I've seen many stupid ideas in my time, but this, good sir, is without doubt one of the top five most idiotic. Kudos. Unless you are deliberately trying to stop all PvP in this game, in which case bravo. This idea will succeed in that beautifully.
Hey, I'll be the first to admit that RPers can be whiny, arrogant, demanding, egotistical, and even bullying at times (especially to other RPers). That doesn't, however, justify the "Rpers are seen by some as creepy, so why don't you guys go play by yourselves somewhere where the rest of us can't see you" post that some…
So, RPers should just go off somewhere to hide themselves away so that other players don't feel "funny" being around them? If these many people find RP to be "a little strange and creepy," don't you think that segregating the RPers so that they're out of sight will only confirm those "strange and creepy" opinions?
I'm sure this seemed quite witty when you thought of it, but in the future I suggest getting a friend or family member who is capable of being honest with you to read your posts before you hit the Reply button.
Also, when you preview the chest armour/robes, it'll continue to show the worn item while putting the skin of the appearance item on top of it, resulting in an unholy mess. I'm not sure if this is just me that is having this particular problem, but I'm finding that I can't really preview what an item will look like because…
Not that I have an opinion on this idea one way or the other, but I should point out that if you're going to use the medieval age as the litmus for what should and shouldn't exist in this game, then every single female character wearing armour and wielding a weapon should be removed.
Okay, this might be a wee bit off topic, but concerning your link, I'd just like to point out that trolls didn't destroy The Old Republic; Bioware did that all on their own.
Right. Rather than start a new thread about this, I'll just bring this one back from its five-day exile. Is there a way to mix and match the appearance of the regular gear with that of the fashion gear? I want my rogue to show the normal armour gear for the chest, but the peasant's trousers for the legs. I've tried…
What does a comic about a boy with an overactive imagination have to do with this argument? Okay, let's see if this will work for you. You brought up Superman earlier as a classic example of Power Fantasy. How is it that you don't see the obvious Sexual Fantasy in that? Are you trying to tell me that you don't see why…
That was not the point I was trying to make. The point was, trying to make a "this isn't realistic" argument in this kind of discussion is pointless, because none of the armour in this game is realistic. All of it would get someone killed very quickly if worn in real life. You would be far better to concentrate on an…
I see your example of ridiculous armour, and raise you this: Yes, the example you showed would be utterly stupid to wear in any kind of realistic battle situation. Now, could you tell me how the example I just gave is any less stupid, considering that there is literally no way the fighter above would be able to life his…
