Curious as to why KotH got removed again, since the last iteration wasn't really tested all that much.
Feedback regarding that:
The post-effects were much better than the first incarnation. The fact that there's still a lockout timer is annoying at best. Still no destructibles for Telekinetics and Super Strong heroes. There should be at least 1 Titanic weight-class object to make Brou happy.
Hopefully the Targeting Enhancement Circles are being proliferated to the entire game as we speak, but just in case that's not happening yet, please support my suggestion.
Shared banks? Does this mean we can switch around bound items?
No, bound items are still bound. But you won't need to send stuff to yourself anymore through the mail. Unbound items can be accessed by all characters. It will not let you place bound items in storage.
ISSUE:(?)When logging in and (apparently) being the first to try to access a character in a less common zone, in this case Vibora Bay, it can result in the Load progress bar timing out and getting a disconnected server error message displaying what appeard to be an IP address.
This brings to mind various issues that have been prominent in the early days of this branch/trunk of patches, but since re-attempting to log in to the character can load the location successfully, and I don't know if this is a malfunction or an expected behavior of some server balancing/priority mechanism, I'm posing a question to better understand for future reporting.

Also, it's only 10 spaces.
10 slots? I assume the purchased slots are 10 too?
BUG: The Shared Bank appears to have only ten slots and doesn't allow for the transfer of these dozens of BoP Aftershock/Demonflame/etc. gear that is worthless on the toon that has it despite the fact that I earned the item. Also, still can't transfer money, apparently. I imagine this is an incomplete version of the Shared Bank as this is entirely worthless when I can just mail myself two or more mails filled with items in less time than it takes to load into my hideout multiple times to keep transferring items stored elsewhere.
Yeah, I was really hoping the hideout bank would be like a supergroup bank with purchasable tabs.
10 slots isn't enough to bother loading into the hideout. They remain a fluff addition for players who are mainly concerned with fluff (of which there are admittedly a great many).
The hideouts have such anemic functionality that I don't use mine at all, and I will not be purchasing any of the hideouts until such a time as they have sufficient functionality to at least spare me a trip to Ren Center.
while i applaud cryptic for 1- bringing more functionality to hideouts in order to increase their actual play value and, 2- attempting to give the players a feature that they have pretty much insisted on for many moons.
i have this to say.
10 is ridiculously low. as previously stated by others a simple email or two or many is MUCH more efficient at transfering items than a 10 slot shared bank. paying to expand on this number will likely get the result of a huge percentage of players ignoring this feature and simply sticking to tried and true methods already in game of item and cash transfer..... i know i probably will.
myself (and many others i am sure) were expecting AT LEAST as large as your primary backpack slot, if not larger (30-40 is probably the range we were shooting for). if it was this size and the additional slots were 1- sufficiently sized and 2- fairly cheap, then I for one would snap them up to maximum allowed size pretty quick (i have MANY toons, and an easy and abundant method of item and cash transfer is premium for me). but at 10??!? slots you wont be recieving any money from me for shared storage. i will simply (as mentioned previously) use my other methods.
i HOPE that you will reconsider the size of shared storage, and if not, then at least make the purchaseable slots cheap and plentiful.

Not being able to transfer Bound items is not a bug. AFAIK, most of the quest rewards in the entire game are BoP, but more importantly, have NO level requirement attached to them. Can you imagine the imbalance of being able to transfer level 40 quest rewards to a level 1?

Honestly, I don't know why the devs don't want us to transfer cash to our alts, and I agree with your thoughts here. The players 'in the know' either buy crafting goods (which you can sell for 100% of the purchase cost) and mail them off, or they get tossed into the moneyholder's Supergroup, at which point YOU CAN DEPOSIT CASH for them to grab.
So, yes... Why can't we toss money in there?
Finally - 10 items is pathetically low. I understand what you're trying to do here - make it some number that makes us want to purchase for real money 'expansion slots', but it's not going to work. Again, as before, it's FAR easier, cheaper, AND faster to just use a Supergroup to hold items you want to transfer back and forth. And as a bonus, it'll hold money. Or, again, just mail the items to yourself at no cost or time whatsoever.
I can where see even just 10 slots will be very convenient in the field. For example, max out your backpacks in Lemuria, and you just hit your hideout, drop 10 items in, switch to your MC bank/AH toon, grab the items and save/list them.

