Character says Special instead of gold when selecting my characters?

Not sure if this is the place to put this thread but for when you select which character you already made after logging in one of them say special instead of gold. I also can't copy this character to the test server. I can log into him and play him fine but I would like to send him to the test server and I'd hate to have to remake him again as he is lvl 30, all of my other characters work fine and I'm a lifetime subscriber. Has anyone else had this problem?

    No clue. Is it that free freeform slot they gave us last year? I can't imagine that would make a difference, but I'm having a hard time coming up with anything that would make a slot "special"

    "Special" is the designation given to freeform slot characters.​​
    (Hopefully) Useful CO Resources: HeroCreator (character planner), Cosmic Timers/Alert Checklist, Blood Moon Map, Anniversary Cat Map, and more (eventually, anyway).

    Ha! So my wild guess based on nothing was right? Score. :p

    But...we can't send freeform slots to Test? Or is that a glitch of a different kind?

    I just tried it and sent (another) copy of my main (FF slot) to PTS without any error messages on the copy page. PTS is patching right now, so I won't know if it truly worked until it's done though.​​

    The free freeform slot or you bought a freeform slot before becoming gold. No matter your account status its always special so if your a subber and not a LTS you dont need to convert them to silver.

    I've been a lifetime sub since the game launched. It may very well have been a free freeform slot they had given us at one time.
    Still doesn't even show on copy to test server page, so guess I'm outta luck. At least all my other characters work.

    You should try making a ticket to get it resolved. The results from my test yesterday (I forgot to follow up, oops!) are that it not only showed up on the list and copied successfully, but was playable on PTS without a hitch. It even copied over as a FF slot.​

    I'm also LTS, so if it works for me, in theory it should work for you as well. Something is clearly amiss.​​

    Excellent detective work! I would have been a little shocked if they had that kind of restriction on that slot, it wouldn't make any sense.

    Well seems Cryptic didnt test these things on a LTS account. This seems like a bug to me.

    Just to cover all our bases, is the name just not appearing for you on the character copy? Could it be you reached the drop down list limit and need to hit "tab" to traverse the list to get to them?

    if its listed as special instead of gold or silver, its probably a free FF slot, from a promotion​​

    Yep that was it, I tabbed all the way down and there it was, first time I ever hit a drop down list limit, guess you learn something new every day.
