Overgeared PVP team vs **** teams such as most of the ones on the video?

Like I said, go make your premade, go face Synergy's best, EOA's best, Chocolate Shoppe's best.

Play your CW and stream the video.

Next match against any of those 3, I will record and link to you :) I look forward to your disappointment.

I hope it isn't because of this video....or is it

It is! We found out he couldn't beat a CW and he was G-Kicked. No mercy!

In all honesty, he had a very poor attitude and no emotional control.

Nah I can play my CW for any premade that you want, i'm just saying that it would not be "best vs best".

I hardly doubt that EOA or synergy would premade us, they never do, so I will check with CS when i log on the game later/tomorrow.

Well I'd really like to see that video if it ever happens.

Awesome video, very encouraging for those of us who refuse to abandon the CW in PvP. I've been running the same setup but CoI instead of Chill Strike/RoE, definitely gonna have to check that out. What is this insta-shard-drop you're talking about? I always "pre-shard" as I like to call it, tab first to bring up the aiming circle and then control encounter>drop, which I see you do as well, but I never get a feeling of quicker shard-drops...Is there a way to intentionally get it to drop faster than normal?

Well, a little off topic question here, if someone has elven battle slotted, can cw still 100% control him?? At least not cc-locked so we can dodge often.

So I watched this closely :)

Let's recapitulate what we can actually see in the video:

    - HRs that doesn't use Constricting against CW (ewwww) - not once
    - squishy PvE CW that died on one meatball rotation
    - tiefling CW that can be controlled as easy as hell and casts meatball 50 yards away from target
    - no-name GWF fight that begins with CW daily crit, and CW still almost dies. GWF used raven in PvP (we all know why we don't use that right?) and missed his frontlines
    - CW that used Singularity in PvP (looool)
    - blacksheep fighting in Hot Pants' shield and with CriticaL's CC

This video shows absolutely nothing about the reality of CW. It shows a good Rank 10s/Perfects CW and the hell that it can inflict on n00bs. Also blacksheep is here since forever and very experienced in PvP overall. He has a huge gear and tactical advantage against those adversaries.

The only guild at your level is Chocolate Shoppe. Only in that context can your CW prove anything, when it will be against the likes of Steamroler+Nightwing DPS couple, or against AllT and Sobek, or Sicarius. Let's add k4to and mouz for good measure as well.

I stopped watching after you pummeled a HR 1vs1 TWICE with a shard.

Only distracted opponents or noobs get hit with a shard on tab or otherwise.

Yeah... and then later he lands shard on a GWF twice on his head without CCing him first.

You don't even have to dodge shard (or sprint), you just have to walk away as the animation shows it appearing over your head.

Shard on Tab is the best thing a CW has going for it right now, so the OP is right on focusing on it, but the amount of times he hits people with it is extraordinary (pretty much every time he casts it, whether or not the target is CC'ed).

Even if you entangle someone first it doesn't guarantee you'll land a shard on their head...

This video is like a TR saying Duelist's Flurry is great and showing a video of him playing against people that don't move around when he's attacking them.

When i look at the forums and see some dude advertising his skills with a vid, first of all i read the forum, then i watch the video.

This shows nothing, only a dude who rocks his credit card and has a little of knowledge about pvp and his class against a team of pugs.
I will leave my impression on credit card guilds also called elite pvp guilds: You are not any elite or anything else, again, the wallet makes you outstand against others, if that make credit card guilds elite, then for me its alright, despite the fact i still managed to humilliate and make some of these so called elite players to the boiling point with any of my characters.

Yet so, there's nothing interesting in this vid but a dude trying to measure his wallet over the internet.

Thank you, have a good one.

PS: I dont give a **** if melonoob deletes this and ban me since hes a *******. **** off.

I think he means in PVP gear it recharges faster when slotted in tab. There's no way to make it drop faster, and against capable opponents you're not going to hit them with it so easily as this vid shows.

