You sure it did not say max is 5? I read it somewhere I'm sure.
I'll pay more attention next time, but the text said "adds one more bla to your active companion slot". There could have been another text with "bla... maximum... bla", not sure
I think it did say max is 5 cause I bought a slot too. Maybe a dev or admin can tell us for sure. I also bought some inactive slots and there might have been a max posted on the zen market for those too. I think it was like 48 slots or something like that.

Honestly, a part of me really hopes they end up cutting PvP from Neverwinter. I really don't see it's place in D&D, and with so much potential for PvE content, including new races and classes, I think it'll just take resources away from additional PvE content, as well as just creating headaches for everyone, both PvPers and PvEers.
Dungeon challenge with friends... no raid in nwo please
If you dont like raiding then dont raid- pretty simple.
i on the other hand love to raid and want to see it in game very much.
I too enjoy challenging fights with friends and that is what raiding is all about- like i said, you dont have to raid if you dont choose to.
challenging fights with friends is raiding-i dont get your statement
Simply put that is the core interest in the D&D formulae. All the other stuff is unessential fluff. Crafting should be absent, let us the PC's explore and find those trinkets, those treasures, that special piece of equipment. Or buy it from a blacksmith or weaponsmith vendor. The process related to the word "GRIND" should be absent as well....leaving that to the other MMO's out there which there are plenty of.
Experience and explore the dungeons, the crypts, the towns, the cities and the world as a whole, experience the encounters(NPC's), experience roleplaying with other PC's, and experience the literature and knowledge of D&D to define your character and his/her involvement in/with it.

As of my latest information, duels are not allowed in Neverwinter. On the streets and in the taverns, yes. But there is a certain gathering
place, a school for the elegant arts of fighting, as its mistress
calls it. There, they engage in practice bouts, seeking to dissect and
study the various styles practiced by blademasters along the coast.
Also, the lady in charge, one Elyne Tschavarz, assures me that dueling
is not allowed. Simply the teaching of various methods to improve the
stance, strength, and grace of her students.

Control wizard's spells got lengthened for PvE, this means the wizard was nerfed all the time because of PvP. Wonder about the other classes...
No official source, could be a rumour.
I am already scared of what happens to the game in the future.
