Is there a problem with preview? I have tried about 6 times now to log in and I always crash at the loading screen.

    And I cant test things.
    Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi, for some reason my gear "accursed diabolist" shows different stats from the normal T2 epic gear, even with the pieces of AD set showed in collection are higher than my current stats.

    So campaign scaling?

I assume this means that means a player can enter Icewind Dale or Well of Dragons at level 65 or 70 and not face stomp the area, or easily solo the epic HE's? Does this include the dungeons as well like Malabogs, Kessel's Retreat, Lair of Lostmauth, and Tiamat?

If so is the scaling forgiving enough that there is no perception that people under level 70 arn't bringing down the team? So to speak

Restart the client, for some reason you have to restart the client and try again before it lets you. It's odd.

Weird, but thanks, that worked. Paladin now selectable.

Wonder what the "Coming Soon" class is going to be?

About creating Palladin. When i delete previous character for a free slot to make Palladin, ill choose new, but i cant find new proffesion Palladin, so i relog and it appears then i create the paladyn to view start feats and others so then i delete them and again when i tried to create new character palladin i didint saw this proffesion. It happens when you delete character and try to meak new one. Only helps relog to see the new class. In relog i mean relog from client cos relog in game (log out) does not work.

So I patch my preview to the latest patch and try to log in, but after I select my character the game crashes on the loadscreen, never loads me in... How can I test then?

EDIT: Still impossible to login, keeps crashing when I want to load my character into the game. Don't know if it has to do w/ the fact that the character was in Well of Dragons when I copid it over or what, but it still crashes when I get about half loaded up. Oh and it's a fresh character copy which works on live server, well as much as it can, it will crash over there too after a few hours, but still not immediately.

If this is supposed to be included in this update, then it's not working at all. I don't have any of the quests that start the campaigns available, and the campaign windows say "You must be level 60".

You don't have a free slot on Preview. Preview insists you have fewer than two character slots used in order to permit you to make a new one.

You need to have < 2 characters on the Preview server for the New Character to be available.

Move your character to PE and import again. I assume the old campaign areas are largely turned off, so it crashes when it tries to load somewhere inaccessible.

Please clarify what this means regarding the level scaling. Does this mean scaling from level 1 or a pre-60? or only between levels 60-70 for all of the campaigns that are currently level 60 only?

The parts of ToD that were not locked out before the most recent outage actually scaled you down in level to match the area (fighting at level 40ish in Icespire, for example).

So, if we can't delete characters, how are we supposed to make a Paladin?

My mistake, they still require level 60, but can be used for leveling beyond that. I have updated the patch notes.

Tyranny of Dragons did appear to be a special case though, since it starts pre-60. From what I was able to see, player characters are scaled down to a level appropriate to each ToD area, and the lair component of Common Cause may only be available to level-capped characters again (level 71 foes therein).

For some reason the game crashes while loading, after selecting my character. Before crashing it briefly hangs in the loading screen, while the music plays in a loop. After that Cryptics Crash report comes up and i slelect send. Please fix it.

Update : The game crashes even after selecting "Safe Mode" from launcher options. Also for some reason i managed to load the game normanly when i selected an old character i had transfered on preview a few months ago but the game crashed while lowering the video settings. If i select a newly transfered character the game crashes anyway.

    Items and Economy
    • Companion Fortification Kit: This item has been renamed to to Dated Companion Fortification Kit.

Does this mean that the items in the Companion Fortification Kit will not work to upgrade companions to legendary (or whatever the new highest level of companion is called)?

"Dated" usually means "old" - so does that mean you can't use these to upgrade "old" companions beyond their current limits?

On live, I have two kinds of companion kits in my shared stash, same name but don't stack. The older kit can drop an assortment of rank 6 runes, but the one I got from a gamble pack in the most recent siege didn't have that in the random loot when I was comparing them to see why they wouldn't stack. I'd have to look at the tooltips again, but I'd just assume that going forward they're taking into account that blue runes are less than useful.

maybe I will get flamed for this but the "foes" or what ever you want to term them are pretty weak in the drowned shore.

I am level 60 but by no means am I top tier at current live but I am almost 1 shotting everything with atwills and they hit like limp noodles.

not that I am complaining( much) but this is a new 60+ zone/ or at the least I am sure I read it say these zones should scale to our level that is a bit disappointing that I can walk in and not have to worry about actually doing anything to survive or kill.

not saying to increase it 100 fold or anything but that needs some work.

just some feed back is all

Go fight the level 63 foes (crabs on the beach) and you might find you feel differently. Also, once you do hit level 61, you'll feel weaker due to the change in stat curves, which are still being developed.
