Can't even get past the "Trying to update the launcher" window.. It goes up to about 11-15 times, then says connection issue.. My internet is running fine.
Welcome aboard! Our three new members! Machinegunblues Azelle ShootNLoot Those pondering a fresh guild centered around casual RP and Good/Neutral aligned characters shall look no further than Haven's Point! We're currently recruiting all races, classes and backgrounds. Feel free to submit an application at our website at…
1) Int is far stronger for the CW than Char, but Wis is very beneficial as well if you're going the control route over DPS. 2) Five seconds, I believe 3) Slow, Immobilize, Stun, Hold, Push are control effects. Chill is stacks of Slow on a target, stacking them to 6 triggers 'Frozen', which is a Stun/Hold
As far as the CW build goes, there's not a whole lot of ways you can mess it up when it comes to feat points, most of the power from the class comes from player skill and knowing when to and when not to use specific abilities. Another part is your gear, are you stacking crit, power, deflection or defense? Those numbers…
Never had a problem with survivability on the Control Wizard. Got to level 40 with only a single death because someone was being an idiot and pulled things to me, but other than that, I had no problems at all locking down problem baddies and flat out DPSing the trash mobs. Even got top DPS on every dungeon I did on the way…
Would be nice to have Wisdom as our main stat, or at least give us the choice to move the three around as what we want as our primary and secondaries, as long as it was between those three.
I broke it?! Duct tape it! That'll fix it.. Maybe.. If not? Moar duct tape! Seriously though, the site should be up and running, some moderately active forums and whatnot. As well as some weekly meetings to get things hashed out before launch.
Good news, everyone! The guild's website is up and running! Anyone can join and submit an application. Membership isn't necessary to join the community, since we enjoy welcoming new people to join in on our RP and enrich everything to make it all fun. That's what this is all about right? Having fun! Our website has full…
I do not see what people are talking about. I got to 19 as well, and did Cloak tower twice now.. Got top DPS on both runs, against rogues.. What's the problem?
Agreed, though it doesn't seem the power to fit on a 'Control' Wizard. Though when it comes to Paragon Paths, it wouldn't be difficult to squeeze in, right? The Control Wizard does have three trees. Tactical, DPS and Control. It wouldn't surprise me if later on, closer to launch, there were more paths we could choose.…
Hopefully there will be choices later on for what Paragon path we can take. If it was only one, it wouldn't have greyed out 'Paragon Power', would it? It would always be the same abilities, regardless.
I know I'll be joining! Someone has to break the mold of all those dark and questionable Drow house guilds.. May as well be one that actually fits the character I'll be making. His entire basic story structure is trying to be rid of the stigma of his kind, so it all works out! Besides, everyone could use friends to keep…
Threat is horrible on a Wizard. You have very little defense compared to everything else, no self heal of your own, yadda yadda. My suggestion is to take that threat reduction thing as soon as you can possibly get it. It may help your companion or teammates steal the baddy away from you. Gives you an opening to wipe out…
I personally don't see the problem in having some back-up along for the ride. There's always some kind of accent a class could use, like a Control Wizard could make use of the Man at Arms, a pseudo-tank to keep some of the aggro off of you. Or maybe the Cleric on a Guardian Fighter? Sounds good to me! Skilled players can…
So far the one paragon path we've seen was the Storm path with electrical abilities. Who's to say there might not be a fire path as well with some fire Encounters and an At-Will spell? There might be a few paths for each class, but were given just one for that weekend to see how it went. Maybe we'll see another one in a…
Really did have a lot of fun with the Control Wizard, though being one of the people who were concerned with the lack of control the class actually had. I was only able to permanently lock down one target, and even then it didn't apply to things like dungeon bosses or things that resisted everything I did. These changes…
Personally, I want to be able to move while fighting again. That part sold me on the Control Wizard in the trailer and I really wanted to be able to do it. There is a fair thing to do to make everyone happy with that, is to apply the slow movement from blocking in Champions Online or the shift thing in the PnP while using…
