I think this whole PvP thing is being gone about in the wrong way. Personally, I don't think GFs need any damage buffs (skill activation buffs are fine). I've ran into plenty that can pop Supremacy of Steel and come out the winner against anything 1v1 with pretty much any mix of skills they decide to use in conjunction. Makes no sense that they can BLOCK damage but still RETURN damage. They're a GUARDIAN fighter. If people want a DPS character, let them make one instead of a tank. You could at least give the GFs an ability score that increases their crit chance. Problem solved. On the topic of tanks, a GWF should in no way be able to tank better than a GF. Unstoppable is the most OP tab skill in the game. Temp hit points, 25-50% damage resist, crowd control immunity... THAT'S what makes them unkillable. I've seen 3 characters with 14k+ gear scores not even able to bring a GWF down. They're Great Weapon FIGHTERS, not Great Weapon DEFENDERS. The fact that they can pop unstoppable 10 times before they die is ridiculous. I used to love the GWF and always said they needed a buff. Now I don't even play it anymore because it literally requires no skill to use. If they're going to be tanks, take away the crit from ability scores. As far as crowd control powers go, I think the way things are now is fine until a player gets 5 different control skills on them at once. Want to shorten your time being controlled? Use an enchantment for it. The only thing that should be done to control powers is controlled characters should build up a tolerance to it. Call it Adrenaline, give it a green bar, and put it underneath every character's health bar so controllers know how tolerant a character is going to be to their control skills so they can adjust their actions accordingly. Increase recharge times on control powers. Or, better yet, give us a CONTROL RESIST stat on gear instead of "Tenacity." Want to solve the tanking/crit problem? Change deflect severity based on classes. Give the tanks -25% damage and the squishies -50% or so. Change the base crit severity to 50%. Rework the PvP and other gear sets so that EVERY class can have gear that adds 2300 max life or whatever. PvP is completely gear-dependant and THAT'S where you need to start, not with individual character abilities. The problem with the game so far is that PvE content is severely lacking and not very captivating, the Dungeon Delve system sucks (1 delve every 6 hours??? No wonder why people exploit the HAMSTER out of them), Skirmishes give HAMSTER rewards and there's really no point in doing them, and the people tired of PvE won't do PvP because you have 17k gear scores mixed with 9k gear scores. Start by matching people up based on gear score instead of when they enter PvP queue. For example, give it a gear score bracket like the level bracket when leveling up. You know, 30-39 Domination, but instead make it 8k-10k Domination. All "Tenacity" is going to do is make PvP a battle between the haves vs. the have-nots. Do PvP to get PvP gear, but you can't do good in PvP because you don't HAVE PvP gear? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. If you're going to do something like that you REALLY need to introduce some new PvP sets that play on the strengths of every class instead of... Well, the DC PvP set. Need I say more? All I see from this proposed solution on the forums so far is that we will have complete domination by other classes instead of the current ones. Tankiness in PvP revolves around life, defense, and deflect (mostly life and deflect). Survivability in PvP is a combination of tankiness + regen/life steal. You find a way to fix that and reduce base crit severity to 50% and you'll solve most of your problems.

As it stands, this is beginning to remind me a lot of WoW and what ruined it. You put this in and you will effectively take PvP out of the game for the less elitist players. With PvP being ruined even more and no point in playing PvE other than for the annoying, redundant dailies and 1-per-day Dungeon Delve event (if you're lucky enough to be on), I know that there are going to be a lot of people quitting. I will be one of them.

Well, u could just remove DC's from PvP.. it would save u time to code other things insted of the permanent nerfs on DC's.... **** i cant remember a patch where DC's actually get better, both in PvP and PvE. And i rly dont feel that DC's are better than other classes at all.

Seriously, this is starting to be unaceptable. All a DC can do in PvP is surivive and hold a node the best he can and againts the same GS enemie we dont have a chance (yea DC's can be unkillable but thats for people who dont know how to PvP)

STOP LISTEN to the whinners and go see hardcore PvP matchs, use ur GM powers and see premades vs premades and try to learn something about PvP.... Then u can make some changes.

I dont consider my self an top PvPer but im much better than average players and i also played againt the best pvpers in this game, premade vs premade.

New PvP focused stat: Tenacity

Did miss this in the D&D source books? I do not recall this being a stat in the game. So, NeverwinterMMO is no longer going to be based on the D&D game?

Finally seeing some tests from the high end PvPers. No one can kill each other. Seriously devs, if you want to see what it's like when people have maxed toons that are meant for PvP, we can post vids, play against you, anything. But pugs will have zero hope of killing me and I am a CW. This will just further the distance between new players and pro players and destroy high end PvP.

Please, please rethink this.

If ANY of this is pushed live...you will see a mass Exodus from the game...

People are just waiting on ESO or Wildstar now...
This will just speed that along.

Video of the Bad changes..

I will always be a rogue, no matter how they nerf my class. :D

An Impact Shot nerf? Oh well, I have some other power for toying with my enemies :D I just don't like what I read about that new tenacity stat...as well as others who did...

This looks........interesting. Kinda sad to see this game going the same way that every other MMO has gone in its pvp.

So, any chance of turning one of the GWF shouts into an actual taunt? Or are Sentinel GWFs still gonna remain the toughest ******* child class in Neverwinter?

Those foundry changes look nice. Thanks for sneaking those in.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

As a GF i of course like the patch, some powers I didn't use much, have more potential now.
I honestly think we lacked a tiny bit of damage to be competative in dungeon runs. Main reason for that is GWF's having both role as tank and DPS nowadays. which doesn't make sense. If GWF tab skill unstoppable was nerfed with it's damage resistace, I would have been happier already. I am full DPS oriented GF, i can beat some CW's.

I still dont see any difference yet with Knight's Challenge. I expected a toggle skill that wouldn't replace an encounter tab anymore, like swapping the Mark, Tab. But it has not really changed i think? only reduced cd.

One think I hope to see for GF's, that Terrifying Impact is more usable when a CW's is using Singu... It is a slow, but strong skill. I hate when i use my daily for my only true aoe, a CW uses its Singu skill, and I wo'nt do any more dmg at all.... My suggestion is, the first few seconds mobs are still on the ground, TI should still knock and damage them.

haven't tested pvp yet. but surely hope, it won't be as bad as people state.. fingers crossed.

Exactly the opposite, both the duration of the buff and the cooldown have been increased.
Nothing else have been changed other than now it has the same dinamic as Knight Valor (you pop the buff, you see the duration of the buff once the buff it's over it starts the cooldown).

Basically nothing has changed.
It just takes more time to kill a full green newbie.
Noone other than TRs is immortal despite what someone that never logged on the preview says.
Permastealth TRs are immortal but they already were (they can just stay stealthed untill healing depression turns off and keep firing at you armless).
GF still sux once the regen has been fixed.
GWF still are OP once built around the superbugged Deep Gash + Animation canceling.
DC will have to move toward the "debuff" route if they want to fill a slot in a PvP.
HR are still bugged as hell with their bugged vines.
CWs seemed the most balanced.