I'd like to have it, but honestly I do not expect it for your reason among others. However, for the rest of my "bug", I am completely serious and it really does need to change, like you and others have said many times already.
I can where see even just 10 slots will be very convenient in the field. For example, max out your backpacks in Lemuria, and you just hit your hideout, drop 10 items in, switch to your MC bank/AH toon, grab the items and save/list them.
If they give us access to the bank slots in the hideout. I could live with it.
Yes 10 slots is not much BUT that is 10 slots more than we had before and it is so more efficient than Unity Mail. We will be able to buy more, I'm holding out for details of prices and the limits to how many we can unlock.
I get what folks are saying about Bound items and not being able to hideout bank them but TBH that's the old argument against BoP rewards, not really an issue with the hideout bank and yes I'm against BoP I just see no reason for putting Bound items into a Hideout bank.
Has anyone checked these against different hideouts yet, I.E. deposit in Moonbase, collect from Mom's basement?
I suspect I'll end up getting v.lazy. Bags full in Westside - To the Hideout!
I also doubt we'll see access to our MC bank slots from the hideout.
Just join an SG. Then you have more slots to move stuff around as well as the ability to move money from toon to toon. If you're antisocial, just talk 4 people into joining long enough to make your own SG and talk one of them into inviting all your alts in.
So, ya, Cryptic, why exactly are you giving players a weak and annoying version of something that can already be done in game with tons more storage as well as cash transfer?
Not being able to transfer Bound items is not a bug. AFAIK, most of the quest rewards in the entire game are BoP, but more importantly, have NO level requirement attached to them. Can you imagine the imbalance of being able to transfer level 40 quest rewards to a level 1?
...
I'm not sure what you mean by "most of the quest rewards in the entire game", as far as them not having a level requirement, and would be a significant problem if we could trade to lower level alts...? Could you give some examples? An item that fits your description does not come to mind for me, in all honesty, and I don't know if it is a just a matter of my recollection or perhaps a misinterpretation of your statement.
...
To be clear, I do not dispute that Cryptic has no apparent intent to allow trading bound items at this time, as the message you get seems clear, I just don't see the situation ending up as you describe if even the majority of Bound items could be traded.
This is not from a perspective of a strong conviction that I should be able to swap around any and all Bound items, but from a perspective in that I currently have trouble picturing the point of the Account Bank feature in Hideouts without the ability to do so, and that there are many mission rewards that seem to lack value as vendor fodder, which they often are without the ability to do this. I don't mean to sound negative, and there are other ways this opinion on the feature could change, but it is my impression of it as currently implemented.
I do think that:
Even most Unique items aren't so prevalent or powerful that it would be a dramatic problem if they could be traded between characters after being Bound....but that if they were (which I think they would be if they could scale to level and otherwise improved, as per past suggestions), they could simply be an exception to Account-wide Bound item trading via the Hideout, which would make sense both as far as game mechanics significance and by the connotations of the naming ("Unique Bound items cannot be traded between chars" makes intuitive sense even where other Bound items being tradeable was the case).
Any other items that unintentionally introduce the issue you describe should probably be fixed as far as level requirements if they would make low level Alts more over-powered than crafting for them on an Alt and the like would do.
While a (strong, IMO) case could be made that important and significant mission rewards are better implemented as unique, character specific effects that shouldn't be tradeable between characters, rather than tradeable loot, even if only between chars on an account, I think that the actual items that deliver on this significance are rare (though memorable), and could simply be made exceptions to Bound trading via Hideouts, as under the first point.
As things stand, I think most things that end up being bound really are just generically tradeable loot, just not actually tradeable even between chars on the same account, and worse than the "loot" that is tradeable (Adventure Pack/Comic Series)...I think this is a problem, but I don't think it is the problem that is being described here as a reason to prevent some form of Bound item sharing in the Hideout Bank...?
Also, perhaps past player discussion on ideas like Account-bound versus Character-Bound items should be considered, if that is not the case already.
I hope whoever is in charge of bank slot allotment will consider the possible grotesque inefficiencies with transferring a pile of items with just 10 slots.
Sending a pile of items via e-mail functions as such:
Open e-mail at UNTIL kiosk
While you have items to send: Send an e-mail with the items to be sent. Open another e-mail, rinse and repeat.
Log out
Log in with new char
Open all those emails and accept the items one after another.
the login and out takes a fair period of time, each individual e-mail can be written fast, accepting them is increadibly fast.
Sending a pile of items via 10 slots of storage can be hideously long if you have more then 10 items to transfer, it would be like this:
Stick items in storage.
Log out
log in other character
take items
log out
log in first character
stick items in storage
log out
log in other char
take items from storage...
Those repeat relogs increase the time involved considerably. I can easily get a considerable sum of items that need to be moved about, 10 isn't going to cut it.
Yes 10 slots is not much BUT that is 10 slots more than we had before and it is so more efficient than Unity Mail.
Actually the fact that it's only 10 slots makes it less efficient than mail.
And the fact that it's 10 slots and less efficient than unity mail makes the whole bank a waste. There's still no point in loading up the hideout multiple times when you can log characters in and out in front of the mailbox multiple times much faster.
The next step will probably be for them to disable item mailing.

I'd say depends - I know I can make this more efficient for me than item mailing. I find that since the mail terminals are so near the jet it's actually easier to hop to MC anyway.
And for Monster Island or Lemuria it's going to make life a lot easier.
Gotta admit that I'm cautiously pessimistic about additional slot prices though.
Disabling item mailing will remove the easiest way of sending items to other players - I cannot imagine they would do this.

