Preview server is up...

Equipment and artifacts have item levels now. Legendary artifacts and artifact gear are only 60 in item level. The first question is how do we improve the item level of a piece of equipment? And then how many RP is needed to raise the IL of a legendary artifact gear that already sucked up 4.8 mil RP or 13.5 mil AD already? OK... maybe 20 million RP or 60 million AD? Good luck if you have that much AD to spend...

Gone is GS apparently... I am wondering what stats are people use in LFG...

Character stats such as powers and abilities also seemed to be scrambled a bit too.

Some feats are reset, but not all of them, why?

    I noticed the rank 10s in the preview already has the new stat of rank 12 enchantment. (Rank 10 Radiant was +300 power, in preview its now showing +400 power). The refinment point from rank 9 to 10 hasn't changed.

    This leads me to think the items has more levels/ranks/stronger, but the RP points to refine the gears remain the same, just my guess :)

    Yes, enchantments are buffed. That's why characters stats are also buffed. Enchantments goes up to level 12 from 10 but it is less a problem since they can be removed intact and tradeable, and the cost of upgrading them beyond level 10 is still far below that of upgrading a legendary artifact gear beyond 60 to achieve the same gain in stats.

    New dominion pvp gear too, and far better... The Drow sets. Cost of Profound, Grimm etc are bumped down 1 level respectively.

    Since gear score is seeming going bye bye and average gear level is incoming, it looks like the PUG mechanism will be shifted to average item level based too. A quick peek shows Draconic Templars are at item level 116 and the new Drows at IL 123. All significantly better than artifact gear.

    That said... Say Amen to Artifact Gears and Tiamat.

    We can only talk about what we see NOW. That's what the preview shard is for. If they change things later, then we talk about them later... and the developers never commit to any change.

    If the guy in charge of assigning the ilvls says he hasn't changed them for artifact gear yet and that what he's done with the weapons and off-hands will be going in the next patch, then there isn't much point in blithering on about how horrible it is now, because it's NOT DONE.

    Who said it is done? It is PREVIEW. That's their CURRENT plan. If they change things later, they will update the Preview shard. If they don't change things, it stays the same. I think MOST players know what is in a PREVIEW server. You don't need to make the same post to tell what basically everybody knows.
