  • When Shard is in the spell mastery slot you don't choose where the shard goes so much as the direction. It always goes the same distance (assuming it doesn't blow up before then). Also, when you pick your direction very near the shard it jumps in that direction. If the target reticle is in the exact same spot as when you…
  • I know what's in those health potions!
  • Adding to the above list... Shard of the Endless Avalanche in the spell mastery slot sometimes does not summon at all, especially in low ceiling areas or next to walls. I think the shard is being summoned outside the map. Occasionally Shard of the Endless Avalanche goes on its full cooldown before moving the shard at all.…
  • The gear score when you look at at others is broken at the moment. It always shows your gear score instead of theirs. So it's possible your gear score was higher than his. If you asked him then please disregard. But yeah, I agree. Gear score only being a total number of stats instead of useful stats for you build is a joke.
  • All I want now is a way to completely turn off the lockbox spam.
  • Since the spec I wanted with my hero feats was two points from maxing all I wanted, human.
  • Indeed, the damage isn't anything to write home about but it's another chance at proccing Nightmare Wizardry when it crits for the combat advantage buff. Plus it has a chance to proc with each tick of Icy Terrain. I'm not sure about other DoTs like Conduit of ice.
  • INT/CHA looks to be a high damage spec but lacking in control duration. CHA/WIS would be a crit-heavy control spec but possibly lowest dps unless using the Renegade tree. INT/WIS would give the fastest recharge times for encounters and better than INT/CHA control duration but fewer crits. In my opinion the Renegade spec is…
  • I don't remember to be honest. I'll take a look tomorrow if BWE2/BWE3 characters weren't wiped and post it. In my opinion the percentages in nearly all the feats with stat gains were too low, and not just for the divine cleric. Though my "favorite" for being the least useful is the divine cleric feat Initiate of the Faith…
  • It's really too early to say whether any given build is viable or not as we don't know what level 60 is like (both in difficulty and what we can expect from stats on gear). I preferred seeing healing whenever I crit instead of a bonus to power recharge speed. 100% "cooldown reduction" cuts the actual cooldown in half. 200%…
  • I had planned on always putting a point into WIS then alternating CHA and STR. WIS for the damage and healing buffs, it's the main cleric stat and seemed to give the biggest bang for the buck. After playing for a bit I wished I had instead ignored CHA and dumped points into STR. The extra crit % from STR felt much more…
  • I rarely bothered with either Divinity empowered at-will power. I found it much more useful to empower the encounter spells. In general the damage/heal beams were too little for too much Divinity cost in my opinion.
  • It's also worth noting the post date of the linked video, March 12th. That would mean BWE2. The cleric self healing nerf wasn't until BWE3 so they failed despite the "OP" self healing from BWE2 and 8 second potion cooldown timers.
  • So cleric self healing was nerfed by ~75% and the devs still didn't accomplish their goal of clerics needing to use pots while solo during normal content? What was the point of nerfing cleric self heals again?
  • So cleric self healing was nerfed because they were getting too much gold in game compared to other classes, yet it's okay for me to group with and heal someone else for the full amount to save money on pots that way. How does that make any sense? Is Cryptic just trying to punish solo clerics? If cleric healing was deemed…
  • More numbers from BWE2 to add to the mix. 744 Power (+31 dmg/healing bonus) 908 Crit Strike (+8% crit chance) 880 Recovery (+8% AP gain and recharge speed) 448 Defense (12% dmg resist) 102 Life Steal (1% hp gained) 50 Movement (0% movement speed)
  • There has only ever been one path to choose from for paragon paths regarding the cleric in the beta weekends, Divine Oracle. I don't know what you mean by "middle path".
  • Prophecy of Doom was the Divine Oracle paragon encounter spell.
  • No denying that. Over 700 Power for a measly +31 damage/healing? I think a better thing to work out would be Crit Strike vs Recovery or STR vs CHA. Though it probably wouldn't be quite so straight forward once heroic/paragon feats are added into the mix. This thread has shifted my preferred stats on gear slightly though.…
  • I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification.
  • Prophecy of Doom is a paragon encounter spell for the cleric (Divine Oracle). The other two paragon trees were not available/shown. The next beta weekend will have the level cap increased to 50 and I remember hearing characters will likely *not* be wiped. As far as I know the CB players are still under NDA so you probably…
  • What prunetracy has posted is how cooldown redux works in Cryptic's other game CO. It is very likely that NWO works the same. Not to mention, there's the cast+activation time for powers so even if you could theoretically reduce cooldowns to zero it wouldn't give infinite hps/dps.
  • Divine empowered Forgemaster's Flame was awesome, but it was one of those situational things. The radius wasn't all that big so it only worked if you had a lot of melee in the group or you somehow convinced everyone to be in melee range of the boss (and said boss wasn't busy charging/teleporting everywhere). In fact, it…
  • Agreed. There should be a 2-3 minute timer at least to prevent companion saying spam.
  • Happened to me all the time as well. I'd lose my coins pretty much every time it happened though. So sure you can use invocation more often (which was subject to heavy diminishing returns), but if your special coin currency times out every time you're missing out on quite a bit (like free lockbox keys). @vanderhelm:…
  • Agreed, healing potions are better healers than clerics at level 40. 4k healing every 8 seconds or a HoT which lasts about that amount of time for ~2k. Not like players really have anything else to spend their gold on.
  • This has happened to me too every time in the Blacklake skirmish. Even the "Leave Instance" button just tries to put me in a different map of the same instance, which then fails. Logging out and back in which puts you back at the start next to an exit is the only workaround I know.
  • The other problem is bosses which are immune to controls. There's no bonus damage or debuffs associated with control powers used on control immune targets. Even chill stacks fall off immediately so all the powers which benefit from chill become much weaker.
  • Hmm, maybe an option is needed to make the sticky targeting a toggle is needed? Press once to lock on. Press again to detarget.
  • What needs to be looked at? The dodge already interrupts the attack.