I guess some people here are really dumb or blind, it's hard to decide.
You dont understand that "they dont move" because I Icy Rays them, Entangling is just a little extra here, the real thing about shard build is Icy Rays, which is not affected by tenacity.
No, they dont stand there because they are HAMSTER, they stand there because they can't move.

Like I always do on this forum, I can prove my words in-game, since talking is easy, wanna premade me? :)
You will see how you will die the same way the people on the video die.

Learn to play, learn about the class, learn how to watch videos, before you come and vomit a lot of wrong information on the forums.

"insta drop" i mean insta drop right when I cast my other spells, Icy rays + Entangling, or entangling + Icy rays, + drop shard and all that without breaking the chain, so pretty much most of the targets wont have nothing to do, and just get hitted by the entire rotation.

I think the CW in the video is skilled. He used the right rotations, geared pretty well (whether or not you say P2W, I can't judge atm).

I agree though, this video shows nothing but an over-geared CW and his super team pummeling through pugs and noobs.

People were complaining that elite CWs can't beat elite TRs, elite GWFs 1v1.

Last time I checked, nobody has ever posted a video of a CW consistently besting someone like Jerkface (Enemy Team TR) or Svet (Synergy TR) or Gertylog (Synergy GWF) or Nightwingzx (Chocolate Shoppe HR).

EDIT: Someone here challenged me on that though so the good news is, we'll see a video of a CW HAMSTER Jerkface in a 1v1 match soon enough!
I will say to that person, Jerkface is a streamer on Twitch and he's got quite the mouth on him. Loves to trash talk and challenge folks so I'm sure it won't be hard to arrange that :)

No, they dont stand there because they are HAMSTER, they stand there because they can't move.
    .

It's because this video doesn't show the true reality of PVP for a CW.

Against folks that know what they are doing and are properly equipped, icy rays, entangle etc will only CC them for far less than a second. Against folks that know what they are doing, they will NOT stand still long enough (even after an entangle, icy rays etc) to get hit with shards. Most CW skills have telegraphing which makes them easily avoidable by skilled opponents.

I suggest you read up on things before trying to call others names. Proning is not affected by tenacity so GWF and GF's can still chain prone you. If you haven't experienced it yet as a CW you aren't fighting experienced opponents. That is the big issue with the tenacity patch. It took away much of what made CW's good in pvp, yet it didn't balance other OP classes.

You can tell pretty quickly how good your opponents are by how they move around and how they are affected by CC. I've still had roflstomps against folks without tenacity gear. Against a team that knows what they are doing, a CW doesn't stand much of a chance.

    Svet (Synergy TR)

Ill take the challenge on posting a video against Svet lol

Why people insist that he 1v1s against the best of the best is just ****ed up.
This video shows that a well played CW can beat people, help his team out and do some ****ing damage !

CWs cant really do much against HRs, like nightwingzx, revrac, mouz etc. Also against good TRs its impossible. I think i procced keltz0r 3 times out of 100 duels. So suggesting that is lame. l2p.

Anyways nice vid Blacksheep. post more

CW is fun to pug with, i barely play mine and its not geared but yea if you end up on mid alone with 2 hrs and a gf there as a meatball cw.. yeah.... its bad :S

Imo still if you want to make an effective comp there is always a better option than having a cw. Another gwf/hr/tr will always be better than another cw if you want to have the most effective comp. I'm talking about max 2 of 1 class comps here.

anything that is not an archery perma constricting HR or the top tier TR's, will get hit by the shard in 80% of the times.
Once again, all you can do is bla bla bla? I can prove my words in game. Maybe you're saying that because you suck on CW, I don't.
Simply 1v1 me in game and show me how I will "NEVER" be able to shard you.

PS : Stop tripping that "GOOD GEARED FOLKS ARE 7000% IMMUNE TO CC", wtf are you talking about?

