A few things to bring back players

After being away from the game for a while i have noticed the player base has dropped and the mechanics are fine but the base isn't. Would it at all be possible to change a few things?

Rampages are awesome, if you get anyone to queue up for them. Gravatar and Lemurian seem to be the best out of the four because they are better suited to the base, but nobody queues Fire and Ice or The carrier defense. I am a lifer, I would like to be able to get things in game before i am unable to click a mouse. I understand the mechanics are great for the two, but nobody in game anymore with the exception of maybe 10 people at any time can run them, and those 10 people are always private queued. You don't have to do much but nerfing them down to bring interest back would help to stop discouraging new players.

The Quilothic warzone is amazing! don't touch it. But adding more purple maps in the future will kill this game, we need new content to play. A few really good comic adventures or map expansions.

Start bringing people back to the game instead of scaring them off. Everytime you take a big step forward you always fall 3 steps back.

The Onslaught system is great but, how about a Nemisis Token so we can play as our Nemisis, basic archtype powers are already chosen, and a special add to summon adds. This would really raise popularity with role players and heroic perk chasers.

The lockboxes are fine and drop rates are what they are, but these are content and mechanics that are not hard to pull off, just tweaks to what is already here and not being utilized for what they are. Let's get cracking Cryptic!

    Nerf rampages!

Unlikely since they're linked to Justice Gear. Also nerfing them wouldn't do anything because they're already pretty easy. It's not the difficulty of rampages that make them unpopular. Hell you could already 5 man them. I'd be fine with it if they lowered the required number of people to pop an instance to 5.

    No more purplemaps!

QWZ being purple and dark isn't the reason it's not seeing heavy use. The reason is that there are many many sources of SCR. The whole "no more purple maps" suggestion is kind of silly since they'd obviously use a different location if they made another new zone. Not like the game is full of purple zones or anything.

    Onslaught Nemesis!

Would you be okay with your nemesis having to use gravitar, medusa or grond's powers? That's probably the best we could hope for, and even that's riding on slim to none.

There's already a lot of reskinned powers in this game attached to things like devices, and since the onslaught power damage values appear to be more fixed values with no need to take stat scaling into account (OV stats are all 5s) I suspect making reskins of powers we already have for Nemesis OVs isn't the hard part. The "hard" part would be adding any special mechanics (gravitar's gravity well ramp-up, grond's rage, medusa's stun stacking, etc) to unlock stronger powers.

Still, the main reason I don't think we'll be seeing any new OV stuff (nemesis or otherwise) is because the system is largely a failure.
(Hopefully) Useful CO Resources: HeroCreator (character planner), Cosmic Timers/Alert Checklist, Blood Moon Map, Anniversary Cat Map, and more (eventually, anyway).

But the system isn't really a failure it has just been utilized wrong, the mistake made is how they utilize great ideas. If proprely done we would actually be able to play as our own villains for a change. And open up a whole new mechanic utilizing an existing system.

Has nothing to do with hard, it has to do with it not being worth the time it would take. People want to fight their nemesis, not stand in rencen as their nemesis and let people dps them.

It is a failure in regards to what it was originally intended to be. It works as a daily quest, but it was a failure as open world pvp. If you want to play as your nemesis, forget the OV system. There are other much more viable avenues to explore for that.

Now, a system that spawns your Nem in Ren Cen could be neat. It wouldn't transform you, just summon a boss.

Sadly, given that nemesis content hasn't been updated since 2010, calling a nemesis a 'boss' is a big stretch...
