Adding my name to this thread as another account not happy with changes to Hammer of Fate. I just wish people would quit posting about daunting light (an encounter ability) doing more damage than a daily, or they'll nerf that next. Why do you hate DCs Cryptic?
Not a PvPer, never have been - never will be. That said I'll reiterate what another poster wrote, DCs really didn't need to become even harder to play in PVE than they already were.
If your having trouble with a quest, press J to see what level the quest is, you may indeed be in over your head. Foundry missions are good for catching up.
Not going to rage over it, but I'm glad I leveled capped my devoted cleric before the change to Hammer of Fate went live, it got me through some darn hard "solo" quests for those last few levels.
No bashing here I play the exact same play style. The bad: at this time you can solo most of the foundry but you'll only get green gear, spell up potions, ID scrolls, random green gear and occasionally profession resources (they drop from the mobs). I used the honey badger on my DC, bought it some level 60 gear (companions are not restricted by level for gear choices) and using the foundry I made sure I was always at level or even a level or two over for the storyline quests I was on. Press J to check your journal to see what level the quests are.
