For the last couple of weeks I've been enjoying working my way through the new zones and their stories. Today I unlocked Cold Run and did all the quests up to the one to enter the new dungeon.

It's only then that I find out the requirements to actually enter. 3,1k IL and 29% Everfrost resist???? wtf!

Completely put off from playing the game any more. What is the point of weeks and weeks grinding just to enter a dungeon? I play games to be entertained, not as a substitute for a job.

By the way I just checked what I have:

    Boots from HEs: 8%
2 pieces Frostborn armor: 9% (145 tradebars approximately 20 days of VIP bars)
    Makos' signet: 3%
    Potion of Everfrost resistance: 5%
    Food: 2%
    2nd boon: 2%

This gives me 29% so it's enough to enter right now, only reputation missing and that will take some more days. The only real issue is maintenance cost on the armor, especially for less overall-geared players who will take more time to go trough FBI.

I think you miscalculated some where, the trade bar merchant only sells boots and armor for 7%?

No, he is correct. The armour gains an extra 1% in each piece when fully charged to Tier 3 with Voninblod. It is sold at Tier 2.

"2 pieces Frostborn armor: 9% (145 tradebars approximately 20 days of VIP bars)"

You can only use one piece of Armor at a time and its max is 5% resist. Please explain how I get another 4% resist out of the tradebar store WITHOUT buying the boots, since you already get those boots from Bryn HE?

    thx

Here is what I have so far for my cleric without spending Zen, but spent 40k AD for the gloves:on the Auction house:

Lightender's Restoration Cuisses: 8% resist at tier 3. Received from bryn HE. Got three of them. So its not that rare.

Frostborn Restoration Surcoat: 5% resist at tier 3. Got from Tradebar store.

Makos Signet: 3% resist ring. Got from Cold Run quest.

Frostborn Raid Braces: 4% at tier 3. Got from Auction House in the glove pack or some such thing for 40k AD. Put frostborn in search and select equipment tab.

Zurek: 2% resist. Stronghold food potion

Potion of everfrost resist. 5% resist for 1800 seconds. Get from campaign store.

2nd boon in Storm campaign: 2% resist

    total resist: 29%

    edit:
I havent even mentioned the shirt and pants yet from the campaign store. I have them unlocked but not purchased. There are also epic version of them which can be unlocked. these blue level ones give 2% each.

There are also Everfrost Resist Armor kit in campaign store for even more resist.

We have everfrost resist coming out of our ears if we look at everything.

I now have 1 toon to 3100 and he has 1 piece of warborn Armor. Tomorrow I can open FBI, but I'll wait and do all the boons and the cost reductions for Lonelywood & Cold Run before going back and getting FBI to give me time to get the Armor. etc.It should take a few weeks.

The cost reductions are a waste of time. You will never get a return on that investment.

Can you hit the 29% enter and then swap back to your regular gear?
