Theoretically, it should work under Wine (Crossover). Although I would suggest you either Bootcamp Windows or run a Virtual Machine. It's probably easier to get it to run in either one of those two.
Haha, my story might not be as engaging or well thought out as most people their work seems to be, but I agree with this to an extent. It is a little frustrating to see farm maps being more popular than my own tidbits I try to put as much effort into as I can, and pretty much tweak every day.
You're not supposed to mouseclick skills here. It's action combat. Move around, aim with the mouse and use the left and right mousebutton to attack with your basic attacks. Then use the default Q,E and R for the other three. The dice in the center is a bar that slowly fills up as you fight for your Daily(ultimate) ability.…
Potions and Injury kits at level 60 cost a reasonable amount of gold. Other than that, there's not much use to it though. (4g per stack of injury kits, and 1.25g per stack of potions)
Even so, most people I have spoken to will pick one of the top ones because they count for their dailies or are simply easy to find. :] But this is a discussion for a whole other topic! Haha. Anyhow, I forgot to add this to my notes field on the submission, however I do recommend you pick up at least one other player when…
Just submitted my work. Not a huge fan of shamelessly advertising work on my own behalf.. So I guess this seems like a good route to take! Thank you for doing this! I really appreciate the idea. (Although in my opinion, the game should offer an incentive for people to play and review new and more unknown missions itself)
Sadly, the game has a few rough edges. But for a F2P game I guess it's not that bad. I was a little offput myself as well, and actually regret spending 200 bucks on it for a little while. But after forcing myself through the earlier Beta incarnations it grew on me. And while I agree that it is far from perfect, and missing…
VSync and the frame limiter might do this. I've also noticed a few oddities regarding the mouse input switching to Software Mouse for some reason, which is awfully irresponsive. The entire game is based around the view you get. I suppose they want to stop you from overseeing the entire battlefield to make it feel more…
The current cleric version we have in-game uses the Holy Symbols for ranged combat. As I said before, it's not your PnP 3.5 cleric, it's a 4E Devoted Cleric stuck in its role. As for Rogue sneaking, it adds to some skills their effects.
1) You can not. The combat is based on action RPGs. Not tab targetting nonsense. 2) Odd, I know. You get used to it though. 3) Why would you want to? 4E uses fixed classes, and this game makes them even more static. 4) You can't do that with the current Cleric, classes are restricted to a certain build from the 4E ruleset.…
Can't access my character through the Gateway either, has an Apostrophe in his name like pretty much everyone else here. Kind of annoyed at it really, since my entire client decided to CTD every 5 or so minutes ever since an hour ago. So I can't play, nor do my crafting.
Disabling the on-demand patching means your client will no longer download what it needs if it misses anything, so it NEEDS to download every and all resources it doesn't have by default. And it hung on Patching for me as well, no idea why though.
That's odd, level 30 myself. I've been trying to get the darn thing to verify all my files, but sadly I can't seem to figure out how to get that done. (The Force Verify flag in the launcher only verifies the version number..) So redownloading the darn thing and re-installing, see if that fixes it. EDIT: Oddly enough, mine…
I get pretty much the same thing right now. Not sure how, why and when it started. But about an hour ago and onwards I noticed that my client would randomly crash to the desktop without warning every 10 or so minutes in a quest instance, skirmish or dungeon.
4E is very different, and much more tuned towards an Online Game of sorts. It's more or less the illegitimate offspring of the superior race. In a sense.
If they ever do that, my CO and STO accounts with their lifetimes will have plenty of Zen to last me through just about half the cash shop. I doubt they'll ever let that happen. :P
... Actually, Defiance is just like GW2/GW/TSW. You purchase it and are free to play it whenever without additional subscription fees. Anyway, I'd prefer they went with a slightly less abysmally expensive approach. But eh, I guess RaiderZ with the $20 mounts worked so well they were willing to double this. (In all honesty…
More like a special event, rather than your average "yay, you got it. Now shut up" approach games take with mounts. They tend to hand them out for free. Also, I would say $40 is a rather steep price for a mount. Not sure how you value your money, but I would rather grind up in-game currency.
Actually, I paid EUR189 for the Founders pack, which is $246.42. It's converted pretty **** poor for any country, because we all get charged in some very skewed manner that Skrill decides to convert currencies by. Anyhow, I don't think that your average amount earned will ever really change the price of an ONLINE game…
They did say Mounts are something special, in one of their development posts. A thing to work towards, and are not supposed to just be another point along the way like many games use it as these days. Although, who knows. This could change a few months after launch because people complain.
