You're mistaking the queue system for the LFM system. Want to know how to use the LFM system? Go to the Social Panel, click on the "Find Party" tab and then faceroll yourself because it doesn't work. Move along, nothing to see here.

Yeah... When you can actually run the challenging content, let me know how that works out for you. For the rest of the non-idiots in Neverwinter, it isn't viable.

The content is mostly trivial until dungeons. I wouldn't worry much about min/max gear. Just do your daily PvPs and you'll have a good starter set for the epic dungeons.

This happened to me just recently. I also have Astral Diamonds sitting in limbo from a bidding war against someone after the auction had expired. I'm now the highest bidder for an hour after the auction had expired. I imagine they won't do anything to compensate, so I'd suggest avoiding the AH entirely unless you can…
