How do I copy a character to Preview with this new forum layout?

the link is still in the same place, it's just that until they update the link colors with something more... distinguishable... it'll be hard to find if you don't know where to look.

Fail. According to PWE's Arcgames FAQ:

It is because they are transitioning the old site now to arcgames. All they need to do is make the new pages for the things needed.

Huh ...

I didn't see that yesterday, and was able to copy my character over. Hope they set this new stuff up quickly, and do it all at once instead of in parts.

The why is fairly obvious. The fact that the FAQ statements were never tested to be functional in live environment shows how QA = quite awful. The goal is clear, the execution is terrible.

People started posted about it after PWE/Cryptic employees would have gone home and they wouldn't be in the office yet.

...and the FAQ says they weren't going to touch that page yet -- so unless many people have bugreported it, it's likely to stay down for at least a patch cycle or fifty.

The old news page was still working at that time as well, so basically the redirect hadn't yet been set up on the old domain and all the pages worked, including the crucial preview copy page.

Now that the redirect is in place, we've got some issues. Eldarth's list also mentions the key redeem page. Presumably the giveaway keys that are not through ARC won't work with the ARC key redeem page at the moment, so that'll also need a look, likewise anything else that was supposed to stay up for now.

i get some stupid arc notice and redirected to arc page. how do i copy toons to test server now?

Workaround: In Firefox or Chrome, stop the redirecting process by pressing "ESC"

Then bring up the console (CRTL+SHIFT+J in Chrome or CRTL+SHIFT+K in Firefox) and enter

document.getElementById('redirect-lb-backdrop').parentNode.removeChild(document.getElementById('redirect-lb-backdrop'));

The ARC overlay will disappear.

Edit: Dunno why, but the forum inserts a space within the second "getElementById". You have to delete it manually.

Ok as the title states i don't know how to add any chars to the preview shard anymore since the site change.
I personally do not like the sit change i rather dislike it. i knew how to easily add my chars to preview but not i cant see any indication of how to-do it. very disappointing ...

Bug - they're aware/working on it -- FAQ said they weren't touching those areas yet - somebody didn't follow that.

There's a technical workaround -- search for one of the many recent posts about copying preview chars

If you have adblock, in Firefox, press CTRL + SHIFT + V, and block this url https

/a248.e.akamai.net/images.perfectworld.com/global/javascript/jquery-1.8.3.min.js

Or if you have Noscript, block Akamai.net.

I got the script out of the way, but now im stuck at the character copy, i can not collapse the selection bar, it says "error client blocked" whenever i click the collapsing button.

Hmmm nuts... pressing "ESC" does not stop the redirect process on my system. I wish some priority would be put on fixing this.

Managed to get passed the redirect and log in by doing this. However, the boxes to select which character to copy are not working for me now.

How do I copy a character to Preview with this new forum layout?
