I just found the downside of shield maiden: 50,000 AD to upgrade her past level 20. There's also some other currency you can spend to do it, but I can't tell what it is. Glad it's double AD time!

I had almost as much fun playing in the AD exchange as I did playing in dungeons and skirmishes! I'm not sure at what price it peaked (I think 145 or 146) but I played in and out of the Zen/AD market as it rose from the 130's into the 140's. I was sweating! I looked in the AH and saw a level 10 Tymora's Blessing for 1,000,000 AD. Talk about price gouging! For that price you get a 4% chance of a drop. LOL!

Top box will tell you if your profession(s) has completed task(s). Click on that box then collect your reward from completed task(s). You must do this before you can start another task in that unlocked and available box. Now select the unlocked and available box to start a new task, select the profession to use, etc.

For what it's worth, I'm liking my shield maiden. She tanks on one side and I tank on the other for combat advantage. I need those enchantments with Companion's Gift. I do want that portal hound though! :)

Noob question: How do you participate in this event? Is it just a change to random drops for a period of time, or do you have to go to a particular place and do specific things in order to participate? EDIT: Sorry, I missed the comment above, but if someone else could elaborate it'd be appreciated.
