I'm not a big fan of the healing surges idea, only into my first encounter with it did I learn that my druid no longer had spells, but intead at will, encounters, and dailies, spent a good while trying to figure out if I could cast vigor, or good berry only to be told that I no longer have those abilities by people who had…
Yup, I expect every mmo I play to meet my needs and desires for content, deadlines, and sales /sarcasm :P Seriously though, if they had a new class it would've taken some of the heat off of the GG and given people something else to do, if you're not in a guild there was no update or content for you. They made a huge…
That may be true, but they have irritated a lot of players who were satisfied with 3 and 3.5e. It may be easier to understand for some, but it doesn't have the same feel to it. I'll agree with that, it is a little unfair to compare Pac Man to Legend of Zelda: OoT. Anyways, the playerbase doesn't need EVERY class within 2…
Paragon paths do nothing for the diversity of the game. Just because you and your friends do not wish for new classes does not mean a great deal of other players do not. I have actually stopped playing because I reached the end game in a week and couldn't actually play the end game, a new character would've at least had…
And you know what? DDO has built and expectation in raids that if you pull something and there are people in the group that could use it and you could not, then you are expected to put it up for roll. We don't need dice to tell us whether or not we're rolling for need or for greed, the community does that. I'm sad to say,…
Currently, PWE and Cryptic use the honor system when it comes to rolling need or greed on loot. This is a bad decision because there's always that one guy. THAT ONE GUY who doesn't care, he has no courtesy, he has no honor, he's just another loot *****. Just had someone who waited for everyone to roll greed on a piece of…
Never received my founder's gear for my Trick Rog, I had the letter, but the item was not attached, after thoroughly searching the letter I deleted it.
I keep seeing people saying that they will charge us for classes? What is your reasoning for this? There are games out there that do not charge you for new characters and classes that are free to play. I think the real issue is the character slots, but I can't be for sure until more information is gathered.
If it started at 12:01 AM PST then I probably would not get any sleep, and being in college that is a bad thing. It's hard enough getting to bed before 2am with the internet, but I don't need a game I'm hyped up for opening up for CBT at midnight.
Personally, I enjoy Siege Part 1 mainly because at the start it suggests to the players that there's a long road coming to us, by the marching of an undead army with the smirk on the elf right before she starts her assault. Then, it shows us that somethings aren't always as they appear as the beautiful elf turns into a…
I'm from the Xoriat server, but was moved to Thelanis. You can look me up as Rian on DDO forums or Ryon in-game. However, even with NWO I'll most likely still be a main DDO player.
That's actually kind of disappointing, that limits the way some players complete their quests. I've always enjoyed sneaking through a dungeon unscathed and slaying the mobs that got in my way. Although, I can see that this IS a combat based game in the way of advancement and such. It would be nice to be able to be rewarded…
The first opportunity I get to make a shifter druid, I'm taking it the same goes to Drow Ranger. Drow ranger was a character I had in DDO for about 5 years, not because of Drizzit either. Didn't hear about him til they started talking about forgotten realms and I started seeing people with that name. Til then, I'll be a…
First, I feel like I should mention that I attempted to read through this entire thread and comprehend everything before making a post. Second, ermmm... derp? Anyways... Character Custimization: I was looking through multiple 4e classes and builds such as druid and fighter (I like druids ;)) I saw all the abilities and…
Yeah, I'm looking up the 4e rules just to double check and notice a lot of things I'm not used to. The point still stands that rogues are nimble and squishier than a beefy fighter in heavy armor.
It's a shame seeing a game that had so many possibilities being turned into a game with so few. They really should change it so a character can use a wider amount of equipment. Perhaps treating the classes themselves as archetypes then allowing us to pick the subclass (Great weapon fighter or Guardian). Then perhaps there…
I have a few questions, probably a lot to some. To be fair I feel like you should also know a little about me so perhaps you could better answer my questions. I have played Dungeons and Dragons: Online since 2006, I have also played Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 so I have a decent amount of DnD (at least 3.5) and I have…
Rogues should be able to attack faster, they're agile, and recieve less hps per level than a fighter. Their best defense is speed. I'm not even sure how they plan on dealing with aggro management and sneak attack damage. Fighters are lugging around in heavy armor (full plate from the looks of the video) which has a max dex…
