I have played a few foundry missions, At the end you get a window to rate the mission and"Tip" the creator. I have given a tip to nearly all the folks who made their Missions(The few who I did not tip was due to not having AD). Its nice to reward a fellow player's creativity. So do you tip?
*DocBach if you are reading this, I have yet to be able to finish your Mission due to my game crashing and then not being able to launch back into the foundry mission, not a fault of your Mission. So far, your's has been a nice challenge an deserving of a great review!*

If the quest was worthy then I always tip. I have had a few that just where not worth the trouble and some others with a small tip. Only had three that I gave a big tip to.
Ever ask a halfling to watch over your stuff while you visit the privy? Was it there when you returned?
Max tip most of the time, half tip to those who are in the right way but need to work a little more, min tip to everything else... they worked on it afterall.
After playing about 100 ive tipped about 30/35 k AD... that's about 125 zen, so aprox 1 euro... 50 hours of entertainment for 1 euro... seems fair.
Well, I cannot tip a full amount as I have only 1-3 thousand ADs. And I am trying to save them up to get some new shinnies(both by AD and Zen). So until I actually HAVE AD to spare, I can't be tipping above 250ish.
I have tipped a couple, that I felt had special merit. I don't tip as a routine, anywhere, for I feel it should be a reward for the outstanding as opposed to the adequate.
the first time I tip unless it was bugged to death or terrible. Most of them have been worth the tip, only 2 or 3 were so bad I did not.
As for tipping: 300 AD (approx) is 1 penny (1 zen = 1 penny = 300 more or less). In the grand scheme of things, its a tiny amount of AD for anyone except a brand new player who just unlocked prayer/dailys.
I think that given the time spent to make a decent foundry that is bug free and fun to play, 1 penny is not too much of a tip to ask for. It works for everyone: no one player loses a significant amount, and the author gets a few tens of thousands AD for the work. This encourages people to make more content, which is good for everyone. So please, if you can afford it, tip a little!
I always tip - I don't have time to do Foundries myself, and I think that long-term, those designers are as much the future of the game as the devs are.

I tip if the quest is worthy of a tip.
Also: Guys, you should tip. Not just for the authors - you get achievements for tipping, too. :P

I tip if the quest was worth it.
I generally try to avoid something I'm not going to enjoy, so I almost always tip.
I also leave proper stars and feedback.

So, because by choice I decide to make a foundry mish, I should expect to be paid for doing so? Hum and all this time I thought they did it cause they liked to.. silly me.

I tip if the quest was well done. I don't tip if it was poorly done. I also try to leave detailed feedback within the small space you are given.

If I laugh, jump or find myself challenged, I most certainly will tip. Someone took the time to create something for us, the least I can do is give them 50 AD.
Except for the guy that did Bill's Tavern. That man's a genius that gets a maximum tip every time.
OMG I honestly thought the "TIP" area was to give clues or ideas about how to do the quest. LOL. Never understood that it should be payment. I will from now on. I agree, these people spent good time and effort and should be tipped.
if it is well made and i enjoy it then yes i make a habit of tipping whenever i can
oh and yes the person who made Bill's Tavern and the person who made Protecting the Caravan (i think its called) awesome kudos to you guys!!
oh and of course kudos to all you out there making Foundry Quests .. you guys rock!!
Then again I'm an author almost exclusively and I know the time and effort it takes to deal with the foundry and get it to do what we need it to do to tell the story we are trying to tell.
If more people dabbled around with the foundry tools and got first hand knowledge of what it takes to create a quality quest I think everyone would tip as much as they could, even to the bad quests.
There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.
I always tip unless I've already tipped my max times that day. Now that I think about it, why exactly is there a limit on how many times a day you can tip a foundry author? I'm probably overlooking some potential for abuse somewhere, but I can't see how this limitation serves a purpose. I always feel guilty when I run a quest that I really enjoy and then realize I have to stiff the author just because I already tipped a few other guys/gals.

I have tipped every quest I have reviewed.
Thankfully the update has greatly diminished accidental closure.
i very rarely tip i think you should earn the tip and i am afraid the majority just dont qualify for a tip basically if there is a good story and the gameplay is well thought out i will tip otherwise lucky to get 4 stars theres just so much that has not been well thought out so i would rather reward those that deserve it then to just give everyone cash

Refer to Chili's awesome post.
I don't always max tip but try the Foundry. It's easy enough to make a bland as heck quests but even the worst quests take a decent amount of effort. Try making anything with the Foundry and you'll have a new appreciation for the effort put into most quests.
If they get anything above a 1 they probably deserve a tip.

(My first mission is quick, 20 mins! ... second, not so much, but... there's a lot of stuff to do)
Wicks and Things: NW-DI4FMZRR4 : The Fenwick merchant family has lost a caravan! Can you help?
Beggar's Hollow: NW-DR6YG4J2L : Someone, or something, has stolen away many of the Fenwicks' children! Can you find out what happened to them?
Into the Fen Wood: NW-DL89DRG7B : Enter the heart of the forest. Can you discover the secret of the Fen Wood?
