The weird thing about CO is we players tend to talk about powers only in terms of solo play. A regen tank on a team with strong support is virtually unkillable for most of the game's pve encounters. Sure, everyone solos most of this game, which means really strong support players are rare. But the devs still have to balance powers in relation to one another.
I've been getting my tokens in my bags from the start. I have to actually click on them to get any stored. I have over 100 alts as well because I'm an Altaholic. No, I haven't created characters just to get the tokens. It's no great problem.
It punishes the players that used their tokens, but have not used them, even though they didn't use the exploit. That's the problem with how they did this.
tbf, I'm not sure there will ever be a time where the other passives are balanced w/ Defiance when it comes to big hits, but still not unbalanced everywhere else.
Wasn't addressing whether or not they should be. Just confirming that this change will not mean they are.
I think it's sort of a problem of glory. Regen's better than Defiance in most tanking situations, very few bosses have the sustained or spike damage to make Defiance better and an awful lot of bosses can be tanked unsupported with Regen, but the highest profile tanking in the game is Cosmic bosses, and Defiance is better there, so Regen feels underpowered.

That wouldn't work, as that wouldn't change the end game, where regen is not a good tanking passive, except for maybe offtanking, but not for main tanking. And concidering the fact that regen and defiant are both already basically on par for most other content, buffing enemies from non-cosmic content wouldn't doa thing to fix the issues. And if for some reason you are struggling with either passive in any content outside of cosmics, than, sorry to say this, you are doing it wrong. Not saying that all other content should be buffed to provide more of a challenge, cause they could (but knowing how things are typically done, they'll just buff hp pools and damage output, which wouldn't make the game fun again, large hp pools and one shot mechanics are not fun), just saying, that even if they buffed all other enemies, regen would still not be a good choice for main tanking cosmics, where the end-game basically is. Unless of course, that wink means you were joking...and thus already know that.

What I'm trying to say is that you can easily be unkillable in over 90% of content even without regen. Years ago I even had a PFF tank alt who was unkillable in pve until end game content became a thing. Buffing regen isn't going to trivialize anything that you couldn't already trivialize with any other defensive passive.

Well, I have a Regen tank (Tanya Wilson), and she's been almost god-like in the Blood Moon stuff. She killed it last year when she was around 30...
Alert bosses? I can tank those without blocking.
I've successfully tanked everything short of the big 4 Cosmics. Event Cosmics I can handle.

Yeah, but, once you start doing cosmics, you'll notice that you will not fair as well.

Not saying you can't tank them, just saying its not as good as defience or even invuln. Which, if you read the entire thread, you'd notice others saying the same thing. You're ability to be a main tank with regen is no where near as effective as those two passives. Plus, I am talking about the cosmics. Sure, its not impossible, but, its difficult.
