Pops during the week end. Be patient... Other than that, well, worst implementation of a game mode ever seen. Been laggy unplayable since release to the end, filled with, by the very nature of the mode, fully organized guild groups stomping regular enemies. Which is understandable since it's a mode created for guild PvP and, also, the rewards are very unbalanced for the time each match takes: 30 minutes or more at least, sometimes close to 1 hour match, and if your team loses and can't damage the enemy SH enough, you get no banners. In the best scenario, you get 1 banner when losing. After a 1-hour match.
But my guess is that the reason why nobody wants to partecipate, is that it's too laggy. You don't really fight in SH siege. More like you try to do something through the monster lag.
So basically you have a part of players who farmed it at the start, expecially big guilds, to get the armor, then stopped. And another part of players who tried the mode, got fed up with the unplayable lag that plagues it, and left.
They must rework it, make it playable and keep the base idea of a PvP mode with PvE objectives mixed in, and the siege stuff.
10v10, or 15v15 maximum, and a smaller map.

Im sorry, but weekends are my busy time as well, I was going to make a post on this.
They should add banners into the trade vendor and make it buy-able by seals or glory.
I know they want you to play this.. but as other mentioned.. its really bad map area, large and laggy. I dont mind it.. but If I cant get a match in the 20-30 mins im queued up for it during my daily farming.. Im not ever going to get the banners needed..
what i don't understand is, why is it laggy ? !!! I end up loosing to low geared players just because im busy fighting against the lag, trying to make my encounters works -_-

it dont pop through day, but you can play all evenings every day. pop regularly every 20 minut after previous match end. what is tedious is you can spend all evening play against the same pvp guild, but afterall i already have 2 sets lionsmane, all solo que. so its not that impossible

but.. what if just wish to avoid it ? Whats the difference really? just basically forcing us to play that map? I think if they moved it back into a trade that I could spam run gg and doms with.. would get me back into pvping more regularly.
I sort of miss it.. kind of.. sort of.

there should be some AD reward not only vouchers and banners. then more players will participate and you can even have matches without pvp guilds trolls.
Ok, apparently you don't a banner reward unless you score 200 points AND the enemy base is under 3000 points...
Cryptic, you have created a laggy mess with siege that you have been unwilling to fix or even acknowledge that there is a problem. It is so bad that siege queues are 1 hour long or better and then the entire siege experience is lag. on top of that you don't bother to reward people for actually participating in anyway unless they meet 2 criteria, 200 points is acceptable and manageable even against a strong team, the map is big and one can go find a place to get points without too much trouble. the 2nd requirement of getting the enemy base under 3000 hp is absolutely HAMSTER, and you have been given a lot of feed back on why so unless you actually bother to respond to this and ask for more info... (which i would be happy to give if i knew you actually even cared)
Your game is really starting to suck cryptic

new player should understand these basics -
if your team is roflstomped everywhere on the map and you see many players from one guild on enemy team, especially grouped ones, you better quit. all your teammates too, you get no penalty and get new match sooner, if everybody who quit go que again. maybe even avoid these enemies entirely.
if your team is weaker, but not as much, dont defend your base at all cost but pick the easiest line as a team and try to lower them under 3000. Then you get one banner and enemies who wins match two banners. and matches are much quicker with this tactic. even only 20 minutes
you can spend hour defending your base and get nothing or all players can focus on attacking, stronger team win anyways and matches are quicker ....
To obtain the amount of banners, the speed is very slow....kind of boring
As if the grind for 600 seals of protector and 12,000 guild marks for just the chest piece alone wasn't enough.

