It is in the Ren. Center in MC. Explore the buildings in the center a little bit.
They really need to add in a quest that sends people to the bank and auction house. It amazes me the number of times I see this question in Zone Chat when I am in MC.
Those buildings are pretty dull, so that is why I ignored them, saw no points of interest.

LOL..Im lvl 25 and I had no idea there was a bank... So true... So many things in this game that need to at least be announced or introduced somehow.. Its ridiculous.. i find everything out from the forums..
That's why WoW's crafting is awesome. The incremental improvements are primarily from drops.
Also, I've hit tier 3 crafting, and I love the ability to pick which stats to boost when I craft customizable items.
Honestly, Blizzard screwed up WoW's crafting system from day one and never did anything to make it better.
It was non-balanced and the gear sucked.
Take WoTLK and tailoring, there view on changing the way cloth dropped totally screwed over my tailor, even with the extra cloth ability I could never get enough cloth.
First off there should be no grey items and everything should be able to be used.
Second things that you make should not cost less than the materials that you used to make it. I had to spend 1g 70s to buy one thread and when after putting like 80 yards of cloth into an item it could be sold for maybe 80s.
No a crafting system needs to use anything and should not require you to grind for a week to get enough materials to make one item.
Blizzard Crafting system was about keeping you playing so that they get their $15 every month from you.
There is a reason why most players just sold the materials since they could get more money for them then making stuff. That is a sign of a very poor crafting system and that is what WoW has.
Even better just have Renaissance Center Tour Guides that have a list of places of interest that they can tell you about and point you in the direction of.
You can place one right next to the helipad and give them a unique marker on the map and over their head like a purple question mark or something.
I'd prefer a quest simply because it can achieve two things at the same time: provide another mission and show off the centre.
The only thing going against it might be if they want the Centre to be an oasis of peace. Perhaps you can have both if the quest kicks off an instanced mission.

Ah, yes, but the quest could be the tour guide. You would follow them around Ren Center as they point out points of interest. Additionally, there would always be one at the starting point (the mission would spawn a duplicate that would walk around) so they can give you a waypoint in case you forget where something is.
Already have mats from leveling without having to compete with farmers for nodes, click, item get.. replace every gear slot with superior-than-dropped gear (even purple) and make stupidly powerful consumables that only your profession can make.
Am I missing something? My main has just hit 300 crafting in Science. I have found only 1 item he can make that is better than the dropped whites/greens that he has (and it's a custom built rare/blue).
I wish the crafting wasn't so expensive. I'm lvl 28 and have less than 2 G, due to crafting - costs of recipes, lost income due to all non-bound items being disassembled. My only income is selling the non-science bound items and mission rewards.
Absolutely. It'll take crafting materials directly from the bank, so there's no reason to carry them around with you. That alone makes it one of the best crafting systems I've encountered so far.
Wow - they need to mention thios somewhre. My personal bags are full of crafting mats. If I can leave them in the bank and still have access to them at the tables, cool. Do you know if it also accesses Guild Bank items?

That's just plain genius. And really, how hard would that be to implement? I knew there was a bank and an auction house somewhere in the game world but I never noticed anything pointing to those locations.
If you're talking about crafting systems, it's pretty much like this...
Ultima Online.
Then everybody else.
More people gotta try Vanguard lol.
Now theres a crafting system created by people who actually care. Though it was incredibly hard at points.
Crafting in this game sucks. Very much. Having the ability to get what you want where you want is appealing (tier 3), but still the act of crafting and everything associated with it is incredibly lame.

Nope. And that's a good thing.
Seconded, for serious. The crafting system in UO was the best one I've ever seen in any game.
