Hey @jonkoca don't hold out on us! Xbox PvP HRs could use a heads up on how to plan for Mod 16 given all the crazy changes... Do we need we need to start getting 3 stat enchants to hit stat caps or are Brutals still viable? What about defensive enchants? Do you need to overload stats like Crit/CA in PvP or is it better to…
Does anyone know which enchants are going to (probably) be most useful for HR in PvE/PvP? Will 1-2 stat enchants hold value or is everyone going to want 3 stat enchants to get max total stat points? If certain widely used enchants suddenly aren't as desirable that could wipe out a lot of market value. (Brutals, I'm looking…
I never used Commanding for this reason. The long animation: 1) makes it easy to dodge 2) makes you a sitting duck 3) is easily interrupted. It hits like a truck and provides a nice debuff, but you should be running enough ArmPen to not need the debuff; and because of the long animation, unless you're sniping from a…
@jonkoca nice update. A couple questions: - Overload Enchants: Slayer overloads give you 10%+ dmg buff. If you fight dps CW and SW, for example, and you need to melt them before they melt you, that's a big advantage. Since you can get ArmPen and Deflect from other sources, seems like a waste to slot overloads for stat…
Yes, that's how it works, but you get to add Control Resistance to the amount of time remaining, so you're reducing it by 80/85% and whatever time is left is reduced by your Control Resist %. So if you have 1200 Control Resist plus the 10% Control Resist from boons, and an Unparalleled Elven, Hadar's Grasp barely does…
@jonkoca that's fair. I get that approach. I play to win, but not at all costs. I won't use broken troll builds, like that guy using the GF KV exploit. To me that's like selling your honor for wins. Despicable. Re: Shadowclad/Elven, you can always sell the Shadowclad and buy the Elven on the AH, or trade for it. If you…
@jonkoca do you have an Unparalleled Elven? That should solve 1 and 3. With Unp. Elven Battle, SW/CW are prime targets for farming. No reason to fear the stunlock. For trapper stunbots, I switch to a Combat or Trapper build. Archer vs. Trapper is a bad matchup. No movement = dead Archer. TRs...ugh.
@jonkoca I told you Stronghold set + SSC + heals was OP on pg 9 of the previous thread, in July 2018. Glad you finally came around  Hunter's 10% dmg debuff is useful. When racing another DPS to zero in a 1v1 it works just like a 10% buff to your dmg. It's super fast and easy to sneak in a Hunter's shot in the 1st…
Flail Snail puts you at a significant disadvantage. There are much better ways to get AP gain. You can run the MW set (Bronzewood Sash/Beaded Amulet) for AP gain, plus great offensive stats and Alacrity bonus, as @jonkoca pointed out above. The AP gain from that set gives you 100% uptime on Disruptive and Forest Ghost, and…
If there was a feat in the Archery tree that made Aspect of the Pack give you all AoE buffs any other party member had, that would fix the problem quite nicely. Stillness could remain untouched and you could be at distance, while enjoying all relevant party buffs. I think that's the best solution so far.
Probably because they didn't want to have HRs accidentally buffing their comps with buffs meant for other players. A much better solution would be to give the comp the buff automatically for free, and not count it towards the max targets.
This makes sense. However, it's a huge change that would require the devs to recode most of the buff powers in the game. Also, many of the buffs have animations to identify where the boundaries are. Those animations would need to be eliminated or changed. That's a ton of work just to make accommodate HR Archers...the devs…
TLDR - 1) have Stillness grant a flat Crit/dmg buff, or 2) have Stillness build stacks off of ranged attacks similar to Battle Crazed ------------- 90% of this thread is trolling/insulting/pointless arguments about personal opinion. Other classes have received dev feedback because the threads were focused, to-the-point,…
Reposted from another thread: Re: Stillness of the Forest in Mod 15 (PvP/PvE) Right now we can get into position at range and fire off a rotation with +25% Crit and +10% Dmg. Let's look at what happens in Mod 15 if we stand still and don't move, in comparison to what we have already: 0 stacks / 0 seconds: -25% Crit, -10%…
Changes in Mod 15 to Archery aren't going to be good for PvP with changes to Stillness of the Forest. Right now we can get into position at range and fire off a rotation with +25% Crit and +10% Dmg. Let's look at what happens in Mod 15 if we stand still and don't move, in comparison to what we have already: 0 stacks / 0…
"we primarily focused on creating a more viable Archery build" Archery were always viable. Archers were just built for PvP, not PvE. You guys tried to make Archery more viable in PvE by basing Stillness of the Forest on mobility rather than distance. The problem is... - Archery still requires range to get full self buffs.…
I also leveled up a 2nd toon to 70, and the achievement didn't pop. I was in an Artificer's Workshop instance when I hit 60, and I was running a TR. Very disappointing, as I specifically leveled that toon for the achievement.
Re: Shadowclad, I was relaying information from an HR named Marco on PS4 who said he stacks 24k+ Deflect and Shadowclad still procs on top of it. I argued with him about it and asked for a video of it procing, as well as a screenshot of his 24k Deflect for proof, both of which he provided. Evidently the explanation about…
Yeah, we have very different builds; I contest nodes 1v1 all the time with my high Deflect. To each his own! Cool to see your take on things. Thanks for sharing your insights. What happens when you run curse bringer and drains together?
I also thought Shadowclad worked that way, but the tooltip is wrong/misleading. You can test it: have someone hit you a bunch of times, and you will see the stacks of Shadowclad increase even if a hit is Deflected. Otherwise Shadowclad would get you to 100%+ Deflect after a few stacks and then it would stop procing--so…
I reread your page 1 build because I'm tweaking a few things on my build. A couple suggestions: - You're using DC Sigil for Action Point gain. But if you use Bronzewood Sash + Beaded Amulet, you have full AP the whole match without actively managing it and you can use Soul Sight Crystal for 50% damage buff. - You wrote…
Thoughts on Bilethorn or Frost weapon enchants? One of the biggest issue for archers is getting chased around the map by melee players, especially GF. If we can get a 60% slow with Trans Bilethorn, that may mean having plenty of time to unload Aimed Shot while never being caught, effectively nerfing melee players in 1v1…
I got a Ring of the Spellflinger +5, which is great for my Archer Tank. Extra defense, plus 2.5% damage. I'm currently using it with Ring of the Curse Bringer for partial paralysis. If I can get a Ring of the Spellflinger +4 I'll stack that instead. With pots, and Shephard's Devotion, I should be able to get to 100%…
