Though some might complain, this move actually helps boosts the AH value of these items--a good move.

so was "A mysterious vendor has appeared somewhere in the game who will take certain seemingly useless items and exchange them for something neat." this supposed to be PTS only or what's going on with that one?

Prices in the recog vendors should be going down not up. The game doesn't need to be made grindier.

For those wondering, the Fun Nullifier can be bought from the Bartenders in Caprice for 5Gs. It's bind on pickup, and give you a "Fun Nullifier" buff/debuff. Whatever you wanna call it

Wow, a completely unnecessary change, why do devs waste their time with this stuff? Who cares?

YES! Been waiting for this change since forever, so glad it's finally here. Kudos to Kaiserin and the others for making it happen!

I strongly disagree the increasing of the prices of costume parts , costume creation is one of the joys of the game to create a unique hero available to all , this is locking yet more content away behind grind , and feels like slap in the face to your players , I feel the next inevitable nail in the coffin will be bind to character costume pieces

Why on earth do you keep adding left handed back pieces when we are forced into right handed attack styles?

I feel like i again need to point out that the math on the ZEN Store Sale is wrong.

"Beginning today until Thursday, March 30th, 2016, take 25% off all service in the C-Store, including Full Retcon Tokens, Character, Costume Slots, and so much more!"

you have a 20% off sale not a 25% off sale. Please have someone proof reading the news posts.

    GCR/SCR Store
All of the New Shadows Costumes are missing. It has been this way for a while, but since this patch revised the VB costume drops, they should be included in the future.

Is there an ETA on when the female earless head is going to be fixed, since it has those weirdly mapped light spots by the lips that make it kinda unuseable.

Well, I got years of fun out of the fun devices, so it doesn't bother me that I no longer have any motivation to do events to get any future fun devices that are released ^___^

Were you only using fun devices on people who didn't want you using fun devices on them?

It's good to have the option, just as it's good to be able to whitelist duels and put people on ignore. Other games have it.

Player option. Being able to tell people "no", such a good thing. Thanks Kais.

Fun Nullifier Device should lock out the use of all devices while equiped... or at least the ones it blocks from being used.

  • denzaiverdenzaiver Posts: 1 Arc User
Little thing with the Fun Nullifier Device, that being that certain devices with AoE effects like the fun cannon can still affect you to some extent if someone near you is targeted who doesn't have the Nullifier on with the device. You won't say get the tie, hat, or sparkles, but you'll stick get knocked on your behind.

The new Fun Nullifier Device can still be affected by certain things such as what denzaiver said, the Fun Cannon's line of fire cylinder. You can be hit by the Party Bomb's aoe blast radius. You'll be affected by twitching, though it won't cause you to dance.
The Bag of Confiscated Contraband (the glass bottles you throw at players for 0 damage and briefly stun) can still be used on them.
Knock-off Water Balloons from the Crate of Water Balloons.
And finally the limited versions of the Family-Sized Water Balloon and Super Snowball devices are all still usable against the Nullifier.

In addition to the glitch on that head, all human heads have spots on the lips that are a result of incomplete coverage on the tone layer. When making a character with skin darker than your average caucasian you get really patchy lips (the darker the skin, the worse the effect) unless you crank the lipstick up to neon levels of brightness, which looks awful.

Oh the whining from the trolls.
whats trolling about that suggestion? You think you should be able to use a "fun" device on someone while not being able to be affected by one yourself?

If you find it annoying for a device to be used on you, and you use it on other people, you are quite clearly a troll.

Bug - both Irwins in RenCen are still wearing the tan PRIMUS uniform and a not blue UNTIL one. (Or, an easy fix is to simply re-label Irwin as a PRIMUS liaison - which would make sense as he would be a liaison for overseas activities)

Along with the odd bright spots near the lips, there's also weird shading near the nostrils/upper lip of the female earless head.
  • xel#8768 xel Posts: 47 Arc User
Illumination's Brilliance advantage is currently only being applied to the caster, even when not targeting oneself.
    "Xel" no longer exists...

I'm happy to have the Fun Nullifier. A little disappointed that it doesn't block ALL the troll devices though. Please correct this or at least rename the Nullifier to a Dampener, since you know, it doesn't really NULLIFY the devices, it reduces the number of those that can be used against you. That way other people who don't know the details won't have their illusions of complete peace completely dashed when these work arounds are used.

Please show me where I said I wanted to do that. :smirk:
You objected to the suggestion of 'lock out devices that it prevents from being used'. The only reason to object to that idea is if you want to be able to use the device but are unwilling to let it be used on you.

Now, it could be that you were only objecting to 'lock out all devices', but if so you should have been clear...

I put on a nullifier and blast you with a cowboy ray. You try to blast me back and nothing happens... Yeah. That's it. Does this sound like a scenario that is worth more than one sentence said only one time? No. No, it's not.

I'm pretty sure they just mean all the fun devices. I don't think anyone has said they want to make it lock out ALL devices. That would be silly.

People were whining that it should lock out all devices. Would you like it if a fun nullifier made your necrullitic elixir or eruption unusable?

No, that would be dumb (I admit beezeeze did offer that as a proposal, but he also proposed only devices that the fun nullifier blocks).
  • qawsadaqawsada Posts: 746 Arc User
I find it weird and fascinating that some of you guys aren't are happy with the No Fun Allowed device considering that it does exactly what it does. You would most likely not have those fun device with the No Fun Allowed device and those players are free to get the No Fun Allowed device from the bartender. You guys are over complicating this.

The various fun devices are still worth getting. Remember, the fun nullifier has to be equipped to function, there will still be more people without it than with it. Only the most hardcore grumps will dedicate a device slot to it, or have the discipline to swap it in every time they visit millennium city.
(Hopefully) Useful CO Resources: HeroCreator (character planner), Cosmic Timers/Alert Checklist, Blood Moon Map, Anniversary Cat Map, and more (eventually, anyway).
  • draogndraogn Posts: 1,269 Arc User
Fun is subjective, just because someone has a different idea of what is or isn't fun doesn't make them a grump.
