Ooh, a contest for me to enter!

Here's Liberty Star, patriotic archer and defender of justice :).

    Surveying the neighbourhood.

    Body shot.

Bow in hand, just about to fire.

    Swinging around Millennium City.

well I saw what you said, my mind in its evilness realized I didn't do my fun Character based on a Obscure pop-Culture reference. ...

So I bring you "Apple Pie"

Born in the Bayou raised to be a good ol'Mama's boy the young Mister Lump found he had a talent for running sadly he was not the Sharpest tool in the shed, but he was the most Honest. As he ran, and Ran he he got faster and faster, Which led to him getting a scholarship to play as a running-back at LSU (Louisiana State University) After he graduated from College he served four years in the Army Where he Earned A Congressional Medal of Honor. ... (I think you'll guess the rest of the story)

Well for something a bit different, because I think it is time to step away from characters who decorate themselves in the flag, I give you John Henry.

For those of you who don't know who John Henry is, he is a Folk Legend who won railroad driving contest against a steam engine, but died immediately after due to the strain.
But as we all know, death is rarely permanent in comic books. :p

    A closeup

    From the back
With a 100lbs hammer in his hand.

Thanks! It took me a bit to get a really good shot of the hammer, dang weapons not showing unless you are attacking something with them.

There are awesome ones throughout the thread. Eagle Prime is my personal favorite.

I also love the minute men themes. Maybe I should start getting toon inspirations from the hat options.

Hey guys, here's my contribution, Eagle Prime!

First in his tradition garb, then one for when he's feeling extra-specially patriotic. His gear is based of the Bald Eagle, that icon of American birdyness.

I kept it in case they decide to change it. Maybe Stormy will honor my commitment to give it away to the winner. It seems like such a shame to waste it right now.

Struggled with this one as many of my ideas had been done, including Liberty Eagle which was uncannily like mine.

So I submit NSAgent, as my patriotic contribution. A highly trained normal, who has access to captured alien technology and uses it to fight all extra-terrestial threats.

I don't think I've got anything to add to this contest but I did want to comment on two entries that really stood out from the rest for me personally. Great work guys - good luck.

I must say, having looked over your characters, that they are some of the best designs i've seen so far, really love what you did with Gaia, very original and creative!

    Thanks for the compliment mate.

You inspired me to try something a little different with body shapes so I figured I'd throw something in here for fun. Not too worried if this one doesn't make the deadline for the competition though. Introducing...
Granny Freedom: A retired super hero who has chosen to enter active service once again to assist the next generation of heroes.

Yes, Clarence is indeed BOP, it was a tagging error plus a bug that was causing him to be BOE, one of the flags on him that should have caused him to bind when he was received didn’t actually work for Action Figures. However, we’ve had a couple of folks now who were trying to do community/super group events with Clarence as a gift or present, so in the spirit of Winter, we’re going to change his binding specifically to be BOE again so that he can be transferred to other players. This will not change any of the other Action Figures. We likely will retag Clarence for next year’s Winter Event to be BOP at that point to have him in line with other rare Action Figures of his type.

Thank you so much Adogg, this is a real treat, first costume contest I have won in a very long time; additionally a hearty cheers to my fellow contestants, I think this contest had some of the most amusing and entertaining entrees I've seen so far!

I stopped running them (see the results from the next one).

I'm toying with the idea of releasing contests based around Nemesis henchmen types...
