Or I can expect the devs to put some minimal effort support into promoting their game when people aren't playing by actually updating their media section. My point in being a waste of time since the image is only available for a few months is still valid.
Oh Foxi you know me, I like to complain about the stuff I Love
I know. But remember that at the time that 2GM was turned into an AOE we were very limited on 2GM powers, and a dual pistols build had very limited options for aoe, i.e. Lead Tempest. If you wanted mobile aoe, there wasn't really anything. So making 2GM aoe filled that niche. Now that we got that fancy new dual pistols aoe, 2GM was put back into the "single target" category since it no longer had to pull double duty. Given that it can't really be said that it was a bad decision - it was a good idea hampered by a lack of resources, and it did what it set out to do.

Hmm, I honestly never thought of that
with that explanation it makes sense
Why you do those ridiculous things? It's disgusting like hell.
Oh I see you've already moved on to overreacting about something else o3o
Yeah, Quoting Vinny from Vinesauce
because the removal of Bullet Ballarina on Ice for Specialist and the uselessness of it for Gunslighter is big BS
There are a lot of this I like and dislike for this patch
POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!
On the one hand, the game itself has gotten worse.
On the other hand, I now have one of the strongest characters in the game that isn't exploiting a gamebreaker.
So, good for me, bad for most other people.
I'll reserve judgement on the event until I've tried it. Hopefully it'll be fun.
Your view about freeforms being "exploiting" and "gamebreaking" really is quite disturbing given the fact that freeforms are how CO was long before ATs were even thought of. And "One of the strongest characters in the game" such ego, until "who isnt exploiting a gamebreaker" such salt at the fact that some people can actually build.
The game has been class-based for far longer than it was FF-only. There's no denying that the content is designed with both ATs and FFs in mind.
I think you're reading more into this than is there. If you disagree with my analysis of the situation, that's fine. What constitutes a game breaker depends on how one defines it. If one defines it in terms of power relative to the game's content, then I'm guilty as well (some ATs are significantly stronger than the game is designed to handle). I happen to define it in class-based terms, which is why I don't personally feel okay with playing a FF right now.
But that's just me. Keep playing the way you want.
Patch notes left out some of the Gatling Gun changes, notably that its activation time was reduced to 0.5 seconds from 0.85 seconds and that its energy cost was greatly increased.
I am confused as to why Lead Tempest and Mini Mines were not given Challenge! advantages as a choice. There is a vast variety of powers that can apply Challenge!, but these two are not given the choice. I'd want to know the reasoning behind this simply so that I could begin to understand the decision.
Fix to Concentration bug is a good thing, but Chilled Form, an almost identical form power that works in the same way, did not have its bug addressed and continues to ignore the 4 second internal cooldown between stacks. Being so similar, it would make sense that they would change Chilled Form as well.
Even with this patch being a whole revamp of Munitions, Rocket was not changed in any way. Does this mean Rocket is believed to be a power that has enough effectivity or purpose in gameplay as is by whomever makes balance decisions and will not see further changes? What is the reasoning behind keeping Rocket as is? It is a questionable decision because all Munitions powers were looked at, but nothing was seen in Rocket, a power considered to be weak and lacking in use by many players, that could be added to or altered. Munitions is unlikely to be looked at again for a while so all its powers should be of good worth to players for that period.
Event is enjoyable and fun and even has a wide variety of cool stuff that people could get. It would be a good standard to look at for future event development. The actual mission could use a few changes to make the tower buffs be more punishing if ignored. I've got suggestions, but that is another topic of its own.

I would like to know the reasoning too, consding Lead Tempest HAD agro adv before the challenge change, why it doesn't have now? why other PbAoEs have Challenge! but this doesn't?

FFS, is a 1500Z sidekick that I won't use the only way to unlock the Tech Belt?
Welcome to the club, i'm STILL trying to find someone to sell me Harajuko twin's Waist Bag costume unlock, but it seems I will be forced to buy it by myself from zen store

I guess this also effects the Travel power colours now, and now all TPs used by Unleashed are coloured Cyan

Champions Online is crashing about once an hour since the event went live. Furthermore, often, the Cryptic Error Handler stops responding in the background while consuming massive resources, forcing me to kill the process.
My roommate is having the same issues. We are both running game rigs.
This is especially sad because CO had been the most stable it has been in the weeks leading up to the Event.
Lead Tempest will not receive Challenge due to its incredibly high area effect.
Most 'Pet' powers will not receive Challenge due to how they're set up.
Any powers not reviewed in Munitions was due to time constraints.
Flashfire Pit advantages were intentionally cut from Rocket and Incendiary Grenade as they were not functioning properly.
There are no plans for single pistol powers due to time constraints/animation problems.
Ugh, I wish "time constraints" was not trotted out as a reason. Time could be made for such changes, but it would take time away from other projects that devs want/need to pursue. Just be a little more straight with the players about such things.

Does Shockwave still have Challenge? If so, might want to fix that considering Shockwave has amazing AoE. You can easily hit several mob groups with that AND it doesn't have a chance to miss. I mean, it's not like powers have target caps or anything.
I take this quote from a review that I agree with.
"customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."
The only real difference between Lead Tempest and Shockwave is that Shockwave requires one more brain cell to position in a line for hitting several mobs. And that line can be pretty terrible because of how wide-**** cones work.

When fighting mobs that have surrounded you, it plays out very differently. This is especially true for offtanks in the beginning of some battle, when the mobs are scattered.
If you aren't playing offtank, challenge on a big AoE isn't super useful, though I know that some folks like spamming Lead Tempest for entire fights, even while trying to be main tank.
Unless it's changes, if you right click to unlock an AF you already have, nothing happens and it won't bind to you.
Mob AI in CO is basic and kinda bad. They don't surround you and have a greater tenancy to walk back, away from the target with aggro. A 50ft 90d cone is massive. It can easily hit everything, including those asshats that walk away from you.
There are powers like Flamethrower that are also 50ft, don't miss, and allow you to move while maintaining. Or what about Minigun that allows movement, hits more often per second, and is a whopping 100ft? Epidemic is only 25ft, but does that really matter when you can move and have acro? Spinning around to hit all the thing isn't exactly a complex tactic. Maybe it requires two additional brain cells.
Every attack still has a target cap. The most you're going to hit with Lead Tempest is the same 5 or 10 every other power has or less since LT can miss.

That's a shame because this was literally the only reason to own a vehicle, you know, since our WINGS DON'T FLAP in regular flight. Like we're all gliding all over the place? How about fixing that?
