I heard something about them discontinuing the Lockbox Series rewards. Honestly, I like that idea. It gives them more time to focus on other tasks that are more important as far as the actual gameplay goes. Besides, we still have our Gold Bonus Costume Quartermaster Vendor Guy. Not to mention, I hate when things are locked away behind a money-grab gambling method, even if it's a guaranteed reward for opening a certain amount and type of lockbox.
Well, if we want developers to spend time on stuff that's more important, the gold costume bits should go first as they take far more time to develop than a lockbox series reward once every 6 months. Random, one-off costume bits aren't important as far as the actual gameplay goes, so might as well dump the largest offender of it.
Guys, just do more Onslaught Targets. They give out villain tokens just like heroes do. Make sure you get enough, then go screw around with all them supertank dorks. Do fart emotes on them or something.
With the damage output of the Onslaught Targets, I'm not sure I could get 50 points before being brought down to zero HP.

Sure, devalue subscription value further...
It doesn't. And my point went over your head. Shame.
Gold subs haven't lost any value ever. You get endless free FF slots. Those are $25 / $50 each for silver players. Gold member actually get rewarded for spending money and silver players don't. Do silver players get Vet rewards for spending money? Hell no. Do they get $5 back for every $15 they spend. Nope. Do silver players get free costume bit when they spend money in a particular month? Absolutely not. Where you get this nonsense about subs being devalued is beyond me.

What type of content do you expect to be made available by not doing a single costume piece every month?

I deliberately worded my original post to mirror that of Deadman's. I am mocking him because he's saying to remove the lockbox bonus that comes out once every 6 months by pointing out that the gold monthly bit is also a one off piece but comes out far more frequently. If lockbox bonuses such a burden to devs making new stuff then gold bits are far worse. Do you guys get my point now? *sigh*
Cryptic Engine is equiped to only run one feature at a time.
Or someone noticed, that they are giving away too much free stuff.
But i wont draw any conclusions until official word of an announcement.
