This is purely to ask which kind of activities you want to follow and what game content you expect in Neverwinter. There is a huge diversity between players and what they want to do in a game like this.
Yes, I love polls, hope I covered enough options

I'm curious about crafting, because I rarely like it in games, but when I do I do a lot of it. I also rp and will be designing stuff in the Foundary. Beyond that it'll be as much pve as I can get in its various forms. I love questing.

but i also like crafting a lot. I love to make something... useful. one of my favorate games craftingwize was neocron
in neocron ALL that dropped was logical things like rat meat spiderlegs glass... from these you could make chemicals
from chemicals you made parts (wepon/armour/vehicle...ect) you could blueprint ANYTHING and make it from parts
big bosses dropped constructible mega wepons you had to be crafter to put together
My point is i like it when you don't just have oh wow i can make chestplate number 4 just like every one else
I prefer neocron you got a really awsome drop set you could make it for other people if you had the skill.
fully made wepons and armour wernt dropping but mix and matchable bits were.
it felt like you were really making something special.
also in neocron crafting helped your stats. I know there is no chance of that kind of crafting in NWO
We will probibly all have to choose wepon smith armourcraft tailor
herbilist/alchemist in fact we probibly wont even get a choice it will probibly be chosen for us.
In NW if a barbarian drops an armor, it will be the actual armor or equipment he wore during the fight. This is something I like about this game and it used to be like that in older games, but somehow little beetles can drop full plated armor parts nowadays.
To only get parts and you rely on other crafters to get anything is a little too heavy I think
I already have my blog site set up ready to go for it (in sig).
Maybe it's just because I don't know it yet.
- Appearance Customization - i.e. work on armor/clothing appearance, farm for dyes and costume unlocks, etc. (which granted, its highly disappointing in NWO compared to other Cryptic titles but still an option and element in the game)
- PvP Dueling (preferably with a mass dueling option in case of fights break out between multiple characters, perhaps through RP)
Also...
- Screenshop Collection
- Troll the forums when done with the game
Ok those last two were freebies, but kinda related to the game >.>
PS: I'm also joking about the trolling part in regards to the forum, still point being they can become an integral part of the game for some
I'm mostly an explorer/PvPer, but I can't say no to doing every single quest ever.
1. Dungeon/instancing farming
2. Combat & grinding for funsies
both are very impoortant to me and both are the only reason im playing.
Character is what a man is in the dark
You're going to have to quit your dayjob to do that in Neverwinter. Don't underestimate the D&D Communities ability to crank out the quests Som!
I'm not going to touch PvP at all really but I love me some Puzzle Quests, Roleplaying and quest developing to name a few.
I know from other games, I used to totally forget about my own level and just made sure the companion got enough experience. So you spend hours letting the hireling hit trash-mobs to increase its level
Then check my quest next beta weekend <Bwahahaha>. "The Wild Moon(mote) Chase".
The foundry tool just became +1. Next quest will be logarithmically puzzling with lots of puzzles - just like a PnP game. I am afraid that at this speed it might even actually replace PnP soon.
{And completionist will need to run my quests a few time to actually do everything for the storyline is complex and you cannot do B if you did X after Y - and things like that}
I also like getting good gear for them. One thing that I am not so fond of is that you only get like 2 or 3 active companion slots at a time. You can buy slots up to a maximum of 5 companion slots per character. If you have more than 5 companions you have to put them in the inactive companion slots and you cannot have gear on companions in the inactive slots.
- Titania Silverblade, the Iron Rose of Myth Drannor (Lvl 60 GWF, Destroyer)
- Gwyneth, the Cowardly Cat Burglar Drowling (Lvl 60 TR, Saboteur)
- Lady Rowanne Firehair, Heartwarder of Sune (Lvl 33 DC)
- Satella, Sensate (LvL 44 CW, Renegade, Non-Active)
Check Steppenkat's Foundry Quest Reviews!
I bought that upgrade to have +1 active companion for ~800 Zen. It stated +1 and didn't say anything about the maximum.
Only one companion at a time, but you can summon another while one is active on training.
