So whenever I give my dog a bone, if there is a piece of my clothing somewhere on the floor anywhere in the house she takes the bone there and then eats it on top of that piece of clothing. So then later I have all sort of little bone fragments in that piece of clothing. Why puppy does this??

Yes, two of them. One on top of a couch. When I give her a bone while she's in either doggy bed she leaves the bed to go find a spot to munch the bone.

Is it just with bones/treats? Or does the dog do this when they eat their regular food too?

Seriously, the only reasoning I can think of is perhaps the dog likes to enjoy the treats close to your scent, and that's why they eat them on top of you clothes. It's just a hunch though.

Hm, maybe that's it. They don't do that with their regular food, but we have special eating time together in the kitchen with the other dog so she wouldn't abandon the bowl since she knows it goes back on the counter if she does that ( so the chubby golden retriever won't eat it n_n ).

She's actually obsessed with fetching a ball and gets several sessions of running back and forth across my yard every day. The vet diagnosed her with Cushing's disease, which apparently makes puppy have trouble losing weight. It's amazing seeing a chubby dog sprint at top speed like that... amazing animals n_n

My parents' dog thinks I'm a petting machine. However, she will walk away from me if I hand her a bone or a treat. I've noticed that she always lies somewhere on the grass to eat it, though she has a dug-out spot just around the side of the house. She won't eat it on the carport cement, either; it has to be on the grass.

It's possible that dogs seek a "soft spot" by nature, maybe so they don't get dirt on their treat. Maybe your clothes are a substitute for a grass patch.

In that case, your dog is being helpful because it knows cleaning your shirt is less effort than getting crumbs out of carpet.

Yeah the only "evidence" for the existence of extraterrestrial life is the Drake Equation... which has several variables that are unknown and unknowable. Example: what percentage of worlds that have life evolve sentient life? We have ONE example!

The idea of the equation is nice and all but solving it requires enough information that once we collected the information required to solve it we wouldn't NEED to solve it.