Because Quest Reward loot doesn't have a level requirement (as it's assumed you're of that level when you get it), that means that without the BoP tag, it could be traded to a level 1 character and have them equip it.
Just imagine a level 1 character with 200 Dex. Yes, diminishing returns would cap just how high your crit chance would be, but it would still be FAR beyond what the devs expected. You'd be at 40% easily.
Just imagine a level 1 character with 200 Con. Now you suddenly have 3000 more HP (assuming 1 Con=15HP) than you should have at level 1. That makes a HUGE difference at that level. Not to mention PvP.
Just imagine a level 1 character with one of those 5% chance of doing X damage items. At level 40, those are in the 1500HP range. That would totally screw up PvP at the very least.

And I realized something - the Hideout Storage seems to be designed for SILVER players, not us Golds. That's why it's so limited. It's designed around not having much storage to begin with (as you only get 1 bank slot and 1 inventory slot without paying real money), not Golds who have 4 inventory slots, 4 bank slots, and a SG on the side just for themselves.
That's why we're all upset here - we're all Golds/Lifetimers, and we were expecting tons of free inventory slots. This is designed for the Silver players.
BUG: The Shared Bank appears to have only ten slots and doesn't allow for the transfer of these dozens of BoP Aftershock/Demonflame/etc. gear that is worthless on the toon that has it despite the fact that I earned the item. It's not a bug. There is a very clear message that pops up when you try and place a bound item in there. And that makes sense. Why would you need to globally store something that is only usable by one character. Even if you could, placing it in there would not unbind it, so what would be the point. The fact that most of the gear in game is BoP is a whole other issue until itself.
About the only thing that 10 individual spaces would be useful for are those people who attempt to mail themselves items purchased in the C-Store and send them to someone else.
Personally, I was expecting the exact same thing that we get for the bank that we have now. You get the first tab free and then need to pay extra in game resources to acquire additional tabs. This is total UI functionality, there are no FX or costume designers working on this. There is no need to make a profit on this. I am utterly repulsed at the fact that we would actually need to purchase these from the C-Store. Because all that is is greed and not giving a **** about the customers who have requested this for so long and then just outright blatantly ******** on them.

Damn. You know you messed up when you ****ed Lohr off.
I would honestly like to hear some rationale behind why we only get 10 slots. Who honestly thought that when players clamored for "Account Wide Banking" that they were only requesting 10 slots? Seriously? Someone is not thinking things all the way through.
Personally I think Cryptic is just doing a swell job of compiling their new features list. It's like somewhere between the forum and the development team desk a page or two is just tossed into the shredder, so we get stuff like "PvP Targeting Enhancement Circles" and 10 slot account banks.
Just join an SG. Then you have more slots to move stuff around as well as the ability to move money from toon to toon. If you're antisocial, just talk 4 people into joining long enough to make your own SG and talk one of them into inviting all your alts in.
You can invite your alts yourself .. characters here don't have to be online to be invited
At least they added the functionality...
Now, I'll wait till actual launch on live to make comments.
But if indeed it's 10 slots, yes, crappy deal, I'll continue to mail myself.
Damn. You know you messed up when you ****ed Lohr off.

I'm getting tired of it. It's a very fine line they are walking and they are starting to teeter to the 'are you for real' side. I said last night that CO is giving me a headache, but that's mostly from me banding my head against a desk. I've played CoX for something like 5 years and I have never raged about any game more than I have raged about CO. So much potential and every month it slowly goes down the drain.
I don't know, maybe it's that I am passionate about this game and maybe it's some part of me that's the business woman, but sometimes I really just do not get the line of thinking.
Months and months and months...can we have account wide banking. Sure. BAM! 10 slots.
Yes, we have tons of other ideas for other travel powers. BAM! Heroic Flight.
Doubt it, but there's always stacks of crafting mats with 1to1 buyback price.
Yep. I have that now though, I was hoping for something a little more convenient. It looks like it'd actually be quicker to stay in Ren Center and mail myself stuff.
Yep. I have that now though, I was hoping for something a little more convenient. It looks like it'd actually be quicker to stay in Ren Center and mail myself stuff.
I do prefer Vibora Bay, it has all the advantages of Ren Cen, on a smaller surface, bank and UNTIL terminal close to the crafting shops. (And at least, I don't get random duel invites...)

I was being a bit sarcastic about that part. It's a feature that would be easily abused, but I just wanna transfer some BoP gears to characters who can use it!
But yeaaaah. C'mon Cryptic. You can weasel out of this by saying it's an early version of what'll go Live even if you intended for us to get only ten slots. We'll do the whole winkwinknudgenudge routine for you. Accidentally give us 40 slots with the ability to purchase more? Gasp! Ability to store/transfer resources? Double gasp!

You can invite your alts yourself .. characters here don't have to be online to be invited
Now, I'll wait till actual launch on live to make comments.
But if indeed it's 10 slots, yes, crappy deal, I'll continue to mail myself.
It showed the amount of money that my particular character had, but I did not see a way to transfer any of it in there.
Yeah, that's what I saw too.
*winks and nudges awkwardly*