It seems I made the right decision to call sick the first day SH was released... (I bet I am not the only one! ) Got complete set the 2nd day SH released...
I got boots, arms and chest pieces. Boots and arms already upgraded to elemental, chest piece will start today after maintenance. Will get all bonuses, and don't think i'll hurry to farm the 4th piece unless they fix the game mode. I've heard module 8 weapon sets are very good so i'm unsure if i'll need to farm stuff for the SH weapon set. I already got all i needed.
But it's a shame cause i really, really, really like the concept. It's a new, fresh, exciting mix of PvP fight, siege warfare and PvE objectives, where every type of player can contribute. I might try to post some feedback and improvements in the feedback section.
For example:
if what causes the lag is the number of players and size of the map, then why not reduce it to 15v15 and on a smaller map. Also it would be nice if something like this could be implemented:
during a match, depending on the situation, the system (call it "A.I. general) determines which "objectives" are more important, and basically the players that "complete" these objectives get "tactical points", the amount determined by the priority of the objective. These tactical points are used to create an hidden ladder (no leaderboard). Each match, the player with most tactical points in each team becomes the "general", and can point out the objectives he thinks are top priority for his team, during the match. He's allowed to "place" visual indicators on these objectives, and these objectives, when completed, give the players who completed them a reward in the form of an extra banner or another reward.
Example: enemy controls the upper road. Cut their supply line: top priority. Our team controls lower road. Build up catapults: top priority. Protect the supply line: 2nd priority. Enemy builds up catapults. Top priority: destroy the enemy catapults.
And so on. So the human generals gradually "replace" the A.I. "general", and if there's not a clear general available, the A.I. is in control, giving feedback to its team about what is needed.
It's a way to fill the gap between a fully organized premade and a random group. And is also a way to "guide" less experienced players and help them, so they won't be running around without a clear objective. This would also speed-up the match.
I think a less-dispersive 10v10 or 15v15 scenario, with a smaller map, would also help speed up a typical SH match.

as more folks level up their Strongholds more and more folks will need Banners of the fallen.
as more folks level up their Strongholds more and more folks will need Banners of the fallen.
more folks will play SH PvP
I disagree. New module is about to release, so people will spend more time doing new content. Most people that really wanted banners would have gotten them early on when it was easy to get into a match. Even the ones that didn't have a high level marketplace were doing it and save their banners.
All there is left that actually queue up for siege now are those that haven't got all their pieces, or working on their alts, or dragged in by guildies. It is the least favorite form of PvP in the entire NW history, you have to be lucky during certain hours of the day (less on weekdays, a bit more on weekends) to get into a match.
The Devs need to wake up and realise siege was a fail, and read some feedbacks as to why it is a fail and do something about it. They spent so much time making this siege PvP, and such a big hype on the realease. Now if only they spend a bit of time to fine tune it and fix the problems. A good place to start is to reduce the map size and number of players, in hope it'll reduce some lag and make this a more popular form of PvP.

underdark launched, it will be pack of days, where people play underdark and abandon everything else. if players on your team leaving, the reason will be they realize they stand against pvp guild premade (although some may disconnect), so there is no chance for proper reward anyway
I am here on the weekend and it is not fkn popping. LOOK CRYPTIC. I get it. you want us to buy the gosh damn lockbox keys to get the armor. just come right out and make it a zen available armor.
if it is you actually want people to get this armor then make some incentive for stronghold because no one seems to que for it anymore( which is extremely disappointing)
Yeah, i can confirm...was trying yesterday but it wasn't poppin'. Cryptic should fix this mess, expecially considering that if it does not pop, players can't even get fallen chests to open with zen keys...
Overall, they should rework the mode to a 10v10 or 15v15 max, with no lag, faster ways to move and faster match duration.

This is the very reason why its best to do the new arty weapon's mote farming first, cus once most ppl have it already... its gonna be harder and harder to grain...
but yea, I think they should offer motes in zone quests or increase the fight's difficulty but increase the number of mote drops too, or offer it to smaller HEs too, otherwise in 2~3 months time, new players would struggle to find a group of ppl to finish up this quest....
well motes can be grinded with guild, friends or solo (if geared). It's PvE... SH siege is a different story...no people playing it--->no banners. I got 3/4 parts (enough) time ago, wanted to grind for my SW too but not possible. The whole game mode was poorly implemented (but the idea was good) and failed miserably. So much wasted potential...

I like this idea. I was thinking maybe they could keep the 20 v 20 (it worked ok no lags in xbox so far). But if the que is not popping for a certain amount of time, they could pick 15 x 15, 10 x 10 groups, or maybe even 5 x 5 just so the match happens.

No lag on xbox? Nice... Why is it so unplayable for us PC users then? I have a fairly fast connection and my game usually is running at 60+ FPS. But i still lag in SH siege. They might figure out why on xbox it got no lag, and on PC instead it is a laggy mess...

If the add the banners for sale say in Trade of Blades, no-one is going to run SH Siege at all.
Just put the SH-PvP to the "Hourly Event" 2x Banner Double Banner Event every 2hours for example, So players will know when to they have to Queue and eventually more players will go for it.

The major problem is the lag... It's mostly due to the 40 players and huge particle filled map. They totally forgot why GG was reduced to 20 player fight. Unless the number of players and the trees and stuff reduce, the lag can't be fixed