To me, it seems like 99% of the CW population has no clue what they're actually doing. I think the TS is just a tad smarter than our average 15 year old pvp - pros. In the end it really comes down to who is the smarter person, not who has the better gear etc. I mean, ridiculing his playstyle is the last thing you guys should do, since he clearly does things which you all are unable to do, yourselves. Think about it.

    Nice video.

All this demonstrates is that in order to be viable in PVP as a CW, you must:
    1. go purely for a PVP build, high INT/CON, none of that PVE stuff
    2. get 37k HP (!)
    3. have a strong guild team that has your back
    4. learn Shard in Spell Mastery which you will never ever have to do in PVE play

In other words if you want your toon to be PVE viable then you might as well not set foot in PVP.

The problem that I have as a PVE CW, is that I don't think I ought to have to gimp my character so completely for the mode of play that I enjoy the most (PVE) in order to merely have a non-frustrating experience in PVP.

    Nice video.

Nobody ridiculed the playstyle. He plays the only viable premade spec out there, and he plays it good.

The only question marks were raised because having a Rank 10 PvP CW in a Rank 10 PvP team from the second best PvP guild on the game killing pugs that have no idea what they are doing means nothing.

If CW is that good, it should be able to go against others full rank 10 elite PvPers head to head. Some names were given, and it was admitted in the end that actually CW is nothing more than a support class and that pretty much each other class but a DC are better overall.

Would be really dumb to attack blacksheep as a bad player when he's one of the best PvPers in the game for months.

    Blacksheep=good.
    CW=not that good.

But then again, friend, you are trying to contend against players who are dedicated to their craft of killing in PVP. It's the same with everyone else. Pit a PVE TR, HR, and GWF in PVP domination and they'll get downright screwed similar to a PVE CW. All competitive PVP TR's, GWF's, and HR's you see in PVP are all, at some point, spec-ed for PVP, with their PVE capabilities considerably sub-par compared to classes built solely for PVE. Why exactly should a character built for PVE be able to contend against the dedicated PVP-built characters? If you want to PVP against the majority of the PVP spec-ed opponents you see in Domination, then you should at least be prepared to show the same amount of dedication as them and sacrifice what needs to be sacrificed for PVP. Otherwise you'll simply be having a tough time in PVP with your PVE spec. If you really do not wish to let go of your PVE spec and would like to PVP as a CW, then rerolling is your best bet, unless the devs release some sort of dual spec system.

Quite honestly I would like to see an "Amateur" queue separate from an "Elite" queue. Let the PVP-specced toons go to the Elite queue and let the n00bs, artifact farmers, and PVE ppl go to the Amateur queue.

This is going to be especially more important with mod3 with more PVP artifacts and more people trying to farm them.

Because I view PVP as a sideshow, something to do when I'm bored, not something that I focus on when I play the game. It is like a pickup sports match on the weekend. It's something I might do for fun, it is not my man avocation, like it is for a professional sports athlete.

What PVP is becoming is that you *must* be *as competitive* as the Elite players to even set foot in a match to enjoy it at all. What is wrong with just enjoying a casual match without having to face "elite" players?

I love how people think in order for you to be viable in pvp you have to be able to 1v1 a person all game... Ever heard of roamers/floaters? They're designed for kill squads, not solo point holding. There's 5 people in a game 3 points means somewhere in there you're going to have a 2v2. CW's job is to help burst one person down then float to a different point leaving the other person with the 1v1. They aren't mean to stay stationary, they're for changing the ebb and flow of the fight.

Force your enemy to reinforce where you've just attacked and leave weak where you're about to.

The ONLY HR's that don't do this are inexperienced pug ones. Constricting makes your shard disappear too and they keep hitting you with this. I'd really love to see you get any shards in against these folks....

Properly played, an HR is one of the most OP classes for PVP. If you can handle these guys 1vs1 then you are by far the best PVP CW on the server.
