lockboxes, I just see it as yet another cash grab to keep a floundering game afloat a little while longer.

Stuff like this may work in the short term, but CO has been in desperate need of new zones and the like for a very long time.

What's this about reducing vehicle speed? What the hell?

If you were going to equalize speeds, you should boost superheroes. Add instead of subtract. Regardless, vehicles faster is far more preferable to EVERYTHING being slow. Especially with all the people who already got jets for the speed bonus. I'm in the same boat about being nervous of buying anything if this is how you treat customers. And I'm pretty sure this opinion will catch like wildfire if you do this.

Furthermore, it serves no real purpose and in fact removes a logical incentive to purchase them (i.e. the new ones).

Want to piss paying people off and make less money in the process? Then this is a brilliant path to take.

I agree with Blademaster, I am not liking the nerf to vehicles speeds.

Some heroes have access to state of the art tech which can easily surpass sub-super sonic flight, which only some heroes can achieve.

I vote a de nerf in this respect, I also hate the new BOOST mechanic, 6 secs of barely noticable speed boosting and a 30 second CD?

If the boost mechanic has to remain a click, make the boost more noticable or more generous time wise i.e. 20 second boost with 30 CD or something.

Boost and general flight speed, feels REALLY sluggish, there needs to be a balance between the flight speed before hand (too fast) and this one (painfully slow).

I'd advocate something like a base +45 flight speed? with Boost Granting an additional +20 Flight Speed.

I'm not sure what the base speed is for the hover bike (Widow Version) but mine is 4.5/10 Speed.

They dont feel faster than Jet Boots (and no Jet boots don't need a nerf) even with Boost.

So...has my telepath Mentella broken it? Or are they meant to be on PTS and just not registering?

Personal Force Field benefits from +HealStrength.. making players want to use it in Hybrid or Support (where their superstats would buff the PFF). Placing it in Tank Role is against its own synergy.

Everyone I've seen using it successfully has been in Hybrid.

The +Heal that PFF works off of is from Compassion. Presence and Hybrid +Heal don't affect it. My shields stay the same whenever I swap between tank and hybrid.

In short there is no reason to take a vehicle ever, nor are they worth their purchases. They don't even fit many concepts as well as we'd like, Still a large group of players wait on actual motorcycles which they will sadly never recieve.

    Remember.
Cryptic sees you surmized as a complainer because you can't ....

... support that vehicules have a better range than characters but those with the two powers which are at 120 ft, have a much better speed than characters WHEN you will put +speed mods in your vehicules.
(And without mods they have more speed than characters, even if they have less speed than the vehicules on the last pts build).
This isn't enough for you ? you want more ?

And for the savage AT which will out dps the vehicules when they will be modded, i laugh, and if i will be ig in a few months, i want to see that.
It was the same complaint with characters's strenght just before that "on alert" was released. "Oh my god, my characters are dead, i can't kill mobs anymore ! this nerf is baaaaaaad !"
Result ? The characters are more powerfull now than before the on alert patch.
    It's not serious. Really.
If they create mods, this is because players must use them.
And the vehicules are not uderperformed, this is the strict opposite. They always have a better speed, a better range (even if this is soften) than characters. And probably too much op when they will correctly slotted.
They are more powerfull than the old hawkwing prototype, and when i'd see what this prototype can do in the last bloodmoon event... it's funny to read this statement.

Whether or not vehicles in general should be faster than heroes is a different issue. Regardless of how you feel about that, Cryptic shouldn't offer for sale a digital item and then dramatically change its usefulness retroactively. I don't know what other industry you could get away with that without a class-action lawsuit.

How can you expect people to pay money for devices and such in the Z-store if there is a good chance it will be arbitrarily changed for the worse after you purchase it without some kind of compensation?

Hopefully we're jumping the gun and the existing jets will not be retroactively nerfed in this manner.

I would guess that this is why they were called "prototype"...

Nothing about the word prototype indicates that it will be made dramatically less useful after you purchase.

If Cryptic thought there was a good chance of that, they shouldn't in good conscience have offered them for sale.

The +Heal that PFF works off of is from Compassion. Presence and Hybrid +Heal don't affect it. My shields stay the same whenever I swap between tank and hybrid.

What about Gear (Sentinel's Brooch) do they affect it?

That sucks. Is that related to when ppl were getting 40k PFFs?

    PVP is starving without rewards

    1. Please give us Daily PVP missions that reward Questionite.
    2. Please give us an exchange rate between Acclaim and Recognition so that PVP has access to all "On Alert" PVE rewards.
