Today I got 2650 XP just for invoking. I don't see this changing, as I'm having the same issue in STO. (If you can call this an issue) It's a shame it doesn't seem to fit their marketing approach, though I can't think of a reason they wouldn't want to permit this. I guess it'd be easily exploited somehow for farming…
+1 *laughs* What country do you live in? Laws get exploited every day, worldwide. We could have King Neverwhatever issue peddler's permits! :) You can only shout your wares in the market squares! Again, I know not everyone can see it, but if I posted it more often perhaps more people will: I believe there should be a…
Which is why I'd be OK with the rare stuff requiring much higher levels? But as it stands you level so fast that spending money on anything worth a **** at lower levels is like...well like buying expensive clothes for a two-year old. They're going to grow out of it so quickly it's not worth the investment.
...Nooo, I still want the other stuff I get from invoking. Like coins. And I get 1300-1700 XP on my first invoke every day. It goes down for each invoke after that.
Thanks, Asashiro. That's the first statement I've seen where the argument makes the report system unreasonable. If you're not in the same zone with someone, or haven't had a private message, it shouldn't count as a demerit against you. If you can't click on the chat someone sent you, a console command shouldn't tack on…
Thinking about it, the 'ignore' demerit is horrible. If you haven't gotten a message from that person via whisper, or aren't in the same zone chat with them, that shouldn't work. At least if you don't right click on the chat anyway. If you can /ignore @characterHandle that's a bit *too* exploitable. That's the first…
clcmercy, sockmunky: Thanks for the info. I assumed if someone could be muted for being ignored I have hit that threshold several times by now :) My fault for making assumptions!

So do it. What's stopping you? I'm the mentally deficient one? You're the one making idle threats. If it's so easy, why aren't more people doing it? Maybe because more people don't want banned. Someone please explain to me how you report a spammer when you don't see them typing. Frankly I think you'd get yourself a 24h…
I concur. I loved City of Heroes system where they had a 'sidekick'/'mentor' system. CoV did something similar. I'd love to see that in other games: All the health of a higher level character but none of the skills. The problem was seeing higher level content/missions before you got there, and they're out of context. (Not…
Yeah...that sucks. I noticed that on shirts and shorts. And leadership was the only one that seemed appealing at first. What's the point of having a game that isn't a grindfest only to make the 'crafting' a grindfest?
That's...sad. We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one, because that was the point I was making: People with no friends are most affected by this...and there might be a reason they don't have friends...because people want them muted.
My understanding is that the 'demerits' only accumulate from 'Report Spam', not 'Ignore'. If you've an official post outlining how this system works I'd appreciate a link to it. If it does, I feel even better. If you send a bunch of private messages to someone in game full of insults you should get a demerit, so the system…
I don't think it's people who are selling in zone that are getting reported. It's not getting a 24hr mute for: [Zone] Queue: WTT [Sinister Shade's Armor] for Swashbuckling Armor People are getting reported for: [Zone] Queue: WTT [Sinister Shade's Armor] for Swashbuckling Armor [Zone] Queue: WTT [Sinister Shade's Armor] for…
Does anyone else get the feeling the people who are most upset about this are people who don't have the ability to chat outside the game? Like...they don't have friends or something? If this bothers you, maybe you're doing something wrong...like, fundamentally. Does being reported mute the in-game voice too? I mean, you…
This poll is the single most definitive evidence of player satisfaction EVER in the history of ALL GAMES EVERYWHERE an is...what was the quote from earlier? Oh right, IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE of...uh--PERFECTION in the PERFECT WORLD and therefore all other arguments are invalid. That's why it's called Perfect World. But we're…
Similes have their place, but we're not quoting poetry here, mate. We've no problem with you playing baseball, but it's still useless if you show up to our hockey game with a bat. No one is going to take you seriously that way and be confused when you do. I thought it was pretty clear in the very first post that it can be…
You see that there? That's where I stop reading. Because in my eyes you've already proven yourself worthless, and I'm not going to read what you post if you give me a reason to stop. It's probably why I haven't replied to you here in the forums, and just now noticed (because I'm sitting in Protector's Enclave and didn't…
So were you making a joke? or were you making a point? Because here you're saying you did both. Either you don't care and you were making a joke, or you seriously consider someone 'innocent' losing the ability to chat for 24 hours to outweigh the benefit of muting a great deal of spammers. Coming in and calling everyone…
I can always be wrong, but I don't believe Cryptic has the man-power to monitor spam abuse 24-7. I know our company doesn't; it's why we make it automated or give users the right to report spam.
Yup, dem the only two options. No third option some have used to express a middle-ground. Newp. That hasn't happened. Except for the 15% of people where it did happen.
