    And not in the way most people would think. Came to the conclusion you should not ERP in CO as its basically a child friendly MMO. About 6 months ago when my nephew ( A really innocent sheltered 12 year old ) who I was playing the game with informed me that a girl wanted to ERP with him and he asked if ERP was some sort of raid I kinda was horrified ( and BTW he was not in the Club this was Ren Cen). And it takes a lot to shock me as anyone thats seen my NSFW DA and FA pages can verify :P

    And I have had another horrifying revelation that multiple people I KNOW have been ERPing while standing next to my Nephew (some of you know who my Nephew is some don't). I am sorry I dont care if its private PMs you still Sexting while standing next to children. Some of them are hypocrites that said outrageous stuff because some of my buddies like anime cat girls ( only person they a threat to is Tara Strong and shes like 40 ).

    So yeah ever since then I have been wanting to build a wall around Club C and make the ERPers pay for it u3u

    If you want to ERP go to Second Life its what that is for and as far as CO ERPers go......




    *edit* And BTW I am a roleplayer (check my primus page) so don't take this as cue to attack roleplayers.

    'E' is the rating for child friendly. 'T' is for dismemberment, sex, drug use, and limited naughty words. CO is rated Teen. Except the online interaction which is unrated. People on the Internet are nasty.

    If Cryptic hasn't been assed to crack down on anyone in all of this time, they aren't likely ever going to.

    Allow kids you want to remain sheltered near MMOs at your/their peril. Hell, many MMOs specifically say "13 and up" in the terms of service.​​

    "ESRB rating subject to change during online interactions."

    It's not said just to sound fancy, it's a reality. Now, if you're going to allow your 12-year old brother, sister, nephew etc to play an online T-rated game, then that 12-year old needs to be educated on how to respond to online predators and whatever else unsavory that can be found on the internet. That 12-year old needs to know the importance of online privacy and not disclose personal information, because kids are very impressionable, have very little life experience and the potential to do careless, stupid things scores pretty high with kids. If that's done, great, and the chat log should be sent to support.

    Now what shouldn't be done, is to go on a wide-scale witch-hunt, ask the mods to go after a cluster of players with no proven association with the isolated incident with said 12-year old, and request for a mass-ban scorched-earth style, or take up a holier-than-thou attitude towards said players and tell them to go play another game. Because that's not rationale. That's just knee-jerk.

    When people such as a certain nine tail fox that tries to erp in Comsic HQ damn right I will go on a witch hunt. I get some of you like erp but take it to Second Life where they manage this stuff correctly (thats what I do). A teenager is a child. So a teens game is a child's game. There is no if butts or maybe. Its in simple black and white.

    So no I aint going holier than thou I erp I just dont erp in a kids game. Show some self control guys.

    Yeah sure, "kids game". People can claim Overwatch is a kid's game too, or kid-friendly even, and it's hard to argue against it being kid friendly at face value, but when a kid googles "Tracer" or "Widowmaker", lewd sexualized pictures of them come up within the first two results windows, or how about the sort of nasty things players say to each other when they get all salty and frustrated when losing? In fact that happens in about any online multiplayer game you can find.

    I mean what do you want to do? Go into the club and scream "pedophiles!" at everyone in zone chat? Sure, you'll rile people up, but you're not going to get anyone banned or to leave the game entirely.

    Letting kids on the internet without being monitored 24/7 comes with certain risks and a responsibility to them to ensure they're prepared to deal with the internet if given the freedom to use it. If they're going to be sheltered and any unsavory content they come across is dealt with in an explosive, non-constructive manner then might as well cut off their internet access and ask them to go read a book or something.

    You want know why I am so against erp in this game these days why I frown at some of you then fine here we go. A certain white Nine tail Fox was the one that made a pass at my nephew and in the same day was going on about c*** and d**** and futa in local IN REN CEN! while Navi was in the same instance of Ren Cen.

    You all know who I am talking about but this forum rules stops me from straight out calling "her" out. You guys want me to chill about erp then report that fool the moment she does something atrocious.

    True, although companies also include it in their terms of service just to make sure people are aware of it. The bottom line is that people shouldn't be letting their kids play online games like this. Or even use the internet unsupervised.

    I would be fine if all you ERPers with your shimmery rainbow forum avatars got banned. I can't go into Club Caprice for five minutes to take a screen shot without getting grossed out because of you people.

    Just proving a point by turning the mirror on Spinny, and I'd say your response did just that. Whether your character outfits show skin or if you play child characters as an adult, neither means the person playing them is an ERPer.

    Let's address objectively what's really ban-worthy with the guidance of ToS and what qualifies for a support ticket instead of resorting to emotional overreacting:

    - Making a costume with the intention of making your character look naked.

    - Creating a character bio that is equivalent to a short erotic story.

    - Creating a character bio that is explicitly asking for a ban, with something like "Mein fuhrer!" or "John Doe likes little girls, they make him feel so good."

    - Using a character name that is explicitly asking for a ban, like "53X-Predator".

    - Someone going around making it plain and obvious that they're a predator.

    - Creating a costume with the sole intention of harassing people by blocking their screen, power animations may apply.

    - Creating a costume with references to political figures, especially the more heinous ones of past and present.

    - Creating a costume representing well-known religious figures.

    - Making porn-worthy emotes publicly in open chat for everyone to see. It doesn't matter if its a kid, teen, or adult seeing it, that's just asking for trouble.

    Now what you don't ask to be banned:

    - Characters with costumes that are simply revealing, show skin and not naked, simply using available ingame costume assets, and just because you personally think they're pornstars or prostitutes (in other words, stop being a judgemental twat).

    - Characters with costumes that people personally find insulting and trigger their fragile sensibilities in general.

    - Just due to the fact that players with the above-mentioned costumes walk past you with no intention to harass you, when you're trying to take a screenshot (Get over yourself, you ****ing special snowflake).

    - Your personal assumption that every single person in a certain social instance is an ERP'er or a pedophile.

    Stop overreacting. Stop using emotional bias to rationalize things. Stop asking for your petty little ban crusade. Work on your tolerance and grow a thicker skin. Also stop letting your 12 year olds play CO unsupervised if you're not prepared to deal with the potential problems that come with it.

    And no, nothing to do with being either a furry or transexual. In fact, if you feel validation in announcing that you're all of these things and expect acceptance for being such (I clearly accept) then you're standing on very shaky ground by criticizing certain crowds that has association to some deviancy.
